Archie Sonic Character Files: Bunnie Rabbot 

Can we just appreciate how great Bunnie's hat and jacket combo is? And the braid? Chef's kiss.

Bunnie with a cowboy hat is based af. Also sidenote; Bunnie Rabbot was my first ever fictional crush.

I'm pretty sad we never got the end of Bunny's dead husband revenge plot. Her and Antoine were so cute, and she was so cool, so i was ready to see her raise hell for that Frenchie of hers

I really want Sega to lift their restrictions of their characters such as them refusing to let Sonic have family or a love interests because I honestly liked giving him an Uncle Chuck as well as Sonic's romance with Sally I always just thought it was super cute seeing as they were best friends as children as it feels natural for why he ended up falling in love with her as a teenager

I always felt bad for Bunnie in both the Satam cartoon and the original continuity of the Archie comics seeing as she wanted to be returned to Normal and this never happened and in the Archie comics it did happen but she was told they had to be returned to normal or else she would die which was just the writers way of keeping her limbs Robotisized

This is why I love Bunnie Rabbot, she is cute and adorable and she’s one of my favorite Sonic characters.

I like Bunnie Rabbot. She had a great character development. She is amazing. She and Antonie was interesting. It took time and the two finally got married. Wish they had put her in more sonic video games. She appeared once in Sonic Spinball.

deroboticizing her was the dumbest thing Flynn could have done. We call this bone-headed act "Flynnderization", where he can't leave well enough alone and has to ruin any poignancy a character had in their existence before he came along, because nobody can write better backstories than the Flynn Flam Man, himself, apparently, and he has to butcher 20 years of lore to get his way, change things that didn't need changing, yadda yadda, lather, rinse, repeat. Flynn and Pellerito were the worst things to happen to that series, even barring the Penders debacle.

In the Satam Cartoon it was heavily implied that Bunnie used to have a crush on Sonic because he was the one that saved her from being Robotisized as she constantly referred to him as Sugarhog but of course we know in the Comics this didn't last as she eventually fell in love with Antione which I thought was funny since originally there was a bit of a love triangle as Sonic an Antoine would constantly be at each other's throats for the affections of Sally in which we all know she ended up choosing Sonic in the end

Terrific Job on the Video explaining on Bunnie’s Character Journey through out the Comics. Although Having Bunnie as Cream’s cousin for just a brief moment, it’s a shame that those two never interact with each other in the comics what so ever, they never even speak or wave at each other even though they’re in the same room. Cause I would like to see how those two would work as a dynamic duo. But despite that I really enjoy this video talking about one of my Favourite Sonic Characters.

This was an awesome video, I am glad to have learned a lot about Bunnie Rabbot! I can't wait to see which file we will get next time.

I actually prefer Bunnie's design from the original Archie continuity as similar to Sally I like how she has those little cheek tufts and I also like the later edition of a jacket and hat over her leotard

I miss these comics. As a kid the off model art of some of the characters in the comics didn’t bother me. I always liked Bunnie and thought her robotic parts were cool

A character I think you'll definitely have to do a profile on is Sally's father seeing as he's gone through alot as he's been de throned by Robotnik finding out that his wife and son are alive stepping down as King becoming paralysed from the waist down and of course the pre Genesis wave changing the timeline and thus giving him a new name changing his name from Maximilian to Nigel especially since I always thought it was interesting how in the satam cartoon he was Voiced by Tim Curry and was voiced with a British accent

12:01 Bookmark for those who just want to skip to what is considered "canon" now... Even if everything else technically still happened. I might not be a follower of Archie Sonic, but I've done my research. And if I've done it right, then that Super Genesis Wave throws a lot of things out of whack; especially since it pretty much erases everything that came before. What you imagine was being used as a soft-reboot ended up causing confusion. Heck, people think that Sonally is still on in this series even though the dynamic was completely altered post-SGW to be non-romantic. In fact, I believe the writers intended Sally to have a lesbian relationship with Nicole during this arc. (Wait, can it be considered lesbian if Nicole is a digital character?) It's almost as if SEGA stepped in and forced the changes to happen under their strict guidance... Which if that's true, then some things never change.

5:54 oh yeah this is where it was revealed that Antoine only had a crush on Sally in the Satam Cartoon because the royals agreed when Sally was old enough she would be forced to marry Antoine as part of an arranged-marriage as well as the fact that King Max Acorn didn't approve of Sonic as he hated the idea of his daughter going out with a commoner because I do know that when Max found out in one of the comics that Sally was dating Sonic he was Furious but ended up changing his mind when Sonic end up saving him from death

Shouldn't you have mentioned that time she recollected her past memories from pre-genesis wave, in Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 255? Seems like a rather important plot point.

When you get around to doing Antoine I think it would be fair to mention that although he didn't appear in Sonic Underground as most of the other Satam characters didn't appear in that show apart from Uncle Chuck there was a character who had a very similar personality and design to Antoine and that was the character Lord Bartleby Montclair as they were both rude vain and passive-aggressive and similar to how Antoine could be quite selfish in the Satam cartoon Bartleby was probably more selfish to the extreme I mean he was just this pompous twat in that show

well I know why it changed but still it felt like throwing out the baby with the bathwater and discarding her is an unforgivable mistake on segas part and dic paid by going broke and I hope archie follows when the riverdale show is canned and sega gets bought out by someone more competent and someone there choke on it

I kind of like both the original and the reboot of Sonic Archie Comics. But it's kind of sad they canceled it. I do hope that someday will bring back the Archie Sonic comics both the original and the reboot and They can still continue on the IDW Sonic comics just in another's comic book Studio of course. Don't you agree.

Man I forgot how bizarre the art style in some of these comics looked. More specifically the Archie comics.

I always loved Sally and Bunnie and the comics helped me warm up to Antoine more. I agree, it took a long time for them to give Bunnie her due but in general I hated how the Archie writers had trouble writing healthy relationships or even just normal characters half the time lol. Frustrating that they forced Bunnie to feel like she needed her robotics, though not knowing where that story was going yeah it could've ended up amazing even if I suspect it wouldn't have been and now we'll never know. And using the evil dimension versions to break characters up off-screen is just disgracefully bad. While I understand Sega's decrees about Sonic's relationships, I find them annoying. I mean I don't really care who he dates or if he dates no one... Sonic could turn out to be AroAce and I'd be like heck yeah some representation but I just hate that it keeps Sonic from having family and it destroyed such a sweet relationship with Sally, then forced Archie to dunk every other relationship they tried to give to Sonic after that. If they'd just handled it better on all ends I wouldn't have cared. I was kinda iffy at first on Bunnie and Antoine (sort of a "hooking up the spares" kinda idea) but I ended up really liking it a lot since it gave both characters some room to grow; something we really needed after Sally and Sonic were forced apart. I also really liked Antoine's redesign by the end though I wish he still had some clothes lol. Haha sorry I'm all over the place on this one. I agree, cowboy hat and jacket with the braid was super cute for Bunnie and whoever drew the issue where she was accidentally deroboticized by Naugus was CHEF'S KISS good. Her design and expression is perfect. I really hope you do a video on Antoine at some point! I think he might've changed the most and for the better overall. And I'd love a Sally video at some point but that's going to take quite a while. ACTUALLY I kind of really love-hate Geoffrey St. John; he'd be an amazing video topic because they were... all over the place with him if I remember correctly. Archie couldn't make up their mind how they wanted to handle that guy and it was... oooof. Doesn't help he showed up right around when Ken Penders tried to kill off Sally for the first time and I'll still never forgive him for that lol... I know he's done a lot, some of it ignoble, but I was just a tween excited when I first realized I could have more stories with my beloved Princess and I noticed she had a mini-series dedicated to her and then I got blindsided by them bumping her off just a couple of issues after I realized Archie's Sonic comics even existed back in the day lololol... I only read Andrews reviews and scans of pages ever since then I think hahaha. I might've gotten a few here and there I don't recall but it horribly backfired on them overall because I definitely didn't get too invested which was probably for the best. I liked what they were aiming for here and there but way too many missteps. I really wish IDW's level of dedication had been present and less executive meddling but meh... The past can't be changed! 😅
