Leaks disrupt the hype cycle so like it makes sense to aggressively try to stomp it out. Look at how League of Legends have gotten shafted twice in a row. But Genshin leaks at least create it's own hype with content creators making content that makes you want to play the character and try crazy teams
After taking knowledge of his C1, I decided to pull for Neuvillette C1, at least I can bring a 2 hydro ressonance and this Neuvi C1 becomes a feature instead a bugfix 💀💀💀

The conditions on his skills are counterintuitive to say the least, Mihoyo tends to do this to some characters to sell the solution afterward but in so many cases, the solutions are straight up disappointing

Just HYV doing shitty HYV things. If anything, from a logical point of view, Neuvillette shouldve had shittier healing to somewhat compensate for his amazing damage, while Rizzley should be capable of fully healing himself given his mediocre damage output and especially since he is a melee unit.

Any balance changes are done via MHY's in-house team, afaik. So yes, as far as we're concerned, they're pretty much there to leak shit and TC pre-release.
Important to note : Furinàs burst boosts damage dealt yes , but it also boosts incoming healing ! That’s a part that many people forget . At max stacks , she will grant 30% incoming healing bonus and 45% at Furina C1 . That means that with Furina C1 , Weiothesley’s healing uppercut will give him back 43.5% of his max HP , which is almost the amount he loses from doing 2 full combos . This basically allows him to be HP even (assuming you get full stacks on Furina and not taking into account damage from her pets)
Yeah not taking into account her pets is a massive oversight on your part. That’s 48% HP loss inherently per rotation, putting wrio even more in the red. Furina teams always need a healer anyway.

Also he will not lose HP from her pets if he’s below 50% HP . So you could imagine rotations where he gets on field with 50% HP and starts with a CA to regain almost all his HP and THEN starts comboing .

what is the worst part to me, is that i love a lot of characters like wriothesley but it seems as every character i love and think are amazing ideas get overly cucked over by hoyo. its really sad because he isn't gonna on standard like people thought he would. this feels similar to deyha just a little maybe not as bad.

Right when the beta started I could tell how much Hoyo favorites Neuvi because he got no nerfs while being so broken and they even nerfed Wrio's normal attack multipliers

i dont mind repeats of a character type but dif element. it allows u to try different elemental combinations with gameplay styles that you like without sacrificing being the alchemist youre meant to be. still waiting for pryo fitchle.

Xiao, Hutao, Eula, Diluc, Alhaitham, there's just so much dps that would benefit from levelling normal attacks. It sucks, but at least they started now. Better late than never I guess.
The biggest difference for me between comparing Hu Tao "needing" C1 vs Wrio "needing" C1 is that even at C0, Hu Tao is still a good unit. At the point in the game in which Hu Tao dropped, even C0 Hu Tao dominated the meta, and continued to do so for a long time to come after as well. So investing in her C1 just feels like a very nice (but not mandatory) QOL improvement for a unit that's *already* good. Wrizzley's kit feels like he just straight up needs C1 to even be considered decent, and isn't even worth considering at C0, which is just... shit. It's shit. I hate it.

Honestly, I think HP manipulation is a gimmick they're going to forget about as soon as we move onto Natlan, and Furina is going to become a weirdly niche pick for an Archon. I'm sure they'll remember it every once in a while, or throw it in at random like Xiao, but I'm fully expecting it to just never come up again. Like underwater exploration.
Well, I think that they will bring niche archons for niche mechanics, don't expect Natlan archon to be a 5* Benny, I wonder if the Natlan archon will handle sacrifice/ressurection mechanics (with a dedicated artifact set as well)

Wriothesley highlights everything I hate about the HP changing archetype. It's kind of meaningless, it's less a mechanic that changes the way you play and more a switch Hoyo flips to make characters work with their new, busted artifact set (and in the future, their busted archon). Wrio being a copy paste of Wanderer with that HP change fully puts that on display. I can totally see them artificially making every fontaine unit's best teams require 2-3 fontaine units, as they can just remake old characters that have lower baseline numbers but surpass the originals when run with Hunter set and Furina. Additionally, there's nothing stopping you from playing a unit with bad damage or a high-cost burst as you can usually build them to try and account for that, but Hoyo has such tight control over this HP consumption that they can get away with making a character feel like shit at c0 with their cons being the best solution. I get they could've made him bad without making him reliant on HP manip, but I really don't like the precident they're setting. That being said, I've fallen for it and I'm pulling for C1.
A lot of us felt the same way about Dendro, but Dendro just made a bunch of characters usable in a new way. These HP mechanics don't add anything to the sandbox, they're gimmicks at best and Hoyo's workaround is to make these characters self heal. So what's even the point? The way I see it, playing Wriothesley without a healer just means you NEED a healer.

@@hermitgreennthe thing tho is that Dendro was a new element and its interactions with other elements really opened new opportunities for a lot of characters and their play styles While I see ur point regarding the HP mechanic, I think their aim was to unlock a new archetype with these characters, with Furina at the centerpiece cause she gives a lot of damage buffs based on how much HP her team gains and loses. Like, I’m predicting that if u play with Furina, I think ur non Fontaine DPSes that synergize with here will have to be equipped with MH to achieve the best results or something Furthermore, it’s projected that Fontaine teams with Furina will benefit from these HP mechanics the most cause they too can manipulate HP through their own kits. It’s actually a unique archetype, but the argument can be made that the archetype stood out less now when they ironically buffed her to make her much more accessible to Non Fontaine teams

i hope we keep getting more "characters hp changes" artifacts, i would really love a set that heals you at low hp or something for the sake of fontaines craftables... and obviously for this cool dude (pun more than just intended) and everybodies favorite archon basically a pseudo replacement for healers so that people who like zhongli or something dont have to waste 2 spots for next-to-non-damaging units on their teams so they can use a cool gimmick another thought along the same lines is an artifact set that grants bond of life, surprised that doesnt exist honestly

@@annettegarde2636 how is broken? Applying the basic principles that apply to freeze, you wouldn’t be able to freeze more than half of the bosses because they self apply a different element. Thunder manifestation, the cubes etc and also a lot of the bosses have shields or strong attacks which also makes them unfreezable. For instance you can’t indefinitely freeze the consecrated beasts or the new big hilichurls

I wish genshin give special ui for hp requirements for character like these having small notch on the hp bar, like 50% is pretty easy to tell cause of the / on ur hp bar
comparing him to hutao and neuvi yeah his C1 sounds more like bait to spend more but tbh a lot of people play neuvi and hutao at C1 than C0 cuz bait is bait no matter how severe it is that being said you can argue that C1 or C2 for a lot of characters is the same because those could easily be part of their passives like wanderer C1 gives so little value it might aswell be part of his base kit but but it still results in more damage C1 cyno gives him atk speed so his TF combos are easier to perform thus resulting in more damage i think that rizzly not having 100% uptime on his skill isn't gonna be all that bad its just gonna be sub optimal at C0 like other C0 characters i think they should just make him like neuvi where the skill still works even if you're below 50% HP hopefully they do that before release fingers crossed otherwise C1 is our only hope to fix this character
@@mickysaif Wriothesly is not energy dependent so Qiqi not battery'ing him doesn't matter as much tho! Use qiqi on a high refinement sac sword and you will have her skill up again immediately so you just swap to her again once the skill stopped working 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Yaoyao will stop applying dendro to heal unless you’re standing very close, since you will lose hp, which would make it not work unless you get really close and the radish hits the enemy in its aoe. I’m also not sure whether thoma will apply enough pyro, but it could work. you can test thoma with chongyun nahida/yaoyao kokomi and see if it works, using thoma to attack since wriothesley also attacks pretty fast.
@@georgezhang1573Thoma applies pyro each second with an internal icd per target, but burgeon seeds are brand new targets each time so he burgeons each second unless you don't produce seeds.
@@amandaslough125 no, not for burgeon. Thoma might apply pyro too slowly to keep up with furina’s hydro application, causing freeze and melting thoma instead of melting wriothesley. Burning however does increase pyro application, and it might be able to keep up due to furina having slower hydro application than yelan.
I'd say the bell makes his build a lot easier because with signature + mare you are already pretty high on CR . With Jade on Neuvi it was really hard for me to not go above 100% , but now that I have Neuv signature the build is a lot easier and the ratio goes crazy (89/292)
I'm actually planning to pull him just to play melt-burgeon with Furina. I already have Baizhu and I think Thoma will be better instead of Xiangling. Finger crossed for Arlecchino's kit.
Man….looking at the way they got super lazy with his kit and made it somewhat underwhelming then fixed most of his problems with his cons, I really wished the rumors about him being standard were true. That way, people couldve got his c0 from his banner then every 50/50 loss to him wouldve been huge. :/
If he was standard, the chance of getting his constellations would have been lower than if he was limited, because you can't guarantee getting a specific standard 5stars in any way. I have been playing this for almost 3 years and I don't have a single Copy of Jean.
I don't understand why they'd give Wriothesley a kit that insists upon getting his C1 while also expecting people to have enough primos leftover to pull for Furina as well, ESPECIALLY if Furina would be an ideal support for him. Whales and simps aside, I've seen most people saying that if they had to choose between the two, they'd skip Wriothesley for Furina. His kit doesn't seem to be doing him any favors, as if non-whales needed more incentive to skip him.
I think they know that he will sell poorly, in fact i suspect that's why his c1 is the way it is, to squeeze wishes from dolphins and people who really like him i wanted to get him on re-run but i changed my mind i dont wanna be forced to pull for c1 just for him to not feel shit to play also its funny how we got lyney and neuvi who are amazing at c0 but then wrio came and well it is what it is.
I agree. I hate these characters that have constellations that fix issues. It obviously means these characters are kinda bad. I don't mind too much with Hu Tao cause the constellation helps her but doesn't fix her, she wasn't broken to start. I have c0 and she works perfectly good enough even without good cancels but this just sounds kinda bad. It's giving dehya vibes. Definitely feel like he was going to go to the standard banner originally. Maybe he still will. Who knows.
I tried so hard to stick with c0 hu tao but it feels so awful :/ I sometimes think people run to defend her c1 because she’s old and people have gotten used to the CA cancel dance. I’ve no doubt wrio will have a similar adaptation period, I’m just glad there’s no tech gameplay gimmick with him
@@MO-zk8qs yeah giving him a trial I actually like his c0 gameplay. I like watching for your health below the magic mark then charge attacking to get his health back up. It's great. But c1 ,from what I gather, sort of fixes it and ruins it. Hes duration is a lot longer but the charge attack mechanic is sort of pointless and he just feels like a bit of a boring driver type character. On the in game trial (in his story quest) you get to test him out at c3 and it was very underwhelming. Except for a little change in mechanics I really didn't notice much. I have c2 wanderer and he FAR outclasses him. And unlike wanderer it's really hard to tell when he is in or out of his state. I wanted to like him and have an excuse to pull but he is just not for me. Did you pull him? If so what's your thoughts?
@@Jett125 all fair thoughts though can’t personally relate. After trying his trial I was a fan, really enjoy the fat dmg I get from completing the buffed CA. I’m also a wanderer user and he is great, but I somewhat don’t like how he’s tied at the hip w faruzan to get his big numbers. W wrio he self buffs and self heals. Only different I can see is his c0 really wants a healer while c1 and above he is self sufficient + some extra fat dmg. I’ve saved enough for him and may chip away to get his c1, but I’m not as frustrated as I thought I’d be with his c0. It feels good to have a cryo 5* option that isn’t ganyu or ayaka, both of which put me to sleep. This is also subjective, but his design is some of the best genshin’s put out
@@MO-zk8qs yeah he is well cool. If I pulled him I think he would go great in my hyperbloom team as I have baizhu but I like running double hydro. The other thing stopping me is the artifact domain. I have the worst hunter luck ever! It's taken me till now to get a functional set for lyney and even then he is still only running 50 to 180 crit on hamayumi. I wanna get his bow when he come back round and unlike you I don't have a single cryo dps. Might pull for ganyu depending on primos but my next priority is ayato. I really want c2 baizhu but I've pre prepared everything for ayato so can't miss him.
Jean also has an attack speed buff in her C2 which will consume more HP, same issue as Mika. I'm C3 Jean so this is relevant for me. (Still no Mona tho QQ)
I mean since jean heals off field its fine. I wonder how funny it would be to do like mika/rizz/furina/jean. Double atk speed buffs so u drain hp super fast but jean heals it back quickly and furina makes up for the dmg% loss from not running kazuha

YO GUYS, I bet my a** MHY is testing their limit again. The last time was with a Standard Banner char, Dehya who has hot design and good background story/personality (they did grab good money on her release) and now they are doing it with a Limited char. They want to see how hard/willingly (C1,...) the simps are going to get A limited char to function. If they earns tons of money from Rizzley banner, I believe from that point on, they would focus on Designing the Hottest waifu/husbando, leaving their kit lackluster at C0 and urge the simps to go for another Cons to feel like the char complete😂😂😂 and we would see that more often. Just my opinion but it is a shame if Rizzley is their test subject.

I hate how his ultimate is like wanderer, like he charges a punch like one punch man, throw a singular punch, and is multi hit dealing basically the same dmg as wanderer....
It does little to deterrent you if you are hell-bent on pulling for your waifu/husbando tho, idc if he has problems or is awkward to play, I must pull husbando characters, it´s in my lifeblood

And tbf even if you pull for husbando they are still good at clearing if you are ever interested. Neuvilette and Al-Haitham for example smashed through this Abyss cycle. And last time I used Mono-Hydro Ayato too

I am wishing for Wriothesley. My idea was to play a team that i usually don't, so melt or fridge. But bain marie looks fun and already have baizhu and a burgeon set (with em and er). I have enough wishes for 2 five stars. I hope I get his C1, if not it not too much of a problem.
it still surprises me that my atk goblet makes wrio's melt dmg way better than cryo goblet and they only have a 7.8cv difference. This is even with benny on the team which is why it baffles me a lot. Also it's worth mentioning that MH needs heavy crit dmg rolls and rolling on just one stat (cdmg) compared to two stats (double crit) feels more difficult. It's also the reason why I am currently using my 4Shimenawa on him because the output is just better compared to 4MH (according to aspirin). 4WT outputs even way better than shimmie but of course only in melt. I'd like to use my 4wt on him but it's currently on Tighnari and I don't want to keep switching artifacts just cuz I want to change wrio's comp from melt to freeze and vice versa. I hope everyone gets a lot of good artifacts for him cuz I'm happy I have someone to use my 4Shimenawa now (cursed eosf domain never gave me amazing eosf) and will probably stay that way until 5.0 comes along cuz the new artifact domain is being rude to me.
I don't care for his character or design, so I was gonna skip anyway, but I do hope he at least has a couple teams where he's unique so he doesn't feel like a waste of primos for the people who do want him.
I was waiting to hear about Frostbearer, being it that it's atk% catalyst and he's finally a cryo catalyst that can in theory proc passive 100% of the time.
Better combo people have found, n1 melt, then dash right as you click for n4, it cancels the n4 but let’s you continue the combo chain and hit a melt on his big n5 hit
i know its weird but what about qiqi as a cryo healer for him? he doesnt look like hes that much burst dependant so qiqis 0 energy generation doesnt matter that much. And she heals so so much that you will never go below 50% hp.
Qiqi is possible his healer but remember you can't heal him in full HP or over 60%. We don't have healer who have limiter. Much better to use him Kuki.
