Now I'm not saying Sukuna cannot use SD, Sukuna has shown more than enough times that with just one viewing of a technique, he can mimic them so long as he can feasibly achieve it. But trying to use SD against UV would just be so risky especially since the moment it falls, he would be consumed by the knowledge. But outside of the inherent danger, the other two possibilities would be a) Mahoraga, and b) Malevolent Shrine. The former reason has to do with Sukuna wanting Mahoraga to adapt as we have all seen, but for the second it's just simply because why use SD when he knows Malevolent Shrine is all he would need?

Ok so about this, from ch 229 and 230. Except sukuna or Megumi, the sure hits inside the domains cancelled each other out everywhere. UV sure hit targetted or emerged from gojo in his domain so it was there to cancell the sure hit of MS that was targetting him thus shielded him. However as ch 230 says, sukuna's sure hit was not there targetting either sukuna or megumi's soul, thus there was no sure hit from sukuna's side to cancel out UV sure hit targetting either him or Megumi. Thus in every clash he was able to make Megumi's soul take the hit of the UV and hence go through the burden of adaptation. The reason I say "sukuna OR Megumi" is bcz I am not sure whether it was sukuna who didn't have the MS sure hit to shield him thus he made transferred the attack of UV somehow to megumi's soul. Or whether it was Megumi soul who didn't have MS sure hit surrounding him thus as a result UV Sure hit was hitting him every time. And the reason I have this doubt is bcz of translation differences.

I get it now, Sukuna's sure-hit didn't target himself and by extension, Megumi's soul and hence there wasn't any MS to negate UV's sure-hit. Sukuna's soul was safe as he was caster of MS. Thnx😊👍

Well. Based off of these domain clashes and the explanation of Sukuna's ""furnace" we can assume that would of been his method to beating Gojo. Similar to how he beat Maho. Activating a flame arrow after beating Gojo in a domain clash, while Gojo is on cooldown. Maybe Gojo could use simple domain in time to resist the arrows.

Gojo popped 5 DE, and from all those DE, sukuna had megumi taking UV and adapting to it, Hence why once Gojo popped his 5 DE Maho came out since he was already adapated thanks to Megumi

He was prepared to pop maho in the face with a red before maho could destroy his domain

@@MHAAAAANZnot really, Sukuna gave advantage to Gojo when he switched the conditions. Gojo said if Sukuna destroyed the Domain from the inside he would’ve won. (Since the outside barrier was hardened , the inside was weak) Sukuna cancel the sure hit effect to adapt to UV, that’s why he only focused to attack the outside. Thus why Maho destroyed it with a single attack. If he didn’t had Maho or Megumi’s body he would have won every single Domain Clsh since there would be no need for him to take a riskier path.

You can say Mahoraga had been summoned the whole time because Sukuna was using the wheel on megumi. And when Sukuna got smacked by Unlimited Void, Mayorga who had adapted to Unlimited Void jumped out of the shadows to destroy the domain.

Tbf if Sukuna didnt have Mahoraga it would be much harder for him to deal a finishing blow. I think in the end the fight wouldnt be that much different, only that both Gojo and Sukuna would rationalize the use of their domains for the long-term fight

@@vrbe3694 Dealing the finishing blow would have been quite hard. But because Sukuna would keep winning the domain clashes, he would have a massive advantage. Gojo's CE reserves would drop over time because of RCT and Sukuna would fight more aggressively. Instead of the way Sukuna fought defensively in the actual fight to get hit a lot and make Maho adapt. So, it would be a battle of attrition. Sukuna would eventually win because of the DE. It would end with Gojo's brain getting fried because of constantly refreshing his brain, like how it was about to end before Sukuna got brain damage from UV. Except this time, he doesn't get hit by UV, so he doesn't have brain damage. So Sukuna wins.

@@Solikap I do agree on the general idea, but reducing a battle like this to just pure attrition is difficult. Both sorcerers are extremely powerful and adaptable, just because the conditions are changed like this, it does not mean that it would be a certain victory for Sukuna.

Blossom attacks the sure hit of a domain the moment it makes contact, Simple domain neutralizes the domain effect by making your own smaller domain. Difference is really one is more compact than the other

It works by establishing your own space that's not occupied by the opponent's domain, and therefore, untouchable by the domain. Falling Blossom Emotion strikes the sure-hit to deflect the attack once it hits. Due to its nature, it only has an effect against physical attacks like Sukuna's slashes or Dagon's fish. It would have no effect against Unlimited Void. The old Projection Sorcery Zen'in dude in the Shibuya Incident used it to counter Dagon's domain. I believe in the anime, it was animated as the cursed energy enveloping him would spike out and hit a fish the second it hit Zen'in. Essentially, Simple Domain cancels the sure-hit, but is very weak to the domain and can get destroyed easily, but Falling Blossom Emotion responds and only takes effect after the domain's sure-hit hits you, but it can't be destroyed by the enemy's domain. I would compare FBE to enveloping yourself in Domain Amplification, like Sukuna did, but the effects are slightly different. FBE senses the attack and automatically responds by either destroying it (Dagon's fish) or deflecting it (Sukuna's slashes). Domain Amplification weakens the technique you're being hit with (only outside of domains) by partially negating the technique. Domain Amplification would NOT work as a domain counter because sure-hit effects appear on your body and there's no travel distance, so the technique from the sure-hit wouldn't pass through your field of DA and get weakened.

Because Sukuna was using ten shadows inside the domain by having Megumi's soul adapt to unlimited void for Mahoraga. If he is using another cursed technique, he cannot use his himself. He can only do it by imbuing it in his domain. Besides, it has been said in the manga that the boundaries of a domain are extremely difficult to find. Sukuna would have to focus to find the boundaries and also actively uses his cursed technique himself since the sure hit effect inside the domain is cancelled out. This is almost impossible to do while Gojo is harassing him. If he doesn't pay attention to Gojo inside the domain, he receive fatal damage.

Domain amplification isnt DE counter,its more like CT counter,and Sukuna was touching Gojo to not get hit by Infinite Void at all,because Infinite knowledge will stun him and in battle against satoru gojo its a death sentance

it is a domain counter but the output is not enough to stop the sure hit. remember DA couldn't stoped red completely and hurt Sukuna.

Spoilers? For the first question , it’s because sukuna is using megumi’s body , hence the “Let megumi adapt to UV” so I believe it to be that sukuna is redirecting the effects of UV to megumi because the 10 shadows technique is engrained on Megumi not sukuna

Basically the sure hit of both is something like this: Gojo: My UV will attack everyone except me and whoever I touch Sukuna: My MS will attack everyone and everything except me That's the rules of their sure hit attacks, but Sukuna take a little adventage from his, since he is in the body of Megumi, tecnically Megumi doesn't count as him in the Domain Rules, the soul of Megumi doesn't count as Sukuna's, this means that the Sure Hit don't protect him from UV, and that way he can adapt with the wheel, Sukuna understands the soul and can use that way the wheel

But I notice in the battle some inconsistency, why Sukuna didn't break with dismantles the Barrier from the Inside, I mean yes he is adapting because of UV but Mahoraga would finished the adaptation sooner or later, and Gojo would have lost more earlier, that is how you notice Sukuna had the upper hand all the time, Open Barriers will always be superior to normal domains, and other thing I don't understand is that stupid rule of UV that says that whoever Gojo is touching don't get affected, I get it in the case of that time he showed Yuji, but in a battle with Sukuna? Sorry for the long reply, however... the anime's fight cannot be compared to when talking about the manga. The entire episode of Sukuna v Mahoraga was *full* of artistic liberties simply to make it more exciting and cool for watchers. This happens all the time in adaptations, so it's not a bad thing, but it can skew people's understanding of the powerscales. The anime's example needs to be discarded to make your point. Now if we only talk about the manga, I couldn't find anywhere where it says that malevolent shrine attacks literally "thousands" of times per second. It is simply said to "attack relentlessly" using slashes and then we get to see its effects through still drawings, our reference-points to the domain's true attack rates are rather minimal. However, I would like to point out that even in the Sukuna v Mahoraga fight, the panel shows that mahoraga isn't being turned to dust, just slashed over and over again. And as much as I would agree with you, we don't know if the domain's slashes do actually go all the way through Gojo at all times. Similarly to how Todo was able to concentrate his cursed energy to fend against Mahito's black flash, Gojo could be doing the same to make the slashes shallower than they would be on anyone without such ability. Remember that Todo's defense was able to minimize the effects of a damn *black flash*, the literal one in a million critical hit of the jjk world. So then. I do get where you're coming from, but the fact is that we don't quite know just *how* powerful RCT at Gojo's level is other than it being strong enough to completely heal a cut-off hand in what seems to be a mere moment. If we take all of these things into account, it's not a huge leap to say that Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of the modern age, would be able to just about keep up with Sukuna's domain (and even then to heal completely he did actually need to use a simple domain so it's not like he was completely unaffected). And of course there is the last and most important aspect to remember: Suspension of disbelief. Mangakas like Gege are here to create fun stories filled with cool fights and suspenseful action, and sometimes that means that some powers are made to look a little stronger in one fight and a little less so in another to set the scene and pressure. As long as what happens in the story is feasible in the rules of the world they created, then suspension of disbelief should be enough to make the story work. Personally I can totally believe that Gojo is able to do what he did against Sukuna, and can find the reasons as to why the fight went how it did. The story has set up enough information to explain everything.

Gojo is always using rct

He was reinforcing himself with cursed energy to protect himself. But even when he was trying his very best to defend, the slashes were still too strong. So, they still cut him. And he had to use RCT to heal the damage that got through the reinforcement. Think of CE reinforcement as armor and think of RCT as recovering health. Sukuna does more damage than Gojo's strongest armor, so the damage that goes through the armor is diverted to the HP bar. And Gojo heals himself with RCT to make up for his poor defense. Remember that Gojo is specifically focusing on his defense here.

You are *heavily* underestimating Gojo's durability. It's a common misconception that he's just a regular guy without his Infinity, but his cursed energy makes him one of the toughest in the verse.

Nothing would happen they’re still skilled with cursed energy. And ctr uses positive energy so kenjaku gravity or gojo red still hurts. So it’s very possible to kill one with positive energy and not heal them.

Sukuna wasn't immune to UV, only Mahoraga. When he turned off his sure-hit, he wasn't affected by UV because he was touching Gojo the whole time

That's why after using the domain you can't use your domain expansion. While using domain expansion you can't use your technique. It even applies for simple domain. It literally says domain Amplification. You are using your domain to surround yourself. How can you use Domain Amplification if your domain itself is active?

So when you use DA, you can't use your curse technique, but Sukuna wasn't. Technically his domain was using Cleave/Dismantle, not him, so Sukuna was free to use DA. However, when he started using Ten Shadows to adapt to Unlimited Void, he had to switch off DA, so he was juggling it during those parts

@@samarendra109 Well Domain amplification only makes you unable to use your cursed technique. Meaning a technique imbued to the domain expansion already wouldn't stop. Also, Sukuna doesn't have a barrier on his domain, meaning the rules of normal domains doesn't matter. Think of it like this, he both creates a domain without a barrier then a domain barrier around himself without a technique

The sure hit inside of domains are instantaneous once turned on. Any attack that has to travel won’t hit Gojo, but if it’s instantaneous, that means it doesn’t need to travel and will just instantly hit Gojo.

Sukuna wasnt in it for .01 seconds .He was in it for almost ten seconds . The difference between Gojos last domain and Sukunas last domain being opened was .01 seconds not the time he was in it.

There is a distinction, UV is said to target everything except Gojo and the one he is touching but unlike Gojo, Dagon can decide who he wants to hit....... Plus MS decides to attack everything except Sukuna so it canceled out the sure hit of UV that tries to attack Sukuna, its like UV says I will attack Sukuna but MS says no you can't, since both are equally refined domains the sure hit comes to a compromise that neither Gojo nor Sukuna will be attacked.... But nothing prevents Megumi from that, since MS sure hit is a physical attack it won't be able to hurt him but the mental attack of UV did.....

@@darren9678 I used to think that as well but I think this is what Gege intended it to be: In a domain expansion the technique is manifested within every single point in space within the barrier, so the attack will definitely hit you because it can spawn from right beside you, but to hit the target the technique needs to know where the target is, so barriers give the location of the target while the CT manifested within the space attacks the target

domain amplifictaion only affects ct, domain expansions are entirely different thing from ct
