Any Cowboys fans who are unhappy with three 12 win seasons, instead of the up and down disasters that were Jason Garrett or the absolute nightmare seasons that followed Jimmy, sans two seaons of Switzer... are out of their minds. I lived through that nightmare and never want to do that again. It was not worth the DECADE it took to be barely okay. The Romo era the Cowboys were up and down. The Dak Era we have been a very good football team. If we go 12-5 and a Divisional round loss again, bring back McCarthy. Give the man 5 years at least. That's what teams used to do. You know, sustained excellence. Let's give that a chance.

I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE. Holy smokes, just four years ago we would have understood that just getting to a place where we are consistently good in the mix would be a HUGE step. Now, just like that, being consistently takes too long. I was just as pissed as everybody else at the way the seasons ended the past three years. But build on what you've got rather than scrap it. This fanbase is as frustrating as the goddamn team.

I second that statement. The Cowboys are at a point, some adjustments must be made. Personnel, coaching and management has to be improved. Just having winning seasons is not enough. The window of opportunity only lasts a few years, and I that window has closed. Rebuild is underway. @FreddyMacT 0:11

I would not be shocked if lamb and Parsons are both traded and dak walks after the year the cowboys want to clean up their cap and players on rookie contracts are way cheaper they just better get multiple first round picks for them

I agree 100 percent. I would go a step further. I would actually bench Dak. Pay him to sit and see what Lance has. Honestly not sold on him either but the worse we do the better draft picks we will get and we also need to see if he has anything. Dak might be willing to wave his no trade clause if he is riding the bench. It shows the world we really do t believe in him and the longer he sat the worse it would be for his financial future so he just might wave that no trade clause. Get what you can for Parsons who is not worth $35 million a year because he is the defensive version of Dak. Doesn’t show up in the post season

I would take a Mike Verbal HC/ Sheduer Sanders QB combination for 2025. Deion has already dropped the names of teams he wants his son to play on. The Headline "Primetime Son Goes to Dallas," is too big for Jerry to pass on. I would also like Deion to Coach the team, but Jerry wouldn't let him do things the way he would to get the most out of guys. So I'm good with Vrebral!

Why not just let Lamb, Parsons, Dak, Diggs & Bland go and get the draft capital to get some guys who don't choke? Dak didn't lose anything by himself. If you think it's a mindset thing, why keep any of them? I think we should keep all of them if we can but let's committ to the bit if we are talking about rebuilding a team from the ground up.

Trade CeeDee and Micah for four first round picks and get a 3rd round comp for Dak. Have Jerry coaching the team in 2025 so it’s a tank-a-thon season like Jimmy did in ‘89. Then in 2026 hire the OC for the Lions (Johnson?) as HC and promote Whitt to DC. Problem solved!

They should rebuild. They don’t have much depth and aren’t good enough to be paying Dak 55M+, Parsons 35M+ and Lamb 30M+. Diggs + Martin eating too. I’d rather see them make some trades, dump Dak, get younger, see what they have with Lance, and draft accordingly

Lance😂 2947 pass yards in 3 college seasons. Think the overwhelming majority of the league figured Trey out . Just draft a QB with college production if they're moving on, I'd rather them sign a bridge guy who actually has NFL reps than turn this team over to Trey.

Trey is a top 3 pick that has 4 starts and went 2-2. Please tell me how the league figured him out in 4 games 🥴 You can’t tell me he’s trash. Jemarcus Russell was way worse and he got 30+ starts to prove it. Quit being silly. Taking a shot on a top 3 pick with 4 starts is infinitely better than going with a bridge QB that we know won’t be around long. WTF man 🤦‍♂️

A simple Google search will tell you that Trevor Lawrence also drafted in 2021 had stats all 3 seasons 10, 098 pass yards , Zach Wilson also drafted 2021 had all 3 seasons 7,652 pass yrds. Trey in 3, 2,947 pass yards. Dude used Covid as an excuse but all three have stats from 2018, 2019, and 2020🤣 Top 3 pick who 9ers gave up 3 X 1st a 3rd just to trade year 3 for a 4th, the definition of a BUST. Your 3rd pick has avg 199 passing yards per season year 4, Pathetic 😭😭😭Jamarcus Russel 3 yrs college 6,625 pass yards. Treys not trash just one of the all time 1st rd QB BUST. Guys need to address the elephant in the room. For once the Cowboys need to trade away their assets they can't afford to resign. Ex. Trade Parsons for a 1st and a 3rd. This is very reasonable expectation. Now you have 2 first rounders to go move up and draft a QB.

If we want to "rebuild" let's just trade Parsons, Dak, Lamb next year. Cut Tank and send say Bland & Diggs up for sale and have an incredible draft. Then we can get a first year, fresh coach and a rookie QB, sign some big free agents and treat this thing like we're the NBA. Every two or three years we'll just treat team the team like a buy low, sell high situation. That there would be all in. That feels like the "right direction" for all in, rebuild isn't it? Query, how do you know when you are "rebuilt", what does that look like?

The Cowboys need a Defense that doesnt give up 30pts in the playoffs. QBs records in the playoffs is like .200 wheren their teams give up 30 or more pts, that includes all time greats brady, manning ect. I am losing all respect for absurd RU-vidrs pushing this rebuild non sense. How do you explain a rebuild when you have the runner up for the MVP entering his prime, you have 2 all pro CB's, one of the 3 best defenders in the league and a top 5 receiver. This is the best take I have read here. I have reached the point where I am suggesting: (Let's trade all three, Diggs & Bland and fire McCarthy so we can truly rebuild.
