@@ILikechipsandham97 this only really started happening frequently in like 2011, they just mainly wouldn’t play it without miles until around the time of this video, he was probably still getting used to the lead part at this point lol
I think this is my favorite live performance; I like the way lead guitar is tuned up or more amped, sounds freaken sweet. Also the way Alex puts some emphasis on some of the last words of lines, it sounds really nice.
I'm going back to 505 If it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive In my imagination, you're waitin' lyin' on your side With your hands between your thighs Stop and wait a sec When you look at me like that, my darlin', what did you expect? I'd probably still adore you with your hands around my neck Or I did last time I checked Not shy of a spark The knife twists at the thought that I should fall short of the mark Frightened by the bite, though it's no harsher than the bark The middle of adventure, such a perfect place to start I'm going back to 505 If it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive In my imagination, you're waitin' lyin' on your side With your hands between your thighs But I crumble completely when you cry It seems like once again you've had to greet me with goodbye I'm always just about to go and spoil a surprise Take my hands off of your eyes too soon I'm going back to 505 If it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive In my imagination, you're waitin' lyin' on your side With your hands between your thighs and a smile
actually alex fails the whole time ...just look at him he's drunk..forgets some of the lyrics from time to time ...sings out of tune in many cases...jamie ALWAYS sounds exactly like the studio version
@@MrBurns-um2id i listen it five times in a row just to make my point first of all the outro solo is performed by Jamie and thats the part it went wrong but we still love him, second of all he messed up two times the lyrics and it still made sense so i still dont get why you asume he was drunk
Look guys, I understand your point. You love the monkeys, I love the Monkeys, but it's not the first nor the only time Jamie fucks up the guitar. It always happens with him, even when it isn't a song he rarely plays. Furthermore, joining the dots, he always gets the easiest guitar lines, so...I don't know guys, I don't think he's thaaaat good just for being in one of the biggest bands in the world...
@@PockerGames The 505 lead line isnt that easy tho. Especially seeing as he doesn't play it often. Besides Jamie is more of a rythm player so his lead playing is bound to be quite shite. Doesn't automatically make him a bad guitarist though.
Man, it doesn't metter how hard is a song. You know what? I'm from Brazil and here are many musicians playing bossa nova, which envolves fingerstyle and other hard techniques. They play it live. In comparison to these styles, 505 is a piece of cake LOL. Actually, it's all about rehearsing. I'm sure the band had enough time to rehearse this song before the consert, and that's why I'm surprised about Jamie's low performance. But that's it LOL
