I've done them before, you're right, they need to be wrapped or they come out a little tough. Not bad to throw on while you got something else on the pit but almost a waste to do them solo. Looked good Scotty!
I have tried something like that from Wal-Mart. Not sure if it was the same brand. We actually tried them twice, but with really bad results. Mine were basically like dog toys.
I've been meaning to try that rub - it's one of only a few on Canadian grocery store shelves. Do you think 225F or 250F smoker temp for 4+ hours would have made them more tender without wrapping them? - Cheers!
Well Scotty you live and learn...probably of you braised them after you got enough smoke on them they might of gotten tender anyways with that price who knows lol 😂.
Every time I watch your videos my non existent bank account gets raped. 1st time new grates for my Lexington, then Uncle Steve’s magic ribs, then pecan pellets, now I have to buy Hard Core Carnivore. Thanx! Beef back ribs always a little tough, it’s the cut and placement on the cow. I don’t mind, it’s like prime rib on a short stick.
