I think the biggest problem is almost every fight has at has one person who can stink it up. Jiri is awesome, but Rakic could take him down and hug him for 3 rounds. Kattar always brings it, but Sterling could backpack him for 3 rounds. They keep hyping up Bo Nickal but they keep giving him these guys who fight on the prelims on fight night cards. Holly Holm hasn't been in an exciting fight since she headkicked Ronda. I like Gaethje vs Holloway, but there's a good chance it's a one sided beatdown. Tsarukyan could lay on Oliviera for 3 rounds if Charles is too content to fight off his back. Weili is cool, but Yan just isn't that interesting. Lopes and Yusuf is pretty cool, but that could have easily been a fight night main event. Jim Miller deserves to be on 300 so no complaints there. But they couldn't even give him one of the fights he asked for. Leon confirmed he's going to defend at 300, and most likely he'll be fighting Belal. Do I really have to say anything about that one? Hopefully the main event delivers.
Am I the only that doesn’t mind Holm vs Harrison, not excited about it just don’t mind it. Have feeling Holm will actually throw hands this fight because she can’t clinch with Kayla…or she just circles the cage for 15mins which is probably what actually happens

Hey man, listen. Still a banger of a card but people were thinking we were gonna see like Conor vs Brock and Jones vs OMalley. But realistically 299 is amazing so it outshines 300 atm.
I think the only thing this card needs is Izzy vs khamzat as a blockbuster fight as outside of Charles Oliveira and yan vs weili for the Asian audience people feel there isn't any massive mainstream name they want (Holloway gaethje for BMF Belt was a bit of a weird so that kinda killed of the hype) But in general I feel people have definitely been a bit hard on the card but it could be better.

honestly i reckon as of now, leon vs belal 2 is the main event of ufc 300 but dana knows how much backlash he will get if he announces that so they’re trying to find another main event. makes sense when you realise the ufc tried offering aspinall to stipe for the ufc 300 main event because they were desperate for a new one but stipe declined. the only real main events we could possibly have rn are pereira vs ankalaev or ddp vs izzy
I understand match ups and who the fighter is matters but UFC 300 will probably be a really exciting PPVs in real time. It really just depends how the night rolls out and if there's competitive fights with exciting finishes. If a card ends ups turning out shitty, I personally have more fun talking shit about it afterwards instead of complaining about it before it even happens. As for the RU-vid MMA commentary space, having a shock factor works, and they're getting a lot of views and attention from their complaints. When Lucas dropped his UFC 300 Is An Abomination To Humanity (ridiculous video title by the way lol) I couldn't help to chuckle at the speed in which he dropped it. Pretty sure he dropped that video within an hour of the Holm vs. Harrison announcement. That video lacked substance too, but he's raking in views and probably making good money off of it and his UFC 300 rant series.
They need to give us Conor V Chandler . It’s the only fight that fits the 300 main event . Would’ve loved Nate v Conor 3 too. But there’s no other stars. Needs to be Conor imo
Not a single one of the announced fights is good enough to be a main event of 300. So every time a new fight gets announced people hate on it because it’s not quite big enough to be a main event. I guarantee you if they announced Conor VS Leon tomorrow the public opinion on the whole card would make a 180 turn real fast.
ufc 300 is pretty good imo i only overreacted to justin/max and charles/arman banger fights don’t get me wrong but islam said he’d be good to fight in june and with the making of both top lw contenders to fight it’ll kill off contenders and we won’t see a lw title fight until later in the year
it's not that the card is bad on the surface. it's just random. i feel any average fan could make a better card. charles vs arman is an example of a good fight. but fig vs garbrandt? so random. gaethje vs holloway again why? and then the 3 wmma fights. so i dont agree with you man. im not asking for "too much" just solid fights not random "barn burners" like gaethje vs holloway. why not just have two solid contenders in the same division like jiri vs rakic (which is also a good fight).
Its a pretty good, but compared to the card before it and the expectations it had as the biggest card of recent years people are looking at it negatively. UFC 299 should be 300 for the most part because of just how over stacked it is, but its not a bad card
UFC 300 is a good card but the matchmaking is so weird like Kattar vs Sterling or Zhang vs Yan aren’t bad fights but Sterling should be fighting Ortega, Zhang vs Yan should be on a Chinese card. Charles & Arman deserve a title shot, Islam should be fighting one of these guys. Jiri vs Rakic only makes sense because Jan pulled out
People are overreacting like crazy over Zhang vs Yan and Holm vs Harrison, i don't like saying people dont like fights because their womens fights. But c'mon if there were the exact same fights but with guys I guarantee people would love it
So long as the Chinese WMMA fight isn't wasting a main card slot, I'd be fine with it. Like cmon man, these cards come along every 7 years, why can't they just put these quota matchups on the prelims.

After the Holm announcement people are definitely overreacting. We got 3 main card spots still and several former champs on the prelims that would be main card quality any other card. Trust the bald man he’s got us.

300 is a great card but unless they’re gonna have McGregor vs Chandler headline, I don’t see what other main event they can have that would be 300 worthy.

In my opinion Oliveira vs Tsarukyn should have been an IC, Islam should have fought Gaethje in June and if Islam would have won he should have gone up to ww. Get the winner of Belal vs Leon (UFC 300) and then face the winner of Oliveira Tsarukyn. That would have been my ideal match ups

I do think people overreact about it a little bit, you got banger fights like, Charles vs Arman for Number one Contender, Justin vs Max that can also be a number 1 contender, Miller vs Green, Lopez vs Yusuff, Weili vs Yan, Etc.
