Best trail sled cat makes for the aggressive rider. I have put over 11,000 trail miles on r-xc's. Bought the first consumer model available in 2015 and have owned a few others. They are fun and like a Timex watch... take a licking and keep on ticking. Looking forward to the new version in the catalyst chassis!

I was thinking the same thing. I was looking at Polaris but actic cat seems like they are making a turn around. And my wife's ski Doo hurts my legs with all the tight turns around here .

I love how everyone thought the RXC was a new model for 2023... They've been around since 2014 at least, but we're only a premix sled, basically an SX with different tuning, in 2015 they had reverse and oil injection and all the other trail friendly features. An absolute awesome sled and a beast for a 600. They are a completely different animal again with some clutch work

And that motor is bulletproof. All of cats 600s are bulletproof. My firecat has 10,000 on it. No rebuild.

I had a 2018 6000R-XC (the same sled as the 2023.) At the time it was only available thru the race program. Although a little outdated - even then - the sled took 7500 miles of hard abuse with zero issues!

The shocks are qs3-R kashima. The R is for rebound. They have about 20 clicks of rebound adjustment.

yup cat says the old spindle design works better with 129s, the new spindles work better with the 137s.

The RXC is the best Arctic Cat for 2023. This sled is made to be ridden hard. It is also very exclusive due to extremely low production numbers. They were sold out within 2 hours when the spring order period opened up back in April of 2022. I was fortunate to get an order placed that day. The only problem is it's 2/12/2023 and I STILL DON"T HAVE THE SLED and Arctic Cat is doing NOTHING for me. After a lifetime on Cats I am seriously disappointed about how they are handling this whole ordering process.

But not for the general public I guess is their point. I really wish they had not named the consumer version also the rxc in 20 and 21. The 137s that year were basically a rr with a 600 and the rxc seat. The race versions have always been the 129 and really if they were to list it as the "first time it's available to the public" they should slap the snopro label ilon it sinc le the 129 with this skid has only been a race program sled till now. Personally I think the 21 (and essentially the 22) were the prettiest of the rxc of all time. This one looks decent though as well.

@@billmustardproductions9443 you are misinformed. The 2020 was the only 137, and aside from the track length it had all the RXC goods they always had (pipe/silencer/slipper gear/race skid, etc…). They were not rr’s. Prior to that you could still order one outside the trace program as a consumer sled as well.

@Matt Cataldo interesting. I did not know you couid get the "snopro" outside of the race program in the teen years. That would have been awesome. As for the 137 though they for sure also had it in 2021. I almost ordered ine. So I guess the summary then is that the 137 was a 2 year only thing. So did the 137 skid for those years in that model also have all the weird geometry that the 129 had (like the more aggressive front, longer rod, mode adjustable block etc) or was that skid basically a rr skid?

@@billmustardproductions9443 2021 was the year they changed it back to a 129” after the race teams demanded the previous front end and shorter skid frame be put back on the rxc. I owned at 2020 and the skid was the same as all other rxc skids with the exception of an extended rail from behind the rear arm (no geometry changes otherwise). 2020 was never raced due to lack of production volume which disqualified it from competition (you need X amount of sleds produced in order to compete in the stock class, I think they only made like 50).

@Matt Cataldo interesting indeed. 21 had both thought, hey. They had the 129 all black xrc actual race one dubbed the snopro. They also had the retail 137. It was the same stripes and look as the 21 8000rr. It had the raised "newer spindle" as well whereas the super sexy 129 had the old lower spindle. Head over to bosscat legacy if you need a refresher on it. I've never seen either of the rr looking ones in the wild before just online. So one more question then I'm done: was your 2020 the one that still had the 2019 colors and the lower spindle but a 137 or did yours resemble the rr and have the 2020 colors with the white accents and higher spindle? I've never seen the race speced one in a 137. You might just have one super rare sled which would be very cool.

We rode this in March in West Yellowstone. Apparently getting a CATALYST late season so hopefully snow will cooperate so we can put some miles on it before the end of the season.

I can answer this. The Cat is faster in the tight woods. In fact, nothing else on the market can outrun a 6000R-XC in the twisties when in the hands of a experienced rider. It corners extremely hard with the proper midrange power that is perfectly manageable. However, the 650XCR is better in every single way imaginable. Suspension, ergos, balance, comfort, tech, upper end power, fit and finish, braking, etc…. All Polaris in a landslide. After a 300 mile day, I am ready for more with the Matryx. After riding my 6000R-XC for 300 miles, I was exhausted. But man, the Cat was ferocious in the woods. That’s where it truly shines.

I think you might be wrong about that skidoo being the first with the race sled inspired trail sled.. The Polaris pro x in 01 or 02 was the first…Maybe I’m wrong 🤷🏾‍♂️

We don't get a 850 or better turbo mountain sled for 2024, this 35-year cat rider is going to jump ship ridiculous that you can't keep up with the other two!!!
