I'm sure this won't be read, let alone responded to, but you guys need to stop being so negative about A1U. Go back and look at your videos. It's 75% negativity and 25% neutral. You guys rarely have anything good to say. You people will be a big part of the reason the hobby goes under by virtue of the constant negativity.
Hey Fox glad to the surgery went well. A1U really needs to focus on the XL line moving forward. I personally dont think I will be purchasing 3/4 cabs again. So it is the waiting game which allows me to save my money. And it was great meeting you.
💯💯💯 What you said at 5:30 was spot-on, Fox... "The focus from here on out should be XL. It's the only thing that's going to make me want to purchase another Arcade1Up." For real though, I don't care what the title or price is: I won't buy another A1U that's not XL. 💯 💯 💯
I agree, they need to stick to the XLs or bigger+better than the XL. The Pac-Man XL is my first purchase from Arcade 1up. I was never interested in the smaller cabs. I saw the Pac-Man XL set up in Costco and decided they had finally done enough to win me over. To add: That battle damage adds charm. It has history now. It's not the same as being damaged during shipping.👍
Is there any videos out there showing the Assembly of this cabinet I purchased the street fighter XL I can't find a video for my life to help me step by step I'm not good at looking at paper instructions always watch the video to assemble the arcade one up 3/4 size
Real arcades arent perfect and flawless and thats part of their history. Sounds like you have an awesome experiences and those bumps and bruises remind you of the great times. Thats awesome Loved the godzilla clips when talking about pdubs lol
I'm thinking we have enough evidence with the live stream video and in person witnesses to prosecute PDubs. This crime should not go unpunished. After re watching the video it looked a little premeditated.
It really is too bad. I really, really hope 1up gets better with the shake up. And this is how the cabs should have been from the beginning. Or at the very least 2nd Gen. I think 1up would be in a lot better place if that had happened, and there would not be so many disgruntled cab owners. I'm glad it was fixable, and it looks much better next to real cabs then the 3/4 scale.
Freakin’ did this with the monitor on my Joust Legacy. Which was my first build. Hot glue, wood glue. Not perfect. Drove me nuts. At some point just had get over what I did. Modding with Sanwa sticks & led buttons from DIY Retro, and the 4/8 gate switchers from GRS helped me get over it.
Wow Fox, that was a really funny story. If you played some sorry piano music and gave us the visual of a doctor shocking his arcade cabinet back to life would have been icing on the cake. It could have been worse, what if PDUBS accidently left a cigarette next to your cabinet and it burned to the ground
yeah most my real arcades have gum, bumps, bruises just how it is. In my opinion coming across all original machines still with the same paint are RARE.
Fox, you are hilarious man! In a world flipped upside down, we need more of this type of humour. Your wood working skills are second to none and it's amazing what you can do. I'll say this in regards to the XL cabs. As a long time dedicated arcade collector, I often wonder if it's all worth it? Dealing with 400lb cabs, crt repairs and other issues, the 1ups often make sense but only in the XL form. Arcade 1up should definitely steer in this direction going forward. I myself would scale down my collection and replace some cabinets with the 1ups. XL with online play is the winning formula for them IMHO. Thank you for sharing my friend.
