If you want a tip.older cadi have the compressors for these shocks..junkyard finds.when i had daytons on my cadi I would air up all the way cause they have the compressor under the hood with a air valve.fun days
Just came across your page even tho I follow you on facebook lol. I was looking to do this exact thing to my s10 but wanna run an on board compressor and controller from Air Lift. Great video and the fact you're running what appears to be 3in drop blocks like me I know I'll get exactly what I'm looking for 🤘🤘 I love being lowered but any weight and she squats like crazy
Thx for the content :-) might I suggest a project? A quiet cabinet build for your compressor ;-) a little flooring, a 2b4, some closed cell foam sheets.. cud be a table on top.. stickerboom it all to taste.. good luck
I'm learning. After I sat back and looked at everything I figured that out. The lines don't need to be the same length, I gotta keep reminding myself! Lol
Looks like you were out driving it with the bed off can see the mud on the back of the cab I bet there was some sick rooster tails coming off the tires
Can you do a video about installing a bolt in C-notch? Thinking about doing one to my 93 with this exact rear setup. My wallet won't allow me to pull the trigger on full air ride just yet.
@hardcore garage What's the minimum and maximum height between the bumper and the ground when they're aired up or aired down? I want to do this while I have my S-10 apart!
I picked up a '91 with 40k miles on it and I'm going through the whole truck, but I want a way to lower the back end to the ground then go to normal ride height when I haul rocks or whatever
What happens when you're driving on the freeway with a huge load and for whatever reason the hose gets ripped off and you lose all that support while passing a truck? When fire wood cutting I over loaded my truck and couldnt even drive more than 30 mph without losing steering had to unload then continue.
Don't overload the truck! Lol we know the risks when we do dumb stuff. The truck never hauled anything after the air shocks were on it... and its sold and doesn't have the rack on it anymore
Wow, that's a little too much work just to remove the rear shocks from a Gen 1 S10/Sonoma, because removing and installing the shocks for a Gen 2 S10/Sonoma is much easier and doesn't require using a wrench to hold the Nut to remove/install the Mounting Bolt. That said, the best solution is to Weld the Nut onto the Shock Mounting Plate, and when it's to replace the rear shocks, all that is needed is a socket to remove/install the Mounting Bolts. Also, those Air Shocks won't do much, unless you're going to use your truck to haul a heavy load or using the whole bed as a subwoofer enclosure (like I did with my 1988 Mitsubishi Minitruck back in the late 1980's) or to tow a trailer.
@@HardCoreGarage not according to you and in your own words in the video. but like I said, weld the nuts, especially since the bed is off the frame and welding the nuts now is a lot easier than having the bed on the frame.
