I never got to see Tony play and never knew why he left. Loved this band right up until headless. Saw the 89 and headless tour and hated blackie when I met him. Chris Holmes on the other hand was an absolute diamond with the fans backstage

It was awesome seeing them at clubs on the Sunset Strip in the 80's.

@@bigjermboktown6976 Those were good tours. The Last Command tour was awesome. I saw them last year for the 40th Anniversary tour, definitely worth it.

I saw them with maiden in 86 on the somewhere on time tour in PORTUGAL. That was powerfull. Greetings.

Got to see them open for KISS in 85 in Corpus Christi, Tx. Great show! Each band member had a huge head impaled on spikes! Blackie was at his best!

Blackie Lawless is the most completed musician that came up in that era and one of the most completed musician of all time.He can sing in his unique voice,plays guitar,plays bass,plays piano,plays keyboards,plays drums,one the best songwriter ever and doing all of these in a perfect professional way.WASP should have been as big as Iron Maiden if not bigger but for some reason didn’t.They were attacked very badly from Parential music tip algor and in many countries and states they were prohibited to perform.Regardless of all these they maintained a cult following all over the world headling large theaters and at some point of their career large arenas and are one of the few bands of the era than have performed/are performing in all Europe Latin America,Asia among others headlining theaters that never had ups and downs where many 80s bands after the grunge explosion faded and many big bands of the 80s ended up playing small clubs like Motley Crue and the friends.No one band of the 80s have played/are playing heavily in all European countries and other continents that WASP have done/are doing.The very most of 80s bands like 95% of them are playing only in the States and can perform out of the states only in festivals not headlining their own shows like WASP have done/doing.WASP have been releasing continuously new music for 40 years without interruption and playing and touring extensively all over the world for their fans.I Love WASP.I am not 80s generation either 90s cos I was born in the 90s but I Love so much the heavy part of the so called glam metal era bands like WASP(Which are more of a Heavy Metal band)Dokken Quiet Riot,Cinderella skid row,Ratt as well bands like Great White,Whitesnake,Guns Roses Iton maiden,diamond head,Saxon,accept Helloween scorpions,Bon fire,firehouse,helloween,Riot(early years)Krokus,Manowar,savatage and many more and dislike the other part of the so called glam and heavy metal the bubblegum pop rock posers like poison bon jovi and the likes.Maybe you like them but this is my taste.Anyways no one like you Sir.Blackie Lawless.
