I am lower than a newbie, I don't know anything, but Father Fish said that algae start to form if the dirt in the substrate is not covered by a couple of inches of sand so that it is anaerobic. Once the nutrients start flowing up into the water, it produces algae.

That vase is quite incredible. You've done a fantastic job there. Try the yellow shrimp. The brighter and more banana yellow, the better: they show up against absolutely any surface/background (unless you have a pale beige coloured substrate). I love mine: they are easily visible from a couple of metres away: much more so than the blues and reds in my other tanks...

I really love how the vase turned out, tough I think that the 25L are still not enough space to keep otocinclus inside that tank or fish at all especially if you bear in mind that they like to in a group of at least 4-6 fish. Still love your videos and your aquascapes but I just wanted to mention that point.
@typicallyusual6984
@typicallyusual6984 Год назад
I agree, especially with the dimensions. It really doesn’t have the horizontal swimming space fish need. If it was a 25L long tank then very small fish might be possible.

Fishes, really? I thought you were going to place shrimps there only. This is not acceptable tank for fishes :( C'mon i like your channel but this is something i would expect from a newbie not experienced fish/plant keeper. I know those Razboras are small, but the tank should be horizontal, not vertical. Fishes dont swim vertically most of the time. Big let down for me, your channel was one of my favs.
@aleksandardajko2232
@aleksandardajko2232 Год назад
@ Agnus78 You are wrong. Those Razboras are not more then 2cm and vase is 28cm in diameter with approx 25L. Actually those cylindrical vases and bowls are suitable for such small fishes because they like to swim around in circle, so they won't go UP and DOWN so much. And just take a look, any kind of fish rather like to swim in cylindrical shape aquarium then rectangle ones, so there we come to the point that shape is more much important then the actual size. This is not 5L bowl... its 25L vase!| Great job MJ, just keep going!

I have a question to the scape in this video and the question is: Are this plants still alive/growing in this aquascape xxl VASE without a filter and more important without co2 ? How about the bucephelandra? Did it was successfull to put the bucepelandra in their? Did you put vitamines in the aquasoil and can I take this plants although in my build even I put a heater for the Fishes inside? Thank you in advance for ansering and maybe if you like the idea too I would be very happy if you can make a video about scaping a tank with plants which dont need a co2 mashine and can live their plantlives without that and all this maybe you could scape in a 30x30x30 or 35x35x35 cube und make riparium with that ( Its like a paludarium but without earth- I cant remember right now if you make something like that in the past). So this would be my future video wish but for now I were very thankfull if you can give me an answer regarding my question about the plants that you used in this video. PS. Sorry for my horrible english- I am from Germany. So thank you for everything and Best regards from your RU-vid-video-viewer Vassilios:)

It’s absolutely beautiful but there really isn’t enough horizontal swimming space for the fish. I don’t mean to be rude and I enjoy most of your aquariums/videos, but I notice that occasionally you overstock your tanks with fish that shouldn’t be kept together or in tanks that are too small for them to comfortably swim in. I hope the fish are just temporary. The shrimp were a great choice though!
