Holy moly!! I love how you appreciate other people’s cultures and how they sing different from us. I can hear the Arab influence in pop riffs and runs. But this stuff is impressive! I’ve always loved the Arab style of singing. Some ppl may see it as cringy, but as a singer, I appreciate it. It’s hard to be able to switch between those notes. Pitch accuracy is on 10!
Raspiness and cracks are very desirable vocal techniques in the middle east because they convey heavy emotion and extreme sadness. In a way, it even resembles the sound of wailing and crying.
that's true but not all singers use it, Fairuz for instance seems like using Heady mixed technique which is so rare in Arab singing and barely uses any voca cracks
cracks really aren't that desirable if youre a 1% listener, it's desirable to the public who listen to rap and are fascinated, I find cracks to be a very easy and boring technique
@@practicallyascientist9971lmao what? Its quite literally the oldest technique and a staple of classic old traditional arabic singing. Modern arab pop singers do not have the training to do this anymore. This talent is reserved for classical music and orchestral performances now
You don't even know Om Kalthoum yet, She is something else in every aspect of singing. She had a career of over 50 successful years , her songs are average 45 minutes long! The microphone is at least meter away from her while she is singing because of how strong her voice is although she is 70 years old or so. She is a legend not only for the Arab but for the entire world.

Maybe not Arab but get to know Turkish Diva Bulent Ersoy. She's out of this world. Her voice and videos are like a trip to the moon. These Arab voices are not human. I'm blown away. Why isn't there a craze for these voices and artists?
Actually most of those people are contestants in musical programs. We have some who we call the kings & queens of Arabic singing. I believe Arabic has the widest range of sounds as Language which alow us to explore more on our vocals potential

Who put this video together probably doesn’t know much about music. I can think of a bunch of stronger belters and faster runners out the top of my head. Even I would include some falsetto and head voice notes in a video like this, not only belts. And those were mostly singing shows contestants.
When you pronounce ع ع ق ص ض ط ط ء on a daily basis there’s literally nothing you can do with your voice the ع makes you dig deep into your throat and once you get accustomed you’ll see how much more with your voice you’ll be able to do
