There are no pros. Insurance won’t be cheap because if someone hits you, you’re probably dead. This is a niche golf cart. It’s going nowhere but down to bankruptcy.

@@Fluterra Pros are 230 MPGe about 10 times more energy efficient than the average passenger car and being light in weight about twice that of a standard electric car. It's electric and has a decent though not long range if fully charged around 100 miles. Decent for commuting though not for distant commutes It can carry a passenger or groceries in the rear seat area and other items can be attached like canoes,bicycles etc. It can travel up to 80 MPH so it's highway speed capable It's fairly inexpensive starting price $11,900 USD whereas the cheapest new car cost more than twice that. Being electric no harmful pollution or anthropogenic CO2 emissions from the vehicle though but much less indirect pollution depending upon the power plant source (mine is hydroelectric). The amount of indirect pollution is dependent upon the power plant source and also the MPGe rating (if it's high it's proportionally smaller) The replacement battery cost is just $2,500 USD but the battery that comes with the vehicle is warranted up to 8 years. Like the earlier poster stated the maintenance is much easier since there are less moving parts unlike a complicated ICE vehicle. Drawbacks are that it is not a full sized pickup truck so don't expect that Doesn't have a long range and charging is slow so it would have drawbacks for coast to coast US travel. It's more suited for shorter local trips. It can't carry 4 or 5 passengers or a family. In some areas the rider will have to wear a motorcycle helmet. You probably need a motorcycle endorsement added to a drivers license and likely need to take a course in obtaining an endorsement.

@m9078jk3 you can copy and paste all their "claims" and list all these pros but I will list 1 con that wipes your pros away. You cant buy this vehicle its been almost 11 years, they don't have enough interest to make these(only about 3.5 -4k) have put down payments to get these and more and more are tired of waiting and are asking how they can get their money back. Elio had 65k down payments and they are dead in the water. You cant start a business if there isn't enough interest and at only 300+ people a year after 11 years this goes nowhere

If you pay 10 cents per KWh it will cost you $2 to fill up on the 20kwh 130-mile range version or about $1.40 to go from 10% to 80% charge. That would take 2.5 hours at 240 volts. Twenty KWH is about 2/3 of a gallon of gasoline. If you can find a gas bike that can do 130 mpg it would work out a little cheaper $1.64 @ 2.50 per gallon. The most efficient motorbike I had was a Moped. It got about 48 mpg.

I think it's a very useful vehicle, just want to see more real world use/reviews before I pony up my hard earned cash. Thanks.

Well, during testing at a race track, one went off the road during a corner and rolled a few times. Driver came out just fine.
