What Dr heiser managed to achieve with his last decade or two is save faith from religious dogma his books and podcast appearances along with his lectures for me really saved the bible from it's 2000 years of church and political use, by putting it in its correct time and understanding and explaining it in its correct context saved it from so many of the issues different churches had created over the years to the point even believers had trouble with all the contradicting language, what a great man making the bible understandable, fun and epic something the churches hadn't done in a long time

8:14 I tried to share this with my mom 👩🏼 but she’s just in a different part of life. Still raising a little one, my youngest sister is 13, and just living in a different part of biblical principles 2Timothy 3: 16. When I had my Psalm 82 moment, I knew it was from the Lord, Hebrews 4: 12 from the Lord and it was the most amazing feeling that, although it was well after 1 in the morning, I got outta bed onto my knees and thanked Him! We have to respect where people are in their walk and know that if they’re seeking the LORD it’s all good. We can present this and try to help folks understand but everyone needs their Hebrews 4: 12 moment. 💕 🙏🏽

Dr. Heiser changed my life. RIP. Wait, that came off wrong. His teachings, or I guess it could be said GOD working thru Mike, touched me and changed me. I know Michael was just a man, but he was very very good at what he did. He took what is often complicated, unwrapped it and explained it so that it made sense to me. Where my Church couldn't do that and wouldn't. I asked, and was told..."don't worry about the Old Testament. It's not for you, we are about the New Testament" .NO..what kind of answer to my question(s) was that?

I wonder if Michael Heiser is now observing the discussions of the heavenly council. Did he meet JESUS upon his transistion? It must be wonderful to be a spirit.

I am misssing how to express that YHVH is not JUST the biggest and strongest and the one who created the "lesser" gods, but He is OTHER than all the rest, HOLY, as it were. So, if the biblical authors had a preconceived understanding that the "stars" and "planets" were actually sentient heavenly beings... is it possible that those authors are responsible for introducing a doctrine of "heavenly hosts" that is not true? Did you know that God himself CALLED the sons of God at Psalm 82, 'gods'? Did you know that God himself CALLED Moses 'god' at Exodus 4:16 and Exodus 7:1? If God the Father is the only true God as Jesus says at John 17:1-3, why did God call these other people 'gods'? Why is God called the God of gods at Deuteronomy 10:17? If an idol is nothing, why does Paul say at 1st Corinthians 8:4-6 that there are many lords and many gods? Why does he say that there's only one God for Christians, the Father, if there's a co-equal Trinity? If Jesus is part of this co-equal Trinity, why does he say at John 14:28 that he is not equal to the Father? Why does Jesus say at John 10:29 that no one is equal to the Father? Wouldn't this destroy the concept of a co-equal Trinity if NO ONE is equal to the Father? This would exclude even the Holy Spirit from being equal to the Father, wouldn't it? If Jesus is the image of the Father according to Colossians 1:15, and we are forbidden to worship images according to Exodus 20:4, wouldn't we be committing idolatry by worshiping Jesus? Wouldn't we then be in danger of being fooled by the Antichrist into worshiping the image of the slain lamb described at Revelation 13? The one that fools even the Elect, if possible?

Interesting language to obfuscate the more simple language that the Bible (i.e., translations) uses. Simply, there are three kinds of spiritual beings, the Creator God, Angels (demons and elect angels), and there are humans, thats it. Saying, “Spiritual beings” as though there are more kinds than God Himself, angels, and human souls is just a way to get attention by using new terms to define things. You've gotta have understanding of Enoch, the 7th from Adam and great grandfather of Noah and what went on in those days. Giants, quite literally did walk this earth. When I heard about the council and what it may imply. It scared me,just thinking about it felt like a mistake. There's just one God. The son, the father and the holy spirit.

To consider elohim to be 'disembodied' is to neglect the fact that Paul tells us that they have a spiritual flesh, or body. They just aren't confined to a fleshly lower body. But they are not disembodied. 1 Cor. 15:39,40.

No, I am not a churchie type blind supporter of the blind leading the blind; but just because you go in an opposite direction does not mean that there are no errors, deceit and misdirection. That’s what we have here, and thats what Heiser was all about. You can learn and change so much by breaking free of typical religious-type of Christianity and it’s purposed lack of teaching all things Scripturally; not avoiding, minimizing parts of Scripture. At the same time we don’t make a doctrine out of things which are beyond our pay grade (being a fallen human in a fallen body with a fallen, limited and finite mind. We have the comps it’s to make words and concepts far beyond our ability to fully understand many matters given by The Holy Spirit. Furthermore it’s all that we do not know and that which we don’t know interacts with what we have been told. I believe that Enoch should be Scripture along with so many other books of Scripture; whether removed or never considered to be included. All I have seen in my lifetime (whether related to writings of faith is an arrogant knowledge. That does not mean that one communicates arrogance; one might seem like a very balanced and reasonable (even humble) person. Nevertheless the cloaked inner arrogance of having “special” knowledge or revelations consumes within. Many do not ever break free. In this case, Heiser’s alliance with a sect of Christianity so filled with deception and lies (whether out of ignorance or purposed) is astounding. Learned, highly known, great book writer means absolutely nothing necessarily with Truth or accuracy. Heiser has gone on to declare that Yah purposely lied to His people…..and then filled Scripture with “Easter eggs” here and there that supports what he declared Yah lied about just so His people wouldn’t be confused or look silly about the other peoples around them. And here we go again…..the council….but the enemies of Yah do know, so well, our weaknesses and fallen foolish nature.

Sometimes it is necessary to use empirical science to understand the scriptures. Through observation and experience we find the way God and other creatures work, and correctly define the entities. Otherwise, if we do not use empirical science, we create distortions in biblical interpretation. When we define the term Elohim, we refer to different levels of authority: 1)The highest authority. 2)The other entities to which God has delegated authority to do good. Some authorities respect the will of God and others do not. The reason the Creator delegates authority is to interact with his creatures. It seems that the I Am is pleased to love its creatures and that its creatures reciprocate appropriately.

I think the ancient cultures recorded these gods... or different creatures. I think it has been hidden and mixed with myths. These gods had higher knowledge and taught mankind. They mixed with humans and created the nephilum or titans as the Greeks called them. Then so massive flood killed them off. They could possibly still be here. Or their bloodline continues.. These gods fought over power. Some used humans and some helped humans.

'In the beginning, God created Heaven and Earth". But this KJV bible translation can also be phrased "the Father of the beginnings created the Elohim, heaven and earth". I think this means the One God created the many gods aka the Elohim. Gomer=wisdom + Oz=strength + Dabar= beauty equals GOD. Lord of the Universe, Source, Spirit are other names for the one, true God. Haven't watched this video yet, watching it now, I could tell you that all throughout the Old Testament it absolutely states that there are other gods. Ipso facto, there are other gods. Unless you want to start adding biblical poetry and nuance that doesn't really exist in the book or you're reading some of the Recon material that comes along after Old Testament. Then they might try to make it sound different. But that's not what was originally written.

The higher choirs of angels do have wings. The closer to God they are the less human ish they appear.

This seems to be a long-winded way of saying that there are other spiritual beings other than The Lord that may claim to be a god. We usually call them demons.

Just curious. As I’ve looked into this and concluded much of what is presented here, doesn’t it imply that Jesus (or the Word / the Son) is an elohim but not his Father. In other words, he isn’t the Most High, since logically there can only be 1 most high, Jesus’s Father. The One feared in the divine council. The one Jesus told us is “greater than I”. I guess a part of me just wonders if Jesus (or the Word) is one the of the “Sons of God”. As Hebrews says: “When he brings the firstborn into the world.” This is Jesus but my question is when does this take place? In Mary’s womb or is this taking place some time in eternity past? Verse 6 goes on to add: But as men you die. Which is what Yeshua did, as elohim he was in the beginning with God YHWH, but in the flesh He would die. Yeshua rose from the dead because He was the Worthy Lamb without sin who took the sin of the world upon Him. It is impossible to be a son of God and not be a god. That is why the Anunaki, the fallen angels were so powerful compared to fallen human beings. They taught Cain's lineage all kinds of Magic and Skills. Therefor they were refered to as other mighty ones.
