Came here to say this. I was upset when Angela stepped aside, not so much now.

I think it takes a lot of time just practically to figure out where a vocalist with an established style fits into the rest of your established band. Also they finally got the mixing down, thank god. Past albums annoyed me because the vocals sat way too "forward" in mix. This still has that, but it just melds so much better with everything! Instead of screaming "LOOK! We stole the vocalist from The Agonist look!!!" :DD

I agree. Unfortunately, Michael has a style/brand to protect and Jeff is very aware of it.

Same. For me, lots of their previous stuff felt overtired in terms of song structures and sometimes just cringe. But this song was pretty great.

I bet they would sound so good together! Especially if Randy and Alyssa both do their melodic singing, while one does singing the other screams or lets each other have the spotlight. Unfortunately a lot of metal artists only sing for a portion of a song on their spot if their being featured on a song, instead of being utilized throughout the song. Anyways this is a great track!

Michael and Sharlee (and the first singer Johan btw) have originated from the punk scene actually, they even made a tribute cover release called "Råpunk" with AE a couple of years ago. Disaccord, the first band Michael ever played with even before Carnage, were 100% punk

People who create media on these platforms literally have to walk on eggshells if they want to make money. The majority of People live inside social media echo Chambers now. They don't formulate opinions as a single entity. At one point, he asked Loomis-who was the primary songwriter in Nevermore-if he had any songs to contribute and Loomis was almost ashamed to admit he hadn’t written anything._ _“When they started writing, the album came together really fast,” Loomis says. “I did submit three songs, but I think I might have missed the deadline. THANK YOU! I unfortunately put Arch Enemy in the type of group as the band Disturbed. (Hear me out) Both groups have big strengths but there is one key problem that prevents me from wanting to actively listen to either of them. ALL THEIR SONGS SOUND THE SAME! Basically if you’ve heard one song by these bands you’ve heard them all. I really wish Arch Enemy would add clean/clear vocals in their songs to give a change of pace/direction to appeal to new fans. They played it too safe with Will to Power and not taking that big chance which hindered them with what Arch Enemy could potentially be.

Well the solos are the only thing he contributes to arch enemy because Amott won’t let him do more, so his 10 second contribution here is at least nice.

Hope you've heard the "Heirs To The Throne" track he released earlier this year, as part of the Jeff Loomis VST amp plugin. The clean middle section was GORGEOUS!!!

Angela stepped down to become a Band Manager and a mom, she chose Alissa to take her place and passed the torch to her, she's been a part of the band for a while now. that being said i like them both as they have great clarity in their growls, to see more of her check out You Will Know My Name, As The Pages Burn and War Eternal.

Angela had her last live performace in Mexico 2012. Alissa joined secretly in 2013 and it was revealed with the new album in 2014.
