You missed an appearance by Arcee in another Transformers series, Transformers Animated. Arcee didn't appear much in Transformers Animated, initially in a flashback Ratchet had about the incident that led to his being the mentor of Omega Supreme (a role originally meant for Arcee, but a copy of Omega Supreme's recognition code was sent into Ratchet as part of a failsafe protocol in the code) and we also learned that before Arcee was an agent for the Autobot secret project that was the Omega sentinels, she was a school teacher before the war with the Decepticons. Arcee did make a few more appearances in the series after that, but they were towards the latter half of the series; in the comics that picked up where Transformers Animated left off, she returned to her role as a school teacher helping Sari (who was revealed to be a protoform that had sampled, scanned, and randomized the DNA of Issac Sumdac to produce her) and other young bots to learn about the history and culture of Cybertron and guide them towards what they were meant to do in life.
Like many, I grew up with the Transformers from the beginning of it all. Arcee was always one of my favorite characters because she's pretty much one of the most unique of them all. Especially being the only girl Transformer like forever. I only recently started watching Transformers Prime, and so far that's my favorite iteration of her character yet. I'm kinda hoping in the upcoming movie that they somewhat model her personality on that version.
I agree, it's wierd too, because Elita-1 (or Ariel if you want a deep cut) has a lot more to do with Optimus as a character and is so underutilized. Kinda the same for poor Chromia, that it's surprising Arcee gets the lime light. Here's hoping these ladies get more love in the future.
Thx, I knew she was an OG Autobot but I barley knew much about her with her surprisingly barley being in the movies until ROTB. Crazy ROTB is her first actual appearance.
While I like G1 pink Arcee, the Prime Arcee is my favorite because not only she is badass but also compassion to her allies and human friends, mainly Jack.
I SINCERELY hope you are going to make a part 2 of this video about Arcee covering her run in the rest of the animated series, ESPECIALLY Transformers Prime. Out of all the versions I've seen of Arcee, for me, the undisputed DEFINITIVE version of her is the version from Transformers Prime.
I think it's more size related. A tiny Cybertronian car is cool, on Cybertron, but on Earth, not so much. Since Arcee is canonically pretty small for a bot, a motorbike kind of makes sense. And a lot of folks see it as a nod to Elita-1's alt mode.
As a dude who's a friend with dudettes and dating a dudette who are transformers (well one's part time) i never ask they're opinions my girlfriend is a bumblebee fan as I like chromia but we never argue on the ship. Regardless my part time transformers female friend fan likes movie hound I wonder how she sees g1 hound.
As a teen who watched and loved the first Transformers movie (the 80s animated one), I was irked by having a female Transformer... meaning that somehow those "superior technology based life forms" need biological issues to replicate, like having gender... and that meant that all the other Transformers being NOT female, meant that that their female versions were bound up and just as screwed up as our ancient history did and in some backwards areas still do. I hated adding sex and gender to F^CKING ROBOTS, especially romantic notions... to F^CKING ROBOTS. It took a while, but I grew to accept the asinine introduction of gender to a gender-irrelevant life form because Arcee (I saw her name as RC) was a great character when... being great. That damsel in distressed irked me when it happened, too... no other Transformer ever got that asinine role. Well, at least it worked with a mind transfer to synthetic human-seeming bodies. I've recently followed quite a bit of Steven Universe cartoons. That show's content creators were a bit less pre-teen in how they do the gender issue because of one of their "females" fell in love with a human and that species' OG status is that of one that forms romantic bonds. Ironically, that made me like Arcee more and a bit more forgiving of the "let's make a sexy lady Transformer who can whoop butt, so we don't look like man-babies for creating her" crowd.
im a fan of arcee for sure, but and im sorry to say this but, her original design was silly, i get pink princess lia hair arcee was the original... doesint inherintly make it the best... the first plane was made of paper, and the first tank could be busted with a somewhat large hand gun... first doesint mean nothing can ever top the original. and pink arcee looks silly.
lots wrong with this video.... greenlight is a girl, your pronouncing things like a computer would, jhiaxus is GEEEEhaxus. and you totally butchered several other character names across hasbro as well... the more and more i listen the more and more i think this is Computer generated and narrated... either that or the people running this channel are not fans, otherwise they would know the Lore... (I've seen all the Animated episodes, the "real" movie, as well as the "Bayformersverse") so which is it? are you just reading a script? or is this CG? give me a reason not to Unsubscribe!
Have you never watched G1 season 3? Or are you just trolling your viewers by deliberately mispronouncing Quintessons despite their name being frequently spoken aloud in the cartoon as KWIN-teh-sawns? And not once EVER as kwin-TESS-ehns.
there is lots wrong with this video did you hear how he referred to serpentor? or how he said jhiaxus like an AI would? its FREEKING GEEEEEHAXUS lol how hard is it to get names right? its either someone reading a script with no knowledge of the lore, or its an AI channel. go watch a few other videos they all sound robotic and mispronounce everything too!
@@alexdolce3291 Long story short, some sort of upgrade where another conscious is in the head and can become a mini transformer. (I haven't watched or read anything Headmaster related in years so this could be inaccurate)
