I'll still find a way to make a teabagging amiibo. TWITCH - / balroggameroom TWITTER - / balroggameroom Channel design by: Nico Vliek / whaddupnico #Nintendo #Amiibo #SmashBros
Hey everyone! Just as a reminder - This video isn't meant to be an end-all, be-all video on what amiibo can do (I didn't even use custom powers, so they'd be evenly matched!), so please let me know of any experiments you tried in the comments! I'd love to hear what everyone's working on with their amiibo. Have a wonderful 2015!!
i got a yoshi amiibo and trained it normally to level fifty and had him fight a bunch of level nines and he won but then i started fighting with him on a cheap custom stage and later had him fight a gain on a normal stage and he lost so it seems amiibo aren't great with custom stages
Honestly these amiibo are not that worth it. They are perfect for Smash, but other than that, there is not much you can do with them. I really love them for collector's items, but as gameplay content, they are pretty lackluster
I expect when more games come out with amiibo functionality, like for instance when treasure tracker gets the amiibo functionality, they will gain more playability. You're right about them not doing much now, but I'm sure that will change in the future
When I was training my Mario amiibo, it would manage to grab me just as I was pressing the grab button. It's like fighting a better you. The dev team did an amazing job programming this kind of AI.
Doing nothing yet winning all the time has given Kirby to think and meditate. He has questioned his existence and philosophies. He has reached spiritual enlightenment. And chose to lose to you because he has realised he is nought but a game character. But won against the others because he knew their faults as nothing but slaves to your bidding.
They should add a cool mechanic where you could have an item Amiibo and whenever you're in a game and need an item desperately, you can scan the item Amiibo mid-game and it appears on the game- either next to you or anywhere. But you can only use this mechanic once per game.
DUUUUUUDE you got a Villager and a Marth good finds. Also happy new year Balrog hope the basically channel reboot goes really good for you at least I have been loving the new content.
I was very tempted to try the running off the edge thing, so I'm glad you did it for me, lol. Awesome video - not too many good ones on Amiibo that I've seen yet! On a side note, gotta love that Sonic music on your end card. I used to throw the Sonic CD game in my CD player and rock out to that soundtrack. ;)
If it wasn't a blood sport to hunt down the "less produced" amiibos then they would be cool. I found a Pit and C. Falcon at my Gamestop yesterday. The rush I got from finding them was comparable to winning the fucking lottery.
I had a Pikachu amiibo that I tried training with mixture of myself as Megaman and other amiibo, it used a bizarre technique where it jump and use thunder in the air to strike opponents from above, I think this is an interpretation of how I tend to use the Down+Air with Megaman. It also learned to switch between offensive and defensive playstyles, which I think it learned from my other amiibo's play styles.
xD the falling kirby down the stairs made me laugh but i think it got really strong because it wanted revenge for you also making sonic fall a lot of times until he came to a dark solution of beating everyone to death... by the way: new subscriber :D
Just imagine Nintendo pulling off a Skylanders type of crossover adventure game. You could meet or fight minor characters of other franchises or explore the worlds!
I heard somewhere that someone trained their amiibo on special brawl with 300% and gravity. Once the amiibo reached level 50 it dodged every move like its life depended on it. Pretty cool
i have a Wii-U, and i bought some Amiibos, but i'll probably never use them with my Wii-U. i just bought them because i wanted Zelda, Link, Samus, and Peach figurines.
Balrog, i had some good news on my amiibo's. Thanks to your tips, i have finally learned how to earn presents instead of getting at Classic mode or Trophy Rush. Thanks to my Peach amiibo, i had found the mii hat i was looking for. Also you can't just leave the wii u and let the amiibo's playing, or the system will such down even when you put the gamepad on a charger. It happens to me once, when i let the amiibo's training at Smash on a time of 99 Minutes, but if you don't pay attention on the wii u, the wii u will shut down some sort of a stand-by, only worse. Fortunately i had to starting over and let the 5 amiibo's playing. Then on Saturday, i finally got the mii hat thanks to my Peach amiibo. What a adventure and i'm pretty much done for now.
Has anyone ever tried getting two of the exact same amiibo and train them differently to level 50 to see if they actually have adaptive AI and not just unique AI scripting for each amiibo character?
Can I use a single amibo for all the games that have Amibo functions? Like Smash, Splatoon, and Zelda? Or does it need to be a character that’s in the game for it to work for the game?
Just out of curiosity how big is your amiibo collection right now, I have 15 but have ordered 10 more so am getting a least 25 and I think I will get even more later on.
My Little Mac amiibo learned how to edge guard really well with his down smash, which is something I do. It gets the timing perfectly almost every time. However, he keeps full charging his standard B, even though I severely punish it with a counter every time. He just doesn't learn...
Wait, so if yiu want them to counter your fighting style and destroy you you go against them but, if you want them to be just like you them have them be on tems?
I bought two Amiibo and I don't know, I love how they look and the quality of them but I was a little bit disappointed in the use of them in Smash Bros at least. Sure there are more games they can be used for but eh.. I'll buy some more of them just because I like them so much as a physical thing but for software use I don't think I will be using them much.
I love amiibo, and I'd buy more, but they go out of stock so quickly that I really can't get the ones I'd like. I heard pre-orders ended for the Shulk amiibo, which was the one I really, really wanted to get, so now I'm expecting to miss out on that one. I guess Kirby will have to keep me company, and Zelda if I end up getting her.
I'm going to be honest here, I've actually become obsessed with Amiibos. I have all of wave 1, all of wave 2, and most of wave 3. The only Amiibos that are currently out that I don't have are Meta-Knight, King Dedede, Rosalina, and Shulk. I don't know what it is about them but I just love owning the figures, their quality is good, I really like how small they are, and they allow for tons of experimentation with Super Smash Bros. Heck I've even at times considered making a video series on the Amiibos that involves some sort of plot. And if anyone can tell me where the heck I can find a Rosalina here in the UK, please do because I really want a Rosalina Amiibo.
I dont even have a wii u but ive bought most of them...(not villager wii fit and pitcuz i cant find them anywhere). That and with the 3ds support coming soon i cant wait to see what they do.
Here are the top 5 Amiibo (in my opinion) you should probably get if you only need the essentials. 1. Toad (fully required for 100%ing Captain Toad, and can quickly unlock the Toad board in Mario Party 10)(Also an Amiibo skin in Mario kart, and Mario maker.) 2. Megaman (For the Megaman Legacy Colection & Smash 4)(also unlocks an Amiibo skin in Mario kart, and Mario maker) 3. Yoshi/Plush (Yoshi's willy world & Smash 4)(plus they are adorable! I have 4 plushies!)(also unlocks an Amiibo skin in Mario kart, and Mario maker) 4. Shovel Knight (Shovel Knight, adds fantastic new content for both Shovelknight Wiiu and 3DS Amiibo scanner owners!) 5. The Mario Maker 30th anniversary Amiibo. (Unlocks the Big Mushroom in super Mario maker.) (also functions as Mario for Mario Party 10, unlocks a Mario kart mini skin, a fighter in Smash 4, and can be used in many more!)
And I recommend getting any amiibo of characters you like and don't get a lot of good merch or attention, like Meta Knight. I also recommend pre-ordering amiibo online, shipping to your house if possible- you never know what will happen.
I did a combo of things to my amiibo.... Going off what you said and amazingly my amiibo had my attacking srategy and a lv.9 CPU's defences! I worked out pretty good for my my amiibo though.
A single purchase to unlock content in multiple games and acts as a collective figurine as a consolation when they're not being used. That's beyond DLC.
Their stats are lower than standard on arrival an secretly upgrade them when they level up (defense, speed, attack...) Yes, even if you dont feed them equipment they still use it
I really like amiibo. They work great in smash and although they get really cheap at level 50 and do more damage then a normal player it's still fun to fight them. I also love collecting them as they look great but I always take care to pick one that looks good when I go in-store to buy them. Except if they are defective, then I'd buy it and sell it xD
The only problem I have with them is you can't stop training them for a while and you can't make mistakes while training them. I tried useing my Crash Bomb to keep my Mega Man amiibo off the stage, but I missed and fell into the blast zone on accident. Now whenever my Mega Man amiibo does his recovery, he shoots his Crash Bomb. I got bored of my lvl. 50 amiibo, and I took a break from them. When I came back, it was like they were lvl. 1. IT SUCKS.
Personally I think amiibos are dumb and don't plan on ever buying one but I enjoyed the solid arguments in this video. I enjoyed the silly jokes even more! Happy new year!
