Painting a city scape or architecture can be a bit overwhelming and down right scary. When drawing or painting a scene try to simplify it as much as possible. In this video demonstration I try to focus on some of the main elements of the scene such as the dome of St. Peter's and the bridge including the arches. By limiting my palette to three colors not only do I simplify my color choices but I also create a harmony as well. I also move from my very large Princeton Neptune Quill brush to a very small Princeton script. My small brush is perfect for indicating details.
