Word. Parsons hasnt even been the best on his position in every of the 3 seasons he played in the nfl so why would someone use "generational" for him. Given he is top 3 but the fact you sy top 3 and not "the best" already tells you that there are players who perform better. If you use generational for him you better use it for the others as well. That being said, comparing stats is always tricky because for example if you co pare pressure rate or sacks there is a huge difference consideri g who you face. Id argue a guy who faces the 2023 giants and commanders oline twice each should probably perform better than someone in a more stacked division

The only "Cowboys fans" that buy into what Jerry talks about are the casuals that watch like ¼ of a game every year, and the "Fans" that get paid to talk about the cowboys and pretend to be fans. Also Jerry talks up a good one but the blame isn't all on Jerry, it's also on his son Cap Boy Stephen Jones who's being doing most of the FA signings and Contract negotiations. Obviously Jerry has final say on everything though. I don't know if we'll ever win a SB under Jerry or Stephen in the 21st century 😢

As a Cowboys fan, focus on signing Dak first. Yes he failed to get us passed the 1st round a few times. However, our record each season and making the playoffs, let alone win the East tells me Dak wasn't the only issue. I mean against Green Bay everyone on the Cowboys didn't play with heart. Pay Lamb before Dak and Parsons. Lamb is more consistent in big games than both of them. We seen Dak lead Dallas back then the Defense can’t stop the run or anything when it comes to great teams. We seen Dak turn the ball over multiple times in crucial times to win games.

He literally played two seasons with Amari Cooper his rookie season and the next when he got 1100 yards and they let him go when Micheal Gallup was coming along, so idk what u mean by keeping him for so long and for the next two years he was top four in receiving yards while being doubled every play. Of course they are going to question it if he was not drafted as such, and the last two years he had more yards than Amari Cooper. He is an exceptional route runner, and is constantly open to be “force fed the ball.” He has been top five the past two seasons in yards. That is why they are calling him a top five receiver.

I don't know why the discussions lump these three players together when in fact it's really not the case. Dak's contract up 1st then Lamb then Parsons. I don't believe the front office judged the quarterback position correctly because it's really fluid and leaps on an upward trajectory. For this reason they needed to sign Dak sooner than later or at least started talks earlier than now...

If Dal is prioritizing Dak, then why didn't they sign him before Trevor Lawrence got 55 million a year? Why wait and let the price go up with each signing?

Failures a strong word. I think hes definitively a top 10 quarterback I don't think there are legitimately 10 qbs you'd take before dad.

There are not 7 or 8 better QBs on the planet. It doesn’t matter that he has no SB yet. Out of the 32 QBs in the league right now only a couple have Super Bowl appearances much less wins

But what about Mathew Stafford, it took him time to win, it only takes 1 good run in the playoffs. Everyone cries that Aaron Rogers only has 1 Super Bowl. Meaning, he had that 1 special playoff run. I honestly think Dak is capable of having a run to the Superbowl. That’s why you have to pay him. GOAT Brady and Patty have spoiled us into thinking it’s easy to win Superbowls, it’s not. I’m a Vikings/Ravens fan(I’m a Vikings fan 1st). Do you know how happy I would be as a SKOL fan to have a QB that I know for sure is going to take me to the playoffs year in and year out? No question Dak hasn’t delivered in the postseason, but I kinda feel like people are talking about him as if he’s Zach Wilson or Mac Jones. Dak Prescott is a bonafide franchise quarterback and he deserves market value. I just think they need to slow down on the quarterback salaries in general. Trevor Lawrence shouldn’t make more money than Jard Goff. Justin Herbert shouldn’t make more than Dak Prescott. If we’re talking about Postseason wins, then Baker Mayfield is grossly underpaid. I think we should let these guys careers play out then judge accordingly. But regular season performances should count for something

failure? u need to stop doing drugs, dak was a 4th round pick and was probably drafted to be a backup for his career, after what he did and exceeded expectations from a 4th rounder now he's a failure to u cus he couldn't win a super bowl. dude GTFOH. last i check 4 qbs won SB last 9 years.

Dallas is at a crossroads; last season was the easiest it was gonna get, but they didn't even get close to the bag. Now the rest of the NFC has caught up (DET, GB, LAR), the existing contenders haven't disappeared (SF, PHI) and these younger squads should be right there in a year or two (ATL, CHI). To pay Dak says "we're confident we can win a Super Bowl with this guy". imo they should pay Ceedee and tell Dak: You go out there and ball with your all-pro WR in a harder NFC when it matters and you got a deal. If not, we're going in a different direction.

The cowboys could play hardball with CeeDee. They should hold out and tag him next year. I’d keep him on this deal 2 more years and draft his replacement in this off season. They could trade up to get a top receiver

I think its more likely to find another Dak than another Ceedee. Plus you would be paying Dak double what Ceedee is making. You could go out and pay another top guy and draft a Cj Stroud.
