Well done with this interview David. This is the type of content I appreciate getting once in a while. The Latino vote is something the dems take for granted.
That's what I posted earlier and was told trump doesn't like illegal Hispanic's. In truth if you aren't white and extremely rich he doesn't like you just your donations.
In Miami-Dade, almost every politician is Hispanic. The elected officials there then go against their own (Miami-Dade County is majority Cuban/Cuban-American, and large majority Hispanic). All a candidate has to say is, "Those Dems are commies, I hate commies, you hate commies," and they're elected. It doesn't matter how much harm they do to the Hispanic community and all other minorities-it's all about the ghost of Fidel Castro.
@@Johnny.Fedora I just mean as in like we need to support more Hispanics in politics all over the country not just in Florida, other Hispanics need to vote and support more Hispanics in politics
Oh thank God, the noble white leftists are here to tell minorities what to think and how to vote. Imagine if we let them think for themselves? That would be crazy!
This was a fascinating discussion with a lot of interesting points. However, I'm confused by in around the 2:30 - 2:40 point in the video where Rick Sanchez seems to mention the Soros foundation as part of right-wing Latino outreach, when the Soros foundation is approaching it from the left-wing perspective. Did I misunderstand something there, because I found that part baffling?
I added this to my playlist and didn't pay attention to the title. Then I hear you were interviewing Rick Sanchez and I almost gagged on my tea. My first reaction was, "what? You're interviewing a cartoon scientist?" I had to see the face of the man you were interviewing.
If you're argument for no change is "I can't imagine using that," you aren't making an argument against change, you're admitting that you are uncomfortable with that change.
Latinos need to consolidate their vote as a political group. Make themselves crucial as a voting block and stop splitting their vote. They need to be smarter and not play into the conservative-democratic divide. The black vote for the Democratic Party has nothing to do with conservative vs progressive values (in fact most black voters are conservative). Their vote is to leverage their power as a relevant voting block. They know neither party has their interest at heart and simply use the Democratic Party as a vehicle to political power.
Latinos are hard working , Family oriented , Conservative , patriotic and Religious . They stay away from crime . Their values are completely opposite of Afro Americans . They don’t like being a vict:im .
Except the Cubans who think of themselves as not Latinos but more like whites, they think they´re the white people of Latinos kind like the Argentinians!
@@seriousmaran9414 confederate conservatives always try to be anything the American is to fool us.........confederates have no values they just want to see America burn bcz they lost the civil war
@@JOEDIRTERULEZ Well that's some of them. The ones at the top are just greedy and want even more money than they already have, even though they cannot spend what they have got. Those prey on the gullibility and nationalism of the people who support the Republican party
Latinos who have immigrated lawfully do not necessarily view favorably Latinos who enter illegally, given the bias that many Americans have toward "illegal aliens." So, legal immigrants' best interests aren't necessarily to support the Democrat party on this issue....and it is an issue central to their lives in America.
I don't think it's necessarily because of "bias" towards illegal immigrants, I'm pretty sure most people would be a little agitated if they worked hard and did something the right way and someone else came along and just circumvented the system illegally. And then benefitted from the taxes they don't pay.
@@markzuckergecko621, Where does the idea that undocumented immigrants not paying taxes come from? What they don't do is reap benefits from the taxes that they DO pay, whether income tax/FICA (they don't collect Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, AFDC, SNAP, etc.) or sales tax, and they don't get a refund for overpaying.
M-Morty, I got an interview with David Packman, we gotta stop this dimension from defaulting to fascism like the shrimp and teddy bear dimensions from that one episode, buuuurrp.
despite conservatives constant whining and fearmongering, the vast majority of immigrants and non white Americans are for cultural, religious reasons on the conservative side of things. But most of them are held back from voting republican by their overt xenophobia and racism toward everyone that is not a white christian.
I loved it but this was too short. Rick is so engaging and positive, I could listen to him talk all day..I didn't know DP was a Latino..Al jazeera should have nabbed Rick from RT America
If all democrats are not communist, what are you exactly? Those are the ideas and policies you support are they not? You believe government control over most things are the answer right? That’s the general premise of what democrats believe so what’s inaccurate about referring to you as communists?
Latinos do not all think and vote the all same. It would be nice to see them better represented in government. Here in California we have some diversity, but not in the highest offices in the state.
I think the Dems have taken the Latino vote for granted for too long. They’ve supported more permissive immigration policies, which I’m totally for, but I think this issue becomes less important for the now second and third generation immigrants. In addition, I know immigrants who went through the whole long legal process and are a little resentful of a proposed path to citizenship for people who came here illegally. It’s not that I agree with that sentiment, but we need to find a way to address it. Something else I don’t think is being discussed is that many Latinos are converting from Catholicism to Evangelicalism. The Catholic vote is mostly split, and that’s largely in part because the large Latino population has traditionally voted Democrat, but there’s clearly some more conservative values that’s pulling some people toward the Evangelicals, so that should be looked at too.
Wild that he went from saying “don’t change language from Latino to Latinx” to the next sentence “don’t call people black/white/brown/etc” 😂 take your own advice and leave good enough as is. Most black people in the US were born here and not in Africa, that’s why they’re black Americans, not African Americans. Pretty ez to understand. Otherwise great interview.
while i may not be able to articulate what i mean exactly, i have the feeling that many of these voters misunderstood that trump's offers, where more about sounding good politically, and less about a genuine desire to help this diverse group. and with that, and given trump's history, the overall effect is likely not really as much a 'win' as trump would have people believe. the trend post trump, may continue to disenfranchise all groups as the gop has has little interest in helping
Nancy Pelosi was trying to live in the moment, not the future. Problems need an immediate answer. Not just the thinkers saying JUST YOU WAIT, THINGS WILL WORK THEMSELVES OUT. And that is what it sounds like you are saying, Rick Sanchez.
@@danr2652 really? That’s funny because I have a VHS tape of Rick Sanchez singing to his bride at his wedding, and he sounds like injured cattle, and that’s something not everyone has…
I think this should be a wake up call for Democrats like Hillary Clinton, who beliefed a reform of policy wasn't necessare because the demografic change would play in their hands anyway.
