@sardarcantu7960 Punjabis (like myself) also eat rice with spoon. Our staple food is wheat, probably that's why we mostly eat Roti, Naan, parantha. I guess we eat rice with spoon, as we eat it selectively or maybe it's just in our culture.
Well some Roma does like this family that we see here they eat with their hands mostly things like rice and stuff .. but not all Roma .. but some yes ..
But in Roma and Sinti culture the females are expected to be that way...not very forward...I was raised to not speak to strangers which even today at 71 still am very reserved.
I think it depends as in every culture- some are shy, some can be completely shameless haha. About women treatment among Roma, I'd say also depends but generally (at least from my relatives that I noticed)- the Woman (or the Wife) is basically like a second Mother meaning that she takes care of the husband, washes his clothes and etc. I remember a relative of mine asked me if I want to get married when I was a bit more little, I said no and he like : "Then who is going to wash your socks?" I said I mean, I can do it myself haha. I tried to speak with Indian students from my country also with some girls, they were shy but still spoke to me, and I felt maybe I shouldn't have spoken to them cuz maybe I made them uncomfortable, but I guess makes sense it's weird when a stranger just starts to talk to you hah, I saw once a guy, he looked almost exactly like a relative of mine haha
