I live in San Diego where there is a large middle eastern population, so it is not uncommon to say be in a store, or market, and hear arabic. But I. noticed something- I would always think they were speaking French for a second before I realized it was arabic. I am a French language learner, so I always have my ear open for other francophones (you get excited when you can find some because in USA it can be pretty hard). So, I thought...I wonder if arabic and French have similar roots.
As a French of Egyptian origin it's a very interesting video haha merci beaucoup 👍 and just for the Arabic words used in French, they are actually borrowed from maghrebi dialects (mainly Moroccan and Algerian) so Egyptian smight sometimes have a hard time understanding them (like for kleb)
