If Tengen ends up being Sukuna's mom that would actually hit way too different. The Itadori family tree would be looking like a straight line going miles into the air
with a loop, very big loop, when the son of Tengen gets reincarnated within family and has a son... that will kill a twin of this son. And add up on top of that, that twins are seen by universe as a one being, existence, even person. And add on top of all that chaos a theory that Kenjaku might be Sukuna's father. If this is true, he did incest with his own son thousand of years later. Right now try to not go insane with all of this
Considering that Jin valued Yuji over his own life, it's possible that Sukuna's twin sacrificed themselves for him to grant him the strength to survive and become the strongest. Which would make Sukuna's whole world view wrong because selflessness was what gave him his head start.
I feel like Kenjaku believed that Tengen was trying to emulate Sukuna when he saw her form. She also seems to have had his body mummified and kept it safe. So what is the connection? My theory is that Tengen was Sukuna's teacher and admires his strength and dedication to jujutsu. Tengen advocated helping jujutsu sorcerers and humanity in general and Sukuna turned his back on her and jujutsu society and went his own way. Tengen = the teacher Kenjaku = the scientist Sukuna = the prodigy Tengen also might in some ways admire Sukuna's selfishness, as she has spent much of her life underground while holding up barriers (presumably) to the benefit of mankind while he lives entirely for himself.
I think via different processes tengen and Sukuna are becoming similar beings. Tengen is slowly becoming a curse being because of her technique, and Sukuna having been partially transformed into such a being after absorbing and killing his twin in the womb. They're related not because they're family, but because the same thing is slowly happening to them.
What if Sukuna isn't finished evolving? One cannot evolve without first being put in a situation that forces them to. Perhaps the crew repeatedly jumping him is the last push he needs.
I've always assumed she was related to the Gojo clan, but the vessels for her are from outside of the clan so maybe, it would explain Sukuna’s potential and power.
Maybe tengen, kenjaku and sukuna is like the trio of gojo, geto and shoko; kenjaku being in getos body, and yuji being the parallel og gojo and being family with sukuna

@@Sienisota I've always thought Tengen and Kenjaku created Sukuna as an experiment together, with Tengen being Sukuna's biological mother in a similar way to Kenjaku being Yuji's mother. Sukuna eats Jin and this results in him becoming even stronger than intended, becoming the first successful experiment Kenjaku ever has. So Kenjaku and Tengen are technically Sukuna's parents, and also Kenjaku is Yuji's mother-- Wait, that's fucked up.
The prison realm monk's name Genshin translates to "original god", maybe there was some usurption of replacing him with Tengen. Tengen and Kenjaku both had pieces of that taboo cursed object that taught Kenny about cursed objects and Tengen about a new type of barrier "realms." Sukuna knew how to create one to suppress Megumi. However, Kenny had no clue about the bath ritual.
I think that another thing to consider in Tengen being Sukuna's mother theory is the fact that during her pregnancy she was starving (which led Sukuna to eat his twin), and she might have survived only because of her CT. This requires specific timing, as it would have to take place by the end of pregnancy, otherwise Sukuna would die of starvation anyway. Sukuna's act of cannibalism had to take place in latter part of pregnancy (due to the fact that both twins had to be developed in order for one being able to eat the other), so it might make sense, but it's not 100% confirmed. Of course there is posibility that they are not related, the mother was ordinary human and she was starving for some time and then got access to food again.

I mean, the more you look at it, all the strongest characters were distantly related (Gojo and Yuta, the 3 clans, heck even Yuji through soul and Kenjaku). So it could be a situation where all of them are related to first person that could use cursed energy. Naruto had that, and Gege takes a lot of inspiration. It is even established that curses and humans can breed in extraordinary situations. Could be there is some half breed ancestor.
I have a theory what if both sukuna and jin had heavenly restrictions, one with a heavenly restriction like mechamaru's and one like toji and maki's, then when sukuna ate jin he gained the other heavenly restriction which explains why he has so much curse energy and a prowess like toji and maki
Theory: Kenjaku is Sukuna's father and Tengen is Sukuna's mother. Add on top of that a fact that twins are the same being. This means Kenjaku banged his own son thousand of years later and transformed his wife in a sort of fetus/cursed object. Might also add one really interesting observation: Kenjaku is all in evolution things, he want to push CE to another step of evolution. While Tengen's technique is... EVOLUTION! You mentioned Tengen sacrificing themself for Japan's barriers as recompense... but aren't their barriers fucking up Japan? (Like; pre-Demon Infested Shinjuku) I thought their barriers were concentrating CE in such a way everyone became more powerful, alongside spirits. And if they hadn't intervened, yes the world would have more spirits outside Japan, but they would be diluted - less powerful - less inclined to form factions as they did alongside Kenjaku in Shibuya, just as there would be less exceptionally powerful sorcerers, leading to less bad actors. At least following *this* logic, I see Tengen more as a scientist - thyey created the Japan case study of CE to explore what this much potent CE can do to a country.
It's really hard to say, I think Tengen's motives are largely a mystery and for all we know her motives weren't pure at all, but in any case I don't think it's fair to say they were only fucking up Japan, obviously it had a lot of Cursed Spirits popping up, but its also responsible for all the sorcerers. So I think the implication we're supposed to walk away with right now is a 'greater good' type of thing. So Tengen locking herself away and just maintaining all of Jujutsu Society is a public service. BUT for all we know that might not be true. I think the scientist comparison is really apt. Since Tengen got absorbed by kenjaku doesn't that mean she no longer maintains the barrier across Japan? If so, then do curses start appearing in the other part of the world now? Or am I misinterpreting something?
I think tengen was in on it to break fate, because she might not want to love forever or maybe another reason so she worked with kenjaku to break fate. She could also be sukuna’s mother she didn’t want to get birth to him so she tried to starve em, her being so strong and feeling so strong is the reason for a first heavily restriction. But since it wasn’t complete it become the blueprint for heavily restriction for kenjaku but to replicate it, it would take 1000’s of years
I've already debunked this a long time ago. Kenjaku told Tengen that she reminds him of Sukuna rather than the other way around implying that Sukuna had the appearance before her (hence unlikely that they are related) not only this but with the way that Sukuna, Uraume and Kenjaku interact with each other - Kenjaku asks them too many questions as if they don't really know much about them, this is interesting to me because there's a possibility that while they may be friends, they may not be related (or in fact may not be friends at all but instead business partners) the way Kenjaku interacts with Tengen however is an indication of familiarity, Kenjaku and Tengen talks as if they really know each other while Sukuna and Kenjaku talks as if they are just partners, nothing personal, nothing more nothing less. I also have a theory that Kenjaku may actually be a female which is why Uraume doesn't trust them so much (in addition to the fact that they aren't close to Sukuna) it could be an indication that Uraume met Sukuna before Kenjaku did, unless they knew each other before and Uraume just didn't know about it until later (adopted parent potentially) Now I've seen theories that perhaps Kenjaku is Sukuna's mother or whatever but that too will get debunked now. If Kenjaku was supposedly the mother of Sukuna, they would know at that point how to create Sukuna, they would control the bloodline at that point but the fact they had to change into a different body to try recreating a cage basically implies that they had nothing to do with Sukuna. Now while Tengen and Sukuna aren't related - they did go through similar processes e.g. absorption of person or lack of in order for a shape to occur - in addition to their evolutionary advances in Jujutsu. They are all mostly business partners of sorts but I highly doubt any of them are related. Now back to the adopted mother case, it could be possible that Kenjaku seen that ugly baby (since no one wanted it) and decided to keep it just because they were interested in why it was the way it was but then again if that was the case, Sukuna probably wouldn't have stated that they were abandoned (because technically they would have had parental support) but I'd lean with the possibility of Kenjaku being an adopted mother/or just parent rather than a biological mother/parent (or any sort of parent that's supposedly connected to Sukuna) Anyway we know how Uraume acts towards strangers but I have a feeling Uraume may really despise females more than males when it comes to Sukuna. Hence, their attitude with Kenjaku. A possibility.
To your first point, Sukuna would have looked that way first, because Tengen looks like this for the first time after having missed the merger. Tengen would have looked like a normal human previously.
@@ManganimistYT to counter your argument, if Sukuna was supposedly abandoned (most likely due to their appearance) then it's unlikely that the same mother would want to keep his body stored. If Tengen is supposed to be the mother (I don't know how else they would be related) then if they abandoned him, it's unlikely she would just want him again. And then this brings me to what I mentioned about the way they interact with each other - Kenjaku and Tengen acts like friends, Sukuna and Kenjaku act like business partners. Tengen doesn't speak much of or interacts with Sukuna and vice versa to Sukuna for Tengen. They both went through a process of evolution though (which may be a reason why his body is there) it's more likely possible that Sukuna and Tengen are a reason why the barriers are the way that they are or why society is the way that it is but highly doubt they are related. There's been more indication that they are all partners rather than related. Now perhaps it's possible that Sukuna's mother was related to Tengen or maybe distant relatives but even that wouldn't make sense because their body changed shapes due to two different reasons rather than the same reasons (indicting that the changes were simply due to circumstances rather than because of genes) I don't know about you but to me it wouldn't make sense at all for them to be related. Not even Angel mentioned or hinted at anything regarding such.

It is implied it’s a binding vow. Because Kenjaku tells Sukuna that he(Sukuna) has to keep his promise to him(Kenjaku). And in JJK ppl don’t just make promises, they make it with a binding vow so the other party won’t break it.

But his souls just moved on like when a person dies. It is explained in the manga that Kenjaku tracked the souls reincarnation. He didn’t have the soul or get it from Sukuna, he just kept looking for the reincarnation of Sukuna’s twins soul and found it has reincarnated in Jin. He didn’t directly cause it to reincarnate. You can say souls reincarnate after sometime in the JJK verse.

Tengen is the twin that had the power of immortality while her sister had children(Sukuna and his brother) and was the original star Plasma vessel. Part 1 for JoJo imo actually isnt the worst part. That would go to part 3 for me. Pacing is bad for JoJo and it can be really boring at some points. But its not bad.
