I, for one, salute our sideways-shuffling, infinite-ammo-machine-gun-toting servicemen and women. God bless their poorly-animated souls and their ability to level entire cities with a single M4 and some hand grenades.
Yeah my dad fought in Vietnam and still has bad flashbacks of fighting those red mecha machines @28:00. He still freaks out today everytime Gundham or Robotech comes on because of that shit. Very sad.
I think the South Park version of Nam with the amusement rides was more historically accurate. Soldier: In Nam, the brush was thick with Mechas. The enemy planes could hold 1000 guys and a million grenades. The hot blondes to rescue and then lay down suppressive fire were few and far between. Buildings could be brought down with small arms fire. For some reason, we never actually encountered any Vietnamese. I mean, you would think, right?
This timeline had the weirdest version of the Vietnam War that I've ever seen! To think that Dr. Eggman's uncle was plotting to build a laser weapon to destroy the world was something I never foresaw!
Nam 1975 is legendary Snk Shoot em up With AWESOME graphics and STUNNING gameplay The stages are 2Fast 2Furious with 2Player action STUNNING firepower and excellent Boss battles This is a classic Neo Geo game with a vengeance 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you for this longplay ! I remember playing this game on emulator as a kid and I never finished it. I've always wanted to know how it ends. Didn't remember much about it, 'cept for some boss fights... Seriously, I recall shooting at unarmored guys for what seemed like several minutes, showering them with continuous strays of bullets, and it just looked like they were shrugging them off !
Ah, the early days of the NeoGeo, well before the latest releases consisted of fighting game, fighting game, fighting game, Metal Slug, fighting game...
Shootout (Data East, 1985) - The one that started the crosshair shooter genre. Empire City: 1931 (Seibu Kaihatsu, 1986) - Another crosshair shooter, but with a real crosshair added to it. The grandfather of Dynamite Duke. Cabal (TAD Corporation (splinter of Data East), 1988) - The one that popularized the genre. Dead Angle (Seibu Kaihatsu, 1988) - Sequel to Empire City: 1931 and father of Dynamite Duke. Dynamite Duke (Seibu Kaihatsu, 1989) - Unlike previous crosshair shooters, this was the first to feature close combat, which is why it was successful. Blood Bros. (TAD Corporation, 1990) - Spinoff of Cabal. NAM-1975 (SNK, 1990) - First Neo-Geo title. You even can throw bombs in this one. Riot (NMK, 1992) - Crosshair shooter where you can shoot in the foreground and background. Lucky & Wild (Namco, 1993) - Arcade-exclusive crosshair shooter with a steering wheel added to it. Wild Guns (Natsume, 1994) - An underrated crosshair shooter similar to Blood Bros.. Sin & Punishment (Nintendo/Treasure, 2000) - First 3D polygonal crosshair shooter. Features close combat using weapons. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Nintendo/Treasure, 2009) - Sequel to Sin & Punishment.
I beg to differ. Crossbow, by Exidy, was released in 1983. It was the same general genre, and probably has the claim to being the earliest game of this type.
Ah, this video's pretty new. I thought for sure that you (or someone) played this through years ago and uploaded, but I guess not. Oh well. Anyway, thanks for uploading this. I just got this with my Neo Geo X and I'm loving it and the console a lot. :)
Remember playing this game at MEPS-Military Entrance Processing Station aka the meat market right before I signed my name to Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty. Thanks for the flashbacks to the good old days. Do I have to go back to the hell again? Yes, cause the blood of our enemies will make the grass green and the trees to flowers bloom for mankind.
When using the flame thrower you should bring the cross hair down as close to your marine as possible then it is really fast and easy to sweep the whole screen with it.
KT Johnson It's been a long time since I've played this, but pretty sure you would press and hold the run button (C I believe?), and at the same time move the stick down-left or down-right.
One of the earliest Neo Game games before Fatal Fury/The King of Fighters/Art of Fighting, the two heroes getting mission in Vietnam to save everything.
LMFAO WTF The girl that runs to him near the end is the chick from Full Metal Jacket that is sniping them all from the building at the end of the movie. "Shoot....me!"
27:02 Holy shit that cheapshot after the cutscene... You literally have a half second to react before you get shot. And I thought Bayonetta was bad with that shit.
Yup. It's always been and It'll never end cause their no rest for the wicked. Pray for peace-pass and burn brass!!! My squad leader always says this whenever our squad goes out...
My mother’s cousin was a Vietnam vet and couldn’t work the rest of his life for psychological reasons. He said it was just like this, ninja flips and all.
