Indigo shouldn't be mixed with sour herbs such as amla, hibiscus, rosehip, because it kills the indigo's dye.

Thank you, this has been a very informative video. You are right about the scalp. I have allergies, and eating certain foods causes my scalp to break out in the crown area.

I don't mix indigo with anything but henna. If I put anything else in my henna, like aloe, or fenugreek, then I will use indigo. But indigo with anything else alone, I won't do.

I had a balayage 2-3 months ago... I like it yeah however my hair my hair is naturally dark so it is limper now and dry. I will be transitioning to natural henna hair dye permanently. I will wait until it gets to 9 months so the balayage grows out more. Subscribing and looking forward to starting this journey with you! already bought Moroccan powder, (aloe vera powder and cassia) are next on my list!

How can I create my own mix? Can you suggest kind of a percentage indipendently of the goal. Example 3 parts of principal herb of choice (main goal) 2 parts of another and 1 part of another as complementary herbs. I don't know if my question is clear🤣 hope you understand! Thanks for the online consultation (Rome Italy, remember??) Thanks for all the precious information you've been given and continue to give us.

my question: can someone with very sensitive skin rely on just regular hair oiling, mud mask, and tea rinses to keep hair and scalp clean? is a premade shampoo necessary or can the powder mixes be enough? thank you.
@nedume.2223

I have sensitive skin and the struggle is real. I had a lot of buildup even though I washed my hair a few days before my last salon appointment. The stylist recommended using a clarifying shampoo 1x a month and following up with a moisturizing shampoo, which you would probably use on a regular basis. I've been searching for gentle and fragrance-free options. Hope this helps!

@@nedume.2223 thanks for your reply, it's just the problem for me is in an allergy to common ingredients, maybe even one of the preservatives that goes into ready made shampoos. the only thing i've managed to find that helps keep my skin from having the reaction is to give up all shampoos and conditioners, even hair dyes. finding the reetha, amla, and shikakai recipe was the only thing that worked and i can't even go inside a salon, i cut my own hair to avoid allergic response. no one on youtube aside from henna sooq is talking about ayurvedic hair care so i'm just hoping it is ok and actually common for some people to use only the powders to wash their hair.

@@pipermarau totally understand. I have allergies & sensitivities to natural and synthetic ingredients, so it is hard to find products. When I couldn't find a dependable shampoo for years, I would use any baby/kid shampoo as long as I didn't react to it but would still get buildup despite trying to use clay to detox gently. I ended up washing my hair with Dudu-Osun African black soap combined with baking soda and/or shampoo rinses in a bucket just to clarify my scalp and following up with ACV rinses on a semi-regular basis; which isn't great for pH. So, I was deep conditioning regularly to combat dryness and damage a few years ago. Now, I bought Kirk's Nourishing Cleanser, Unscented to try next. Also, found unscented options from Curlsmith, Briogeo, Attitude Living, Earth Science beauty, Vanicream, Desert Essence, Seaweed Soap Co., Everyone 3-in-1, Hi-Bar, Viori, Ethique, Kitsch, Gryph + Ivy Rose; and there's always shampoo bases from Wholesale companies like New Directions Aromatics. Also, apparently natural stores like Sprouts (USA) make their own hair products now; I was surprised. Hope this helps!

Hello yes absolutely they can do so as many of our products are ideal for sensitive skin. The premade shampoos we carry could work well or herbal blends

Why does henna & indigo powder itch scalp during & after rinsing it out?how to avoid itching
@HennaSooq
@HennaSooq Год назад
Hello. First you do have to make sure you’re not allergic to henna nor indigo. That might be a sign of an allergy. Also make sure you have a very strong shower head so you can ensure it all comes out. Use our Cleansing CoWash to help with that as well.
