The very first show of the band. Live at The Grapes - Sheffield, England. June 13th, 2003. It's not complete, only two song were recorded that night. Alex Turner on vocals, though he's voice isn't like it would be some years later and he isn't using his real acent.

I lived over the road from The Grapes, used to hear the Arctic Monkeys playing there. It was annoyingly loud and kept my baby daughter awake. That baby girl is now 19 years old and is, yes you guessed it, she’s constantly playing the Arctic Monkeys.

i can imagine it must have been a quite annoying experience back then as a mom trying to put baby to sleep, but i think that's a very nice memory other than that! being 19 year old is such a good time to get into Monkeys, your daughter has really good taste of music!

Crazy that they played the instruments for like a year then and were able to pull off a decent show being on the stage for the first time. Lol.

Yeah, they got good really quickly, it's insane to think about. A year ago they couldn't play a single chord on the guitar or any drum rythm, and just less than a year later they're doing gigs and writing original music that is pretty good

@@light_asaii4858 It's true. The drummer did not even care about the instrument, he got into it just to play with his buddies. He fell in love with drumming very fast and he quickly became insanely good at it. He's one of the musicians I respect the most.

Nope. It's Alex. Glyn was in the band for just a few weeks, they didn't even play gigs when he was in the band. In all the gigs since the beggining it was Alex on lead vocals, nobody else
