I subscribed for piano stuff but I love these videos. I clicked on the recommendation straight away and didn't realise at first it was you! Good stuff, greetings from Tasmania.
The Acrimoto FUV seems like an economic and liberating way to go. Your reviews always serve to practically inform with what actually needs to be known, and are quite helpful. Hearing the nonchalant commentary itself with the passing personal thoughts, heads up and notes of experience is an enjoyable bit of pass time. Thank you for this video, and for posting regularly.
I wish I could buy FUV in the Europe. This could be another great American success story if the company gets more support from legislators and investors.
How well does it handle hitting coyotes? I’ve hit 1 and had a near miss with a 2nd in the last 10 months. It seems like an FUV would handle that poorly, and I don’t want to find a new house where I’m less likely to hit a coyote on my way to work just to buy 1. OFC both might have missed me if I were driving an FUV but there will be a 3rd sooner or later that I might hit dead center
So how is this registered? 3 wheel motorcycle? If you did your test with it were im from you would have every restriction possible on your license. Would be kinda funny to have that many restriction on your license though. Does it have a seat belt? What about helmets reliant robins dont need one so does this require it? So many questions. definitely cool that your crazy enough to own and daily it.
Different states in the U.S. have different laws. While it is registered and insured like a motorcycle (much cheaper than a car), the fact that it has a roll cage and seatbelts for both occupants means it does not require a helmet in most states - if they have amended their laws for such a vehicle.
Some states also do not require a motorcycle license. In Nevada, either a car or motorcycle license will do. As I have never owned or driven a car, I have only motorcycle endorsement.
Registered as a motorcycle in Oregon but does not require a motorcycle endorsement or helmet. Duel crossover seatbelts. I don’t understand what you think is crazy about owning/driving an FUV. what is crazy is driving a seven passenger, 4000 lb. SUV to the store for a jug of milk.
@mweinrott I think it's crazy because I live where half the year it's below freezing and I enjoy luxuries such as a windows and heat and a raido. I agree suv are dumb and should have more regulation so the bumpers line up with cars and so you don't run over children. I drive a suzuki Jimny as I need 4wd for my work and enjoy small cars. I've been working on my motorcycle license and found it interesting.
