I live in Texas I'm a fan of trucks but don't use it that often, But honestly I would buy this as a new daily driver. Just put the shotgun in the back seat.

In Calif. it would be considered a motorcycle so a user would require a M1 class drivers license. Be a bit cautious with Sondors as a prototype version can be much different from the production version as electric bicycle he produced, the production version used cheaper material and equipment than in the prototype. But I do like the way it looks.

Easy, its a single sided swing arm, so it comes off just like a cars wheel.

On a 3-wheeler you not only get oil slicks on the roadway, but you give all the potholes.....and speed bumps... Additionally for those in the SNOW STATES the front two wheels are going to track in ruts made by other vehicles, but that rear wheel is going to be tracking on virgin snow...

Most likely the rear swing arm will be shaped like a J... Or a S with gentle bends.. You remove access panel and remove wheel as normal. Of course the SONDORS IIRC is going to be made in CHINA... so who knows !

Elio addressed the 3 wheeled issue and nobody had a problem with it. Maybe he should have said "pothole" instead of oil? What he's saying is with a wheel in the middle there is no way to straddle an obstacle in the road.

Motorcycle riders know about the issue of oil (dripping from cars) in the center of the travel lane. When it rains for the first time in a while, it's very slick.

Exactly. 3 wheelers have lots of precedent. Can Am Spyder and Campana T-Rex come to mind. Then there's, you know, the 2 wheelers that usually ride in the center of the lane where the "oil" would be... This dude needs to put more consideration into what he's going to say or be replaced with someone with a bit more practical knowledge.

yes. you can see it. mostly on the highways. there are two lines where the tires go and a darker area in the middle. but its not just oil, its also dirt.

Yeah was thinking the same thing. If it isnt a problem for motorcyclists it probably wont be for this vehicle, especially as it only has one of its tires in the middle, compared to a motorcycle with all of them there.

it becomes a problem during rain after a dry spell. all that oil build up gets washed up and becomes very slick. 4 wheel cars have this issue as well, just not as severe.

The More We Explore I was always waiting for Elio to transition to electric, but no. Probably the tech costs too much. Elio was all about "off the shelf" parts.

There is no way this car sells for $10k. NO WAY. Now I just sold a 200k mile Prius for $1,000, gets 45mpg. That is a low-cost eco-friendly car.

Around 2016-09 a group of investors WAS interested, but Paul Elio BLEW THEM OFF as the investors wanted (Gasp!) oversight in how Elio Motors would be run.... Imagine that someone is fronting 300 + Million and they want some oversight on things as Paul Elio had NEVER RUN a business. (READ BELOW !) Oh, Google "Professor Elio Seat"... IIRC if you read thru it you will discover several years prior to the Elio 3-Wheeler idea Paul Elio took part in designing a SEAT, Paul did the crowd funding thing, and/or took money to the tune of IIRC 4.3 MILLION dollars... Had a manufacturer who was willing invest money to tool up to to manufacture the seat... and the DEAL FELL THRU as the manufacturer wanted some control /oversight of the project to ensure the design made it into PRODUCTION and PAUL REFUSED to relinquish any control, or accept any oversight. MFG's position being hey dude.. we're going to have to invest 10 million (EST) into tooling and training... So ya we want some say so on what needs to be done.. vs you right as we are ready to go into production coming up with some stupid design ideas (Like the ELIO ELGIN DIGITAL DASH).... and you make design changes that would cause us to lose our ass on this deal. BOTTOM LINE: On the "SEAT" deal Paul Elio found out he could "enrich himself financially" (4.3 Million) and NOT produce a product.... NO PRODUCT was sold. On the ELIO 3-Wheeler, It will most likely NEVER be produced as PAUL ELIO was WILLING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, but he was UNWILLING TO GIVE UP ANY CONTROL.. He is unwilling to concede any input or oversight from those investing money to get the ELIO into production. Hey Paul, here's $300 MILLION DOLLARS... You've NEVER run a business and we investors have... So we to insure you don't do stupid stuff with our money we want some oversight on things. Something like that.

Elio isn't considered anything in any state because there have never been any offered for sale.

Except this is much more expensive. To be fair, Elio is looking more and more like a scam with how long it is taking them to start manufacturing.

Richard Landgren Yea we've all seen this before except the creators fail to realize just how difficult it is and how much money it takes to bring a vehicle to market. Probably will end up like elio lacking the funds to do so

Elio wont have enough money to bring it to market. This is not opinion, research their numbers and do the math. I'm not a hater either, i'd actually like one but it wont happen.
