My sweet god in heaven this game was a huge part in my life. I remember being 14 years old. I would come home and play this after school for HOURS. I did the world tour mode in every which way. I then turned to beating it with everyone just to see the endings. Then it was gradually turning up the difficulty. I just kept trying to look for ways to play it differently. Good god thinking back I can see that I still had focus and an attention span. I thought this was just something I was excelling at. And it was. But with the retrospect of adulthood, I see that it was just an escape. I didnt know it. I was a depressed fat kid who didn't get respect and just learned to hate dealing with people at a young age. All things considered, I'm grateful that was just a dumb game that I got hooked on instead of a gang. Or drugs. Drugs didnt happen till much later in life. I can distinctly remember playing this and just thinking my way through life. I would think about whenever I could finally own a car, and get girls and have a cool interesting job in the city. And I got all of those things. I wish that I could go back and talk to myself at that age and tell him that I DID get all those things, but none of them ever made anything any better. I would tell him to enjoy his time with his family while everyone is still around.
I've noticed recently on RU-vid that a lot of playthroughs, like this one, are not bothering to mention that they are tool assisted. It really makes the game look bad as I had the vid on and was only half paying attention to it, yet I was thinking man SFAlpha3 is a push over.
Reasons why this game is no longer canon: 1. Ryu didn't wear his red headband 2. I didn't cut my hair 3. Charlie who was killed in the last game is still playable rather than Shadow 4. Teenage street fighter Yun Lee is playable in SFA3 Upper (SFIII takes place in the 1999 and SFA3 takes place in 1990) 5. SFA2 had the most accurate plot which Capcom would later use in SFV 6. They ignored almost everything SFA2 has shown
I don't think this was supposed to be a sequel to Alpha 2, when it comes to story. I think every Alpha game was technically different retellings of the same story (how Charlie died for an instance), except with each game they would add more characters and plot. You seem to be right on one point tho, Capcom seems to take Alpha 2 as the canon game instead of 1 or 3.
Because the Anthology version is a direct port of the arcade original. The PS1 version added more characters and modes with later updates like Upper and Max doing the same thing.
First we had TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun), then TAP (Tool Assisted Playaround), so, this means this is TAL (Tool Assisted Longplay)? Or would it be a TASC (Tool Assisted Showcase)? There has to be a term for this rain of awesomeness...
Hey everyone. I'm stuck at level 23 and the game won't let me advance to any more levels it seems? Do it have to max out my XP for other ISMs? I only used Aism?
