Dear YGW team, thanks for this insightful episode 🙌. I totally agree that Singaporeans have an envious and even jealous mentality towards other Singaporeans who do better. Having family members and colleagues who behave like this has made me realise that when such mentalities are not changed for the better, it really becomes a toxic part of the person, and it will also become a bad habit which can be very difficult to correct as time goes by. So for myself, I now manage such people by being aware that they might have some empty voids or trauma in their lives that they have not addressed, that's why they are hating on others who are doing better than them. And what I've learnt from these types of people is, not to waste my time and energy hating on others, but by learning how to be as good as other outstanding individuals, and understanding the challenging process it took them to arrive at their destination. Life is short and fragile, so why not be the best, most positive versions our ourselves so that we can inspire the next generation with good values, right? Cheers! 😘🤗🌟
Love the candidness in this conversation! The critiques you guys offered were thought provoking and really show a lot about the nature of our society and culture!
im american n i was rooting for max to atleast win a medal on the kite surfing or whatever its called... im glad he got a medal!! he got a great feature ahead of him being 17 years old 🥉
Never understood why Singaporeans love to hate our local talents. I believe it is largely due to the anonymity that fuels the hate comments. If we ever tie social media account to the real identity, people will think twice about what they say.
Agreed about the hateful and envious mentally of Singaporeans. This has been really apparent since the pandemic where people got bored and started making empty accounts and unleash their true vapid selves in the comment sections, regardless of the topic of the content. And I used to think these were just boomers but it seems like a lot of them are from the younger gen too. Quite sad honestly.
I wonder how the hosts answered to Sonia's question about whether they've been asked to "just be themselves" on a show. Legit curious to know 😊 Also this ep was a bangerrr 🎉
truth and only truth in this episode. if got nothing nice to say, just scroll off. i really hate those "nobody ask for this" type of comments but sometimes I just think of that 5 seconds they spent of their life typing that comment that can be used to do better things, lol
Im gonna defend thing like good comment on one and bad on the other, thing is unless u are tracking their usernames and ensuring its the exact same person, we need to stop saying make up your mind, fact is its 2 different people with 2 different perspective, its more than likely not the same person
