+WuFFY Oupol i still don't see why battery jesus was highly praised, after all it was because of him and the anarchy that helix stood for that caused bloody sunday, if you used democracy at that time there would have been no sacrifices
A Microwave anarchy wasnt our choice, nobody in democracy wanted to choose anarchy. it was the old ways, and some people sometimes need to regress back to the older times. when things were simpler but more chaotic. to reaffirm the truth of helix's rule. ...or some shit. PRAISE HELIX [blind follower]
This wasn't removed because of the real life tragedy. It was because he didn't give credit to someone who's fanart he used, so she issued a copyright claim and had the video taken down.
+Zeke King Overreacted...she did a piece of fanart...big thing, so she takes down the video instead of talking with the guy..."I am so angry because no one will now know I made this thing that most people wont even care for more than 2secs" ...how sad isnt it?
Jacob Jordan The bloody banner with people, not exactly sure what bloody sunday tho as in history there has been many...but other people here claim that the men that made the video got his vid down due to not giving credits to the author of a drawing he used...so yeah...btw you are a cute little boy :3 (not pedofile but I feel like a grandma wanting to pinch cheeks with kids and other big cheek teens XD...sorry XD)
Zeke King He attempted to give her credit after admitting to the mistake, but she refused to negotiate. I understand wanting credit, but she was very petty about the whole matter
maybe she had a ruling over the uses of her art stating that you must give her credit or something, though if what you said is true. She did indeed go a bit too far,but it's her art,so her permission and right
Ravenlover Gaming Seriously though an in depth documentary on the emotional rollercoaster of twitch plays pokemon, or a film based off of it would be hilarious
Just to let everyone know there is no tragedy that made JWittz take the video down. The fact that an event called Bloody Sunday happened a long time ago in real life isn't enough to get JWittz to take down the video. What really happened was one of the artists whose work was on display during the video got upset that he/she wasn't personally credited and threatened to take down the video.
that's unfair I watch jack Whitehall funny guy he made noises for the fucking raindeer from frozen and hes uncredited so the artist is a bitch because he didn't sew frozen
Twitch plays pokemon was so hilarius and all those crazy artists making memes, photos, comics, drawing, songs, all kind of stuff minutes after events happened, it was amazing, for some days it looked like world peace would be achievable.
Yeah… Betting on _Colosseum_ matches gets old fast, especially when your team loses despite being capable of winning because Democracy doesn’t keep people from being shitty at _Pokémon_ strategy.
Ron Wolf I believe democracy is terrible and you should not be able to vote on it unless in certain occasions because it doesn't stop people being thick.
Mostly nothing happened. They needed more than 26 days (nearly 400h) to beat the game. No matter what needed to be done, you were always stuck at it for hours/days.
Maybe you, Devin...I watched that shit like it was the fucking Truman Show. If I wasn't working or sleeping, I was at home with the stream running on my computer. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the sort of thing that was fully investing for hours on end; it wasn't always the only thing I was doing. I spent a fair bit of time on the subreddit on the other side of the screen, and it had me in a Pokemon mood so I did my own run of Pokemon Silver in the meantime...but the stream was always running. It was actually so consuming of my life for those weeks that when it ended, I didn't even know what to do with myself. It really was like the cops at the end of The Truman Show after it goes off the air. That feeling like "......now what?" I could barely remember a time before TPP. It was incredible to have been a part of, to see it evolve from its humble beginnings into the once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon it turned out to be. Bird Jesus, Lord Helix...Blood Sunday.....oh god, Bloody Sunday......how innocent we were.....
@@turntsnaco824 so true! I remember being so obsessed that my best friend and I watched it in class dying of laughter because the chat was so chaotic. I was there for Bloody Sunday too hahah. Never forget
Rattata using Dig in the Silph Tower reminds me of The Odyssey when Odysseus's crew foolishly opens up the bag of wind gifted to him by Aeolus, thus blowing the ship wildly off course miles and miles right back where they started from just as they were within mere sight of their home. Two counts of legendary epic fail.
TPP is a literal definition of the phrase "too many cooks spoil the broth". I admit it looks entertaining but I'm pretty sure I couldn't handle the extreme lack of progress at some parts. It'd drive me mad.
I love how in the caught of zapdos, the chat was so freacking crazy fast... but right where it was caught... the chat stopped. Basically no one believe we just used the masterball on zapdos for a moment
I remember when I went to sleep after having a good day at twitch plays pokemon... then wake up and realize EUROPEANS had released a bunch of pokemon. Sad days...
Tbh, you all look like a bunch of neandertals trying to defend your country's (pride ???). Like y'all where just born is some very, very general area and that somehow enables you to get triggered whenever you hear someone utter something remotely offensive about that said area. I bet you guys are the type of people to make fun of Tumblr users for getting triggered too easily too, I bet
iwolfman37 the fact that your grouping us all together when only one person on here is an ignorant waste of air running his mouth is offensive. I have zero pride for this joke of a country so shut the fuck up. I just don't like ignorant people and just by posting that comment you proved yourself to be just as ignorant as Ram-Rod. It might be a different kind of ignorant but making wild assumptions about an entire group of people makes you just as bad as him if not worse. It's pretty funny that trying to judge this entire comment thread made you the biggest joke on it
1:04 Twitch plays Pokemon brought hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world together. That makes it the BEST game of Pokemon ever played.
I'm sorry but 12 Pokeon released for Zapdos, was worth it because he was very useful and he is one of the main reason we completed the game he almost swept Blue's team Meanwhile, with Flareon not only was he useless to us, and was made by accident, but he is the very reason why our Starter was released. The Starter (Charmeleon lvl 34 who was about to become a Charizard) alone is way more valuable than all the other pokemon that were released on bloody sunday, simply because you only get one starter in the game, it's unique and earned us many victory, the 12 other pokemon weren't that rare they could be re-caught very easily, and would have most likely been stuck in the PC forever, until we completed the game so That's why Zapdos is Labbeled as battery Jesus, and Flareon as the False Prophet
Bull fucking shit we didn't NEED A Legendary bird to win. We could have just grinded and level up BirdJesus to level 100 taught him another move and WON. But people got tired and lazy and they didn't believe in our Messiah and yet ATV did. miracle. We were Punished for our lack of faith if we must use an Legendary an arch angel if you will instead of a Prophet and our God than we must suffer a Loss of 12 twelve apostles died that day because of Greed Laziness and Sloth and Hatred of bird Jesus and Pride
I would be pissed if we captured Zapdos with democracy and later bloody sunday happened, but we use anarchy and miraculously did it. It's the will of Anarchy.
117blingbling it was a mistake that was made and people did what they did to it Pokémon. It's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, Flowers are blooming. On days like these, People who do horrible things like that to Pokémon. SHOULD BE BURNING IN HELL!!!!!! The people that hatted on that Flarion (if spelled incorrectly I didn't mean to) in Twitch Plays Pokémon feel like there going to have a BAD TIME.
I wish twitch plays pokemon was as popular as it used to be, more people know about the lore than actually care about what currently happens on the channel anymore
And then Crystal became the best fucking lore. There are better characters and moments in other generations, but Major Lazor's journey to defeat the Fossil Gods was truly legendary.
So just for clarification, because it has been sometime: (1) I cannot edit an already uploaded video. (2) There is no monetization on this or any of my videos, they're for archival purposes only. This is not my work, I would be scum if I tried to make a profit on this, this is Jwittz's work and as states it in the title, playlist, and if you watch the video, its obvious, its his. (3) The tacked on explanation at the start of the video was put there because thats what was going around when I decided to re-upload this. If you wonder why I don't remove it see (1).
FYI, you can add annotations to your uploaded videos. These can be any size, so you could add one that eclipses the little explanation at the start and provides a new one.
Ah damn, I'm out of the loop. To be fair annotations were really annoying 99% of the time so I see why they did it but occasionally they were useful (like they would have been here).
Aba Aba Actually, viewers dropped after Gen 2. Since Gen 2 is the only official sequel to Gen 1, they had to know what would become of Red, but I get your idea, since viewers did drop for a while since it was the day right after Gen 1's finale.
Aba Aba It's because everyone tried to force everything to be a thing. In Gen 1 people let the flow and lore come naturally. In later Gens everyone was trying to force a story and it just wasn't as fun as a result.
exspecially the damn flareon revisionist that kept trying to rewrite earlier lore to make flareon a good guy. Mostly damn eevee fangirls who couldn't stand their favorite adorable pokemon being hated
I still really want to know how long it would have taken Twitch to get through Team Rocket Headquarters in Anarchy. They really could have just left it the way it was, and as people started losing interest in TPP, the number of people controlling the game would dwindle and eventually there'd have been enough control to get through it.
+Lee Hearts One year after the beginning of TPP, they was another TPPokémon Red, TPP anniversary version. We got through Team Rocket Headquarters in like 1 hour !
+Comamanel TPP lost a ton of participants as time went on, though. I highly doubt the anniversary run had as many people as the original run did, so of course it would be easier.
@AlxOpNerfPlz in anarchy (the base mode) all typed commands are taken in account, with a little delay. which makes everything really hard to handle, but unpredictable and fun. In democracy, all commands for a limited amount of time (10seconds ish) are counted and "stacked" . After the time is up, the most typed command only will be executed. This mode makes everything easier to handle, but very slow and boring (to watch and play, because there are virtually no mistakes made)
+Penguincamp Join right now. There are pretty great moments. We accidentally bought 35 great balls trying to heal our pokemon. We also caught Articuno (In democracy) and named it In Anarchy
its a real shame this wasnt followed on better. the issue was that we werent able to cool down. we should have had a break after red, like a month or something, THEN gold.then a cool down and make it a big event each new game. sure, it would have lost a little momentum, but it would have lasted as more than memories of gen 1
Bloody Sunday was in Ireland circa 1920. Ireland was trying to gain Independence from England so an Irish Republican Army officer killed British intelligence agents across the country with help from soldiers of the IRA. It got out of hand when British police rode up to the Croke Park (Irish sports stadium) ready to raid it to find any IRA soldiers. Outside, shots were fired and the British Police eventually made their way into the stadium still shooting indiscriminately. Between the gunfire, and crowd stampeding: 14 were killed including a 10 & 11 year old, 60+ wounded. Everyone injured or killed was a civilian.
If jokeds arent accepted about an 90 year old event, whats with all those World War 2 jokes ? Or Vietnam Jokes ? I really expected something bad when i heard this and im actually pretty dissapointed right now
Jimmy The Snail If I did my math correctly, which..who knows if I did, you have an 8/45 (17.77777%) chance of getting the switch puzzle correct each time. So, close to 1/6 chance.
Just by this video, we learned that jwittz supports the Helix. Please don't kill me for this. I'm just an innocent spectator who doesn't want to caught in between the Helix vs Dome religions.
+Lucero Martinez In that case, I'd suggest looking up the Preservists, the followers of Old Amber. I myself have recently converted from Helicism to Preservism (albeit with definite Helical leanings) having discovered more about the religion. Essentially it is a religion that seeks balance between the Helix and the Dome, using anarchy or democracy (whichever is most suitable for the situation), and does not belittle followers of either Dome or Helix. Alternatively, there are other smaller religions (such as the SS ticket) but I know little about those. There is more to Twitch than Helix and Dome, enlightened one :)
At the end of the day, I still have no idea who this artist is, and the reupload has 604k views. Doesn't look like that petty claim and unwillingness to negotiate did much for them at all.
zeno sama She doesn't have to. It's fanart. JWittz on the other hand took some one else's hard work and left them no credit for their troubles. I don't talk well to people using others.
It's one thing to use someone's work without giving credit. It's one thing to act petty about your work being used without permission. However, it's a totally different story when a fandom threatens one side. I remember seeing some fans of Jwittz threaten the owner of the fanart with death because she issued the copyright claim. Sure she was a bitch about it, but to issue death threats against her? Come on now. I'm glad to see this video got re-uploaded. Hopefully everyone involved learned valuable lessons in this. I haven't really followed both sides, so I might sound ignorant when I say this next sentence. I hope Jwittz learned to give credit where it's due; I hope the owner of the fanart learned to act respectfully when her work gets used without permission; and I sure hope that the fans learned that it's never cool when you threaten someone's life over a video. Just be glad that someone took the time to re-upload this awesome video.
If you actually look at this supposed art, it's literally ripped from Pokemon's original artwork and giving minor edits. It's not their art, they're just claiming it is.
I screenshotted the very moment when they were able to get out of the rocket hideout's arrow puzzle I was so proud and actually started cheering...ah good times
2:32 wow I was actually watching the Mighty Ducks review from Hack the Movies before this video and now I see Farfetched with that Hockey mask! How ironic
It says at the very beginning of the video. There was a joke made later in the video about a real life tragedy. Once JWittz found out about it being a real life tragedy, he took down the video. I'm guessing it was the term "Bloody Sunday"
He didn't get striked, he got threatened with one, for using a single piece of fanart for 2 seconds without the artist's permission, who demanded compensation for its usage.
I think we should erect monuments and scriptures depicting the religion of Twitch Plays Pokémon, just to mess with whoever is excavating them in 10.000 years trying to make sense of it. XD Maybe that's how all religions started...
***** Countless tragedies happen in the Middle East weekly at this point, they ALWAYS live in fear. In the US, they had one big attack but after that nothing happened and now nobody is afraid there. In the meantime, France is getting fucked up by IS and the only thing America does about it is drop bombs on innocent people in the Middle East, which is exactly why IS is even targeting Europe in the first place. And need I remind you of how many millions of jews were killed over a period of 5 years in WWII?
Brazil hosted the olympics and won't even be on the top 10 , that's a tragedy right there . also , their cops are less protective than their terrorists , who protect you in exchange of money , Brazil's a fucked up place too
I consider Twitch Plays Pokemon one of the most effective tools for not only bringing out the worst in humanity, but glorifying it. You say you found Democracy Mode boring? Was the eight hours of circling Ledge Hell really that exciting, then? For god sakes, mowing the lawn by plucking each blade of grass one at a time would have been more interesting, and for that matter, more productive. You can tell how thoroughly this series corroded the minds of fans by how often you hear them scream "praise helix" as though it were the most profound and witty thing ever said. Either that, or the majority of people drawn to this garbage were already the type to thrive on stupid. I don't deny that the backstories and fanart were inventive and somewhat redeem this abomination, but the game itself was quintessentially modern art. It is not admired for its beauty; it is gawked at for being a hideous-but-familiar freak show.
+Alex Tygesen Oh, what a clever rebuttal- turning my "worst of humanity" assessment on me. But for it to be effective, you're gonna need better reasoning. Please, o wise and knowing one, tell me how trolling the ledge hell for eight hours is a "social interaction" success. Tell me how screaming "praise helix" is funny after the tenth time, let alone the thousandth. I'll call garbage what it is, because contrary to your assumption, I DO get it. Telling me to "grow up" isn't an argument. In fact, the only part of your comment that made sense was when you likened TPP fans to six-year-olds in your analogy.
Valtor111 If you want me to take you serious then you'll need to stop with that "But your attack was ineffective against me and everyone knows that" attitude.
+Alex Tygesen Look, we're both exhibiting superior attitudes here- the difference is, I've made points that you have yet to rebut, as you've chosen instead to make personal attacks on me. I don't exactly crave the "serious" attention of a TPP fan; I had only intended to say my piece and move on. I'll take you seriously if you do have proper answers for my challenges, but otherwise, feel free to have the last word.
I’m very sorry to revive this 2-year-old argument, however I must say, @Valtor111, you are acting much more condescending than @Alex Tygesen here. Your choices of words and phrasing make it sound like you believe you’re smarter than all of the TPP followers. Now, with how much time has passed, you may have changed your ways, however I must inform you that your behavior is inappropriate and rude. Your snarky retorts and attitude exhibit an unpleasant aura around you. You seem to believe this series has numbed people down, but I simply have to ask what you have been doing all of this time. Watching TV, staying at home? Playing a video game yourself? Because, believe it or not, those are practically on the same level as TPP. In actuality, TPP has built a community around itself, allowing for social interaction and much discourse (to this very day!). It does not make people dumber, as you appear to believe. I can’t help but also notice the fact that you think TPP fans constantly scream “praise helix” and such. No, there are many people who keep to themselves about their love for the series, and some who are even ashamed of it because of their fear of being called ‘simple’ and ‘unproductive’. I am a fan, myself, but I rarely even speak about this kind of thing to anyone. Albeit, I only joined the fandom after the streams had ended, but I enjoyed watching more memorable moments and highlights of the streams. I have rebutted your arguments, at your request. I hope you shall one day read this, as it could improve you, and possibly me. I wanted to avoid attacking you as a person, and I’m sorry if I came off as rude, but your behavior had ticked me off quite a bit. If you’d like to add more to your arguments, then you can! I’d love to hear more of what you think about this supposed “hideous-but-familiar freak show.”
