Yes! It is what it is for sure. Not the most knowledgeable when it comes to these subjects so appreciate the feedback from one along the same latitude and who has really put on the kms. Thanks Cubbee!
Man that looked cold!!! How were your hands? Funny you did all that work with no consumption of booze, or swearing like a sailor. Very good. This video can be rated as child safe with no nudity or foul language!!! You know when I work on my quads and bikes my dogs do the same thing. Always bringing me balls a toys to get me to play with them. Dogs are so awesome. My wife on the other hand wont be caught dead hanging with me while I work. Maybe that is a good thing. Thanx for the vid.
Shouldn't have to drop the skid to get the shaft out. Just loosen the track all the way then move the slack to the front. Its really hard if you have the no slip racing cogs but most people don't have those. It can be a nightmare to get a skid bolted back in if your doing it by yourself. Also have the whole sled off the ground on a table really helps a lot IF you can do that.
Nice vid ! Your dogs are crazy. Wanna play all day:D Well now i know how to tear down a zl 440, but assembly will bee more challenging i guess. I have my own things to maintain, and know it sucks when a lil screw gone missin. but you heva all so far, good for you.
your lucky that those sliders did not come off well riding that happened to me on my 2010 polaris dragon rmk 800 they did not put a wheel kit on it so they came off well ridding in 2 weeks that sucked. any ways I sold my 2011 and came home with a 2013 ski doo summit 800 with 154 track it is a really nice sled and has great power. can`t wait tell the next video are you going on the grizzly.
Excellent video! You really do good repair work! I was wondering what that is on the underside of the sled like right in front of the track tunnel, is that an oil cooler or something?? Both of your sleds are in really good shape, I like them both! Oliver and Jethro are a pair of characters, they were a great addition to the video!! I look forward to part 2. Thanks for Sharing!!
Interesting. Had a Yamaha mechanic warn me again even using semi-synthetic 0W40 Yamalube in the Grizz yet a lot of guys on GrizzlyCentral say they use it and only change oil once per year and yet the fully synthetic hasn't given you any problems. Maybe longer term issues? With clutch slippage or something?
the onley question i have is would it of been a little bit easyer to remove that plastic hood of a thing to let get you get a better veiw/workare of it or is that like its own project
hey cubbeezx, i have a Polaris trail boss. its a 325 and 2wd. if you have ever had a Polaris, what do you think of them? the only thing i dont like is that the parts are very expensive and get stuck due to how heavy they are, any way im lovein the vids man! keep up doin what Ur doin!
Edward Boster Thanks...pretty nippy in the outdoor shop but yes the sun although it doesn't have much heat in winter at least makes you feel warmer LOL Thanks for watching!
lol! Never did make a part two. The way I did it was to put the bearing on the clutch side first on the drive shaft. Then slide the other end of the shaft into the chaincase first then the clutch side. Then you put the bearing over the end of the shaft on the chain side (inside the chain case) and tighten both sides down. Hope that helps.
hey cubbeezx instead of tracks for the kodiak you should get some 30`` mud zillas hey just plow throw the snow with the kodiak maybe or maybe some outlaw 2 tires hey:) lol!
