Are Renters and Homeowners Facing a Crisis? Over 4 Million Families at risk for Foreclosure in June

In this video, we dive deep into the latest findings from the HUD analysis of the Census Household Pulse Survey (Phase 4.1, Cycle 5: April 30-May 27). The report reveals significant trends in rental and mortgage payment behaviors across the United States. Here are some key insights:
Approximately 11.1% (5.1 million) of renter households were behind on their rental payments in May, showing an improvement from 12.4% (5.7 million) a year ago.
An estimated 4.4% (2.03 million) of renter households feared eviction was imminent in the next two months, slightly down from 4.5% (2.08 million) the previous year.
Around 5.3% (4.35 million) of homeowner households were behind on their mortgage payments in May, an increase from 4.9% (4.08 million) year-over-year.
About 1.28% (1.05 million) of homeowners feared foreclosure was imminent in the next two months, up from 1.07% (884,000) year-over-year.

This is so valuable! I just don’t see how this ends well for the economy. 2026 looks to be bad if not sooner. People will walk away. When you get punched in the face financially it’s hard to face it, and the longer it takes to face it, the worst it gets. The more you pretend it’s not happening until you can’t pretend anymore.

Big fan!! People make decisions based on speculations, let them pay the price!! If you can’t make that payment for 30 years regardless of what happens don’t buy the house!date the rate, how is that working for you!

What are certified funds? How will you know what the final bid is to have enough funds? Goodness, you win the bid and you are responsible for any squatters? That is a big headache and gamble.

12:48 "Housing survey," sounds to me like the lenders are required to report default payments to the higher ups because like you said, nobody has asked you anything. I mean how else will JP keep count and know that his pain "tools" are working?! Everything we do is being tracked in one way or another. Sickening!

Those people who actually "date the rate" might be the ones that would go to forced. They probably didn't had the money or the savings to pay a high mortgage for this long.
