Okay here i go, So this girl named Lizzie of course finds a book, but before u see in the beginning, it shows on the last two pages one with a pug face and everything, that's how she wanted to look she also explains and tells us what her favorite colors were and you see in the part with the paint brush, where she is painting an image of how she thinks she is gonna look like, now the book first is simple get flowers, grape, and fruits or something and then she becomes so obsessed and the recipe gets more drastic. each time she changes into something new so she became obsessed because she loved her changes, Which they say in the title lizzies delight saying she loves her colors and the changing, now at the end you see what actually looks like after everything and thats why she is crying at the end cause they tricked her into sacrificing a bunch of animals and fruits and plants to turn into that but she didn't .

One animal, wanting to be more beautiful than the rest, decided to make themselves every colour, but they mixed together and became pitch black, or just a muddy ugly and distorted mess. Distressed by the outcome, the animal falls into despair, not being beautiful like they wanted to be. I guess your theory makes it so, reading the story, Lizzy takes it too literal and dives into something she really shouldn't have. Very interesting. And that's gives me an idea for a weird fairy tale!

This world started small, innocent, and based on the real world at first. But then it started to get more and more fantasy driven, with her own characters being more and more unrealistic. Lizzy became so obsessed with her fantasy world that she starts losing sight of reality; She becomes bored with the real world. She decides to live in her fantasy world by making a cute fantasy version of herself. Lizzy lives in bliss for a time until her real world problems catch up to her. Lizzy knows she’s gotten out of touch with reality but continues to hide in her mind, despite her world crashing down around her. She grows to hate even her fantasy life. Honestly I think the story is of girl who was envious of the colours God had bestowed to the animals. It was her greed which sent her into madness when see began using arcane right's to steal the colours for herself. And for her cruel deeds God turn her into abomination which complements her dark envious heart.

from looking over the lyrics and the video. i think the song represents humanities greed and envy. this creature that wanted to be prettier than everything did it because it saw everything with color. that comprehension brought it envy, enough that it wanted to be better than all of them. greed. the craziness that follows speaks for itself on the message there if thats the case. not to mention, before it picks up. this thing has shadows of human hands.
