In my opinion the more muscle you build the more hard it get cause it gets more tight with the skin which leads into a hardness and a little of fullness even if you ain't at the middle of workout.

I personally think I get more of a psychological boost from taking a preworkout than the actual chemicals. Of course the caffiene pumps me up all night if I lift after noon, and the beta-alanine makes me all tingly.

yeah ive been drinking coffee every day since i was like 12. my body has an incredible tolerance to it at this point. so much so that the only reason i continue to drink it on a daily basis is to avoid the headaches that i get if i dont. so a cup of coffee before a workout doesnt really touch me. atleast not in any meaningful way. unlike my uncle. so this is where the preworkout comes in. a dose thats 3-4 times higher most definitely touches me. but unlike my uncle i actually enjoy its effects and improves my performance.

An extra benefit to pre workout is it helps you to add an extra ritual that keeps you fit. You associate your pre workout with going to the gym. So it’s easier to go to the gym. You wake up in the morning and take pre workout and boom. You’ve placed in concrete the fact that your going to go lift. Edit: just to clarify I have never and will never take pre workout. I go with espresso and a meal bar.

It's the same with coffee + coffee in moderation is good for you(unlike pre). I drink coffee only before a workout, strong black no sugar and set a timer for 1 hour and then workout.

Glutamine might not be a power builder, but it helps the muscles to not eat theirselves for protein. And the best thing about Glutamine, is that the next day you won't feel as sore. I take Glutamine by itself after my workout. You can definitely tell the difference with and without Glutamine.

Just started taking pre-workout last month. The dude at the gym is an ex gnc manager and he said Pre workout is more like a placebo and stated everything you said. I'm accostumed to it now. It's wack. Preparing ourselves mentally is what helps. Excellent video!

Taking supplements regularly benefits the body more cause the body requires time to digest, consume the nutritients! in general It takes up to 3-4 hours for the Body to integrate the nutritients into the system. IT can varify even more from what you are eating: for example it takes 6-8 hours for meat to be digested, sugar kicks in almost immediately. there are a lot of factors you have to consider but another time ;)

I think most preworkout mixes have a lot of extra chemicals in them that may add minor benefits but aren't really worth the price. I make my own preworkout mix with creatine, beta alanine, bcaas, and sometimes caffeine. Buying the ingredients separately gives me what I think is important in a preworkout mix at a lower cost

All i know is that preworkouts work really well in bossting my energy, so even if its a placebo - its still worth the money. It does what it says it does. I can workout for 3-4 hours straight with preworkout, literally exploding with energy. Im getting tired after 1 hour without it. Once or twice i forgot about my preworkout and my lack of energy reminded me of them really fast. Also its really helpfull in days when im not really felling like working out. Taking my preworkout means im going to the gym, my body goes into workout mode.

I have adhd and pre workouts help me focus a lot. I play football (soccer) and many times my adhd makes me play worse because i'm not focused. I might do something amazing in a hard situation but the next time i get the ball i might do something stupid even though it's an easy situation with no pressure. Pre workouts have helped me with this so much. I can finally focus for the entire time of playing and not just parts of the game.

Tricky Ballz as long as you take them as suggested on the label you should be gucci, gotta remember most of the pre work outs on the market have like 250mg of caffeine and up per one scoop and some even have cousins of ephedra and dmaa in them as well, so you honestly would wanna talk to your dr, and then shop around to find one that works for you

KoiFlow not if you don't drink coffee and pop. Also considering most pre workouts only have between 150-300 caffeine per scoop im sure its not a big deal. Especially if your healthy in general. Though i think 2 scoops of caffeine at 300 for each scoop is a little overboard still wont kill you. Unless your prone to heart problems

Hey I'm Andrew, I'm 14, and have been lifting for a little over a year now. I started taking C4 Pre-work out and noticed label reads, "This product intended for healthy adults, 18 years of age or older". This alarmed me, and being only 14 I'm wondering if taking this on a daily basis will actually have any negative long term effects?

Andrew DeLaney let me just tell you this... pre-workout doesn’t work as the video states; it’s more or less like a “placebo.” Placebos are bs and are only intended to give the user the belief that its working for a medical condition. Same to say about pre-workout. Now I started with weights around that time and would highly recommend to just stick to healthy eating, adequate sleep, protein, and a cheat meal every now and then. There’s no need to get into the business of fitness, since marketing will convince you that you NEED this item to look like this. You will still look cute at the end of the day and will eventually see that you never needed it. Hope this helps out

They say that for legal reasons. They did not study the effects on younger people going through puberty and developing brains. It won't hurt you. But you don't need pre-work out at your age. Just take creatine and eat enough protein(preferably from food sources).

definitely not, you will do well on the push up/sit up portion, but you will tank your run. Ive seen so many people fail or almost fail because of it.

Yes, pre workout is great! I got some watermelon flavored stuff from walmart it's a little chalky but I like chalky anyways and it literally makes me feel like I'm on cocaine(people have described it to me) and yes it makes me tingle. A lot. My friend did not tingle.
