This is the best, dirtiest, grittiest 505 on RU-vid. The Humbug era gets a lot of shit but it produced a hell of a lot of awesome performances like this one.
i think alex sings it amazing now! especially the last word smile.. at the latest concerts he does it like that and i really get tears in my eyes when he does it that way...
nothing compared to their manchester apollo performance. but still... "but i crumble completely when you cry" remains the most orgasmic moment in the history of music..
Maybe I'm a silly boy but they're better than ever. They're more mature and seem to evoke more emotion in what they do. 'Humbug' as an album was close to perfect and the way they fixed their songs to go with this style was genius. Meanwhile, '505' can't be tweaked. It IS perfect. Superb performance.
I'm going back to 505 If it's a seven-hour flight or a forty-five-minute drive In my imagination, you're waiting lying on your side With your hands between your thighs [Verse 1] Stop and wait a sec When you look at me like that, my darling, what did you expect? I'd probably still adore you with your hands around my neck Or I did last time I checked [Verse 2] Not shy of a spark The knife twists at the thought that I should fall short of the mark Frightened by the bite, though it's no harsher than the bark The middle of adventure, such a perfect place to start [Chorus] I'm going back to 505 If it's a seven-hour flight or a forty-five-minute drive In my imagination, you're waiting lying on your side With your hands between your thighs [Instrumental Break] [Orgas.. Verse 3] But I crumble completely when you cry It seems like once again you've had to greet me with "Goodbye" I'm always just about to go and spoil a surprise Take my hands off of your eyes too soon [Chorus] I'm going back to 505 If it's a seven-hour flight or a forty-five minute drive In my imagination, you're waiting lying on your side With your hands between your thighs and a smile

@fluorescentt7 i felt it was more of a display of respect to the other band members. to let them finish off the set without there front man. to let them get the last cheer. alex, to me reminds me alot like robert plant from led zeppellin, he did the same thing alot of the time at the end of a show. he left slightley early to show apreciation(mind the spelling mistakes, i am hammered). to the other performers for there remarkable performance. anyway....awesome show.
this guy is pretty good. Not really mainstream, but he's a beast. In my opinion, there is no "best" drummer. only differently good ones. /watch?v=6f-pJWIFfNQ
