Going over and giving my thoughts on where Space Wolves stand after all the Balance Dataslate, MFM, and Pariah Nexus updates #warhammer40k #pariahnexus #spacewolves #championsofruss
Loving Champions of Russ. Im a returning player and Im loving the new detachment. Ive been finding the 6+ fnp off the batt is actually really nice for TWC as another layer of protection making them even more of a tarpit. Bjorn is awesome as well for completing sagas. PS awesome to have a Wolves creator around! keep em coming
Great review, thanks. I have been doing some COR games now. I really love it! My experience - a couple of comments: - 9/10 of games I would chose Saga of the Bear. It makes the army so much more tanky. E.g. 6 thunderwolves will actually turn to 7 (roughly). Furthermore, it is hard to achieve that saga (unless you really want to risk ending with 1,2 or 3 wounds with Bjorn - I wont take that risk). The only game I chose not to start with that saga was against World Eaters and I chose Lethal Hits. - Go for armies where it is possible to win the sagas. E.g. I have been going with Grimnar (full rerolls and charges once pr. battle is a must) and Wulfterminators. With Oath, Go for the Throat on Angron they slaughered him. Potential to get two sagas there. Another example coule be Njal and 5 terminators with saga of the Bear. They could focus on taking the enemy objective with rapid ingress. - Murderfang seems good to bring, he is really squishy but if you can deliver him/screen him, he hits like a truck and just the potential for him to fight back frightens the enemy. So he can also be used as a fear factor. - I foresee Assault intercessors and blood Claws in future lists due to battleline-buff. Lastly; I have too played Wolf Cages in a couple of tournaments and... I find it boring now... COR can be played in many ways and I look forward to a lot of games and different lists.
Got back into 40k recently. Last played in 2nd edition. Started a Space Wolves army and have zero regrets. Ragnar is a blender and I love a Bjorn, Murderfang and Wulfen Dread combo. Haven't played a game since the update but looking forward to finally trying COR
I don't know if it's a new thing or not, but if a librarian's hazardous psychic attack backfires it counts as psychic damage. Not sure if all libras have the fnp against psychic damage only if they lead a unit, but that can make it impossible to go down with hazardous damage below half hp
I'm doing my first space Wolf intent edition next week. Have it built right now for Storm Lance. One big pack of thunder wolves, a smaller pack of thunder wolves unit of blood claws unit of great hunters, our gunship, for characters got a wolf leader, canis, krom, And Ragnar. Open to any suggestions
When you say wolf leader do you mean Battler Leader or Lord? If you have the point i would put both in the big Wolf squad. Ragnar runs best with Bladeguard I find. I love Canis. Not sure about Krom if you were running him with Bloodclaws maybe swap for Lukas.
@@almostfunctional40k Yes, it's the wolfguard battle leader. It's a 1200-point game. Definitely want to get some blade guard And customize some axes. Krom is going in with the blood claws. I guess I could proxy him out with Lucas. Thought he would be a good fit because of the plus ones he gives as the unit falls below starting a strength
Yes I am going to go into all our datasheets soon. I really like Bladeguard personally. The change to Impulsors and Repulsors transport capacity is great for Bladeguard with Characters
