Maria Shriver sits down with author and advocate Elizabeth Smart for an Architects of Change LIVE conversation about her survival, new book "Where There's Hope" and what moving forward really means.
Like the country, I was gripped by the news of the kidnapping and ultimate finding of Elizabeth Smart. I have not read much about her since. It's wonderful to see and hear her thriving and helping others. Her life was taken from her at such a young age, but seeing her reclaim her life and take back her power is fantastic! Thank you Maria for interviewing her, and for bringing us these stories of hope, redemption and healing!
You prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
What a wonderful conversation you had with Elizabeth. I've heard so many stories about Elizabeth and wondered what her message could be after all these years. And I found her to be so wonderful to listen to. To see her become the woman that she has and how she was able to channel her experiences into who she is today. I am so impressed with who she has become! And Maria! Wow what great questions you asked! I'm always in awe of your easy conversations and how you're able to ask questions that really look at the deeper and fuller picture. Excellent interview!
When Elizabeth was kidnapped, I lived less than a mile away and was visiting the house of a friend just 4 blocks from her home that morning. I will never forget the helicopters in the air above, searching the canyon behind the houses, and hearing on the news that a young girl had been kidnapped from a house just above where I was. It seems like a lifetime ago, and I am so happy for the full life she has lived since that day.
