When they say "yaeba" is cute, it's not the type of crooked teeth where your teeth are badly arranged. It is specifically for when you have sharp canines that pop out

As an American kid there was never really any question if you were going to get braces, only when. When i got to the ortho for the stuff my folks wanted fixed(like 5 things), he pointed out 10 more they never considered. The amount of purely cosmetic alterations made on teeth is insane. I remember looking at my teeth after an appointment and crying because they had evened out my canines. I was horrified, I had inherited extra large pointed canines from my mom and it was one of the few traits I got from her (we look nothing alike). They didn't ask beforehand and didn't inform me afterwards, it's that regular a practice.😢

I also had a tooth like this but it was growing over my other tooth so I had to get it removed. I learned about Japanese beauty standard before then and it made me feel comforted, I also learned about a place in Vietnam where white perfect teeth are considered bad. They blacken their teeth to perfectly shiny black teeth and that is considered beautiful. It really opened up my eyes as a young person and also made me feel a little happier since I was already at odds with fitting in being mixed Asian American and when I was younger and even now there was no way I could fit American beauty standards. I love imperfect teeth and I think it makes me feel more at ease. I used to be a dental assistant and it made me so upset and angry watching people have to struggle to afford basic medical care. Where was this video 11 years ago 😭😅 I'm growing to like Japan more and more, more I learn about it. 🥰 I plan to wear braces because it bothers me and I like symmetry, but like the Japanese I would consider woman crooked teeth cute. Because I'm not much into looks. My first girlfriend had crooked teeth and I didn't care nor judge her. Like the Japanese, I can see beyond the physical. (I'm white, Croatian btw) But.. I'm determined to find my Asian woman/wife because they are so much prettier & adorable hehe and bc of eastern mentality and more real - less fake. 🥰😍😘🤩 🏯🏰👌🤞🦷🧚 And yes I too believe most of European people and overseas are superficial so that claim that it is hard to get a job there without a "perfect smile" is most likely true. 0:43 I guess many of them don't get the phrase "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." 🏇

And the fact Asian eyelids looks more attractive to me (naturally curvy) is something I discovered just 1-2 years ago simply because I had no choice, and before that I DIDN'T think much about of Asian people because A: I'm always seeking someone who completes me/loves me back B: I never travel and C: I don't have multiculturalism in my country. But last few years there are many abroad workers in Croatia so I know the feeling of Japanese people how they feel about foreigners. And if an Asian girl I meet had bad personality her appearance would mean nothing to me. Just like some quotes I've read: "A beautiful girl is nothing if she has an ugly heart." And generally speaking physical appearance is subjective. "Meaning that what one person considers physically attractive, another may not. Physical attractiveness is also culturally determined, in that some cultures value certain appearances more than others." - And I have quite unique way of looking at women so its hard to mention everything here about me. For example, someone's personality could make their appearance more appealing to me if to others it doesn't, or I won't even care how she looks if we make a deep emotional connection like I did with my first girlfriend with crooked gray teeth btw (which she got fixed/covered when I saw her FB photo years later...), and that depends mostly on them, will I like someone or not. I have unique taste in many things... And it depends are we destined or not... But that's another topic, and it seems I can't make this text shorter... And if you know/believe in astrology, my personality and world view just in this context: ➡ Moon Virgo = represents natural beauty in short, and I love Virgos - my probable future match, my nervousness/anxiety and shyness and why I love shy girls, humble/modest, very practical, stable emotions - stable earth sign (it means I don't cry for whole year even as Cancer Sun, but I can and I did), my pickiness and annoying perfectionism/OCD... but I don't expect perfection from others bc I compromise - thats bc Libra Rising and Virgos hardcore realists, logic & Saturn - reality 2nd. - More about Moon Virgo in my playlist: "Astrology my aspects", and it has other videos explaining me better, who will be interested and also plans to judge me. (make sure your perfect) ➡ Uranus conj Saturn in 2nd House of Values = Uranus represents: uniqueness, rebellion, individuation, etc... - See my nick? And Saturn represents: old, maturity, patience, conservatism, traditional values - Eastern women are more traditional like Japanese culture - and here I am, learning about them... fate ? love ?) ◉ "Eastern dating culture is generally much more traditional than Western." ➡ Libra Rising = Libra sign and Venus planet is "all about art" and I do like/appreciate art. And they say this placement balances all personality traits, except writing haha. And most people like Libra rising natives, mostly because we are fair and well-balanced people, and its public mask "first thing everyone see". ◉ "They have a great sense of justice and order. These natives are the natural peacemakers in their social circles. Their charming personality is much admired." ➡Mars in 5th house = Creative expression, creativity, fun and romance - this long texts you see now haha and on the link or code from yt link below is my comment and it has a lot of emojis on it because ? I like fun, and writing lol. Btw, you can google all this placements and it will say same stuff, I'm not trolling. - And Astrology isn't just one sign (who doesn't know), whole natal chart must be looked at/studied too judge someone's personality, and even then its not always clear because its not simple stuff and not everyone has same placements/aspects, and that's too complicated for some people to understand/believe all at once, and to make sense of this life... I studied many charts and its not nonsense. And I recommend KRSchannel for learning astrology (no ads), and infographics (that's how I started) to make sense of astrology, ourselves and not to blame ourselves for "our" failures but to learn and evolve from that, and that guy knows what he's talking about (except Hindi terms lol) and he's natural/born to share that knowledge. 👌 My ♍🌙 recommendation/advice. 😅 Now to finish my defense. 😅 I had 2 girlfriends in total and I didn't choose them based on their appearance. I was with them because we had some connection and romance. But I was hopeless romantic back then 11y ago with no clearly set criteria. (And years later I found out that I have Jupiter in Taurus sign, and both girls were Taurus Sun, and Libras/Taurus share Venus romantic & love planet - traits we shared). And I would say my personality is well-balanced when I'm not annoyed/under stress, and my personality trait (MBTI) - Feeling/love function is 86% (And I never boasted about this before btw) if I remember correctly IN[F]P, so clearly I understand emotion and feelings than most people and want love more than anything... And I would say other types who are xxTx are shallow but its not precise science, for example % can be on edge of letters, like 51% for xxTx so 49% is xxFx shadow function. So people shouldn't judge if they are not experts in some things. Not everything is black and white. And I counted around 176 criteria on my dating profiles for my perfect match if she reads my profile and recognize herself. From which only 4-5 are about appearance - my preferences. (and those 176 criteria are also describing just part of my personality and what I like and what I don't in my future other half, but ofc with possibility for few compromises, because nobody is perfect right?) And on one InfoG. it is written on of the traits for INFPs "They are in search for perfect relationship which can make it difficult to find love." - Moon Virgo... & Libra rising - I want harmony with a woman... So that's how "shallow" or "superficial" I "really" am. (sarcasm) And none of my criteria was EVER eye color. I saw on some women dating profiles their eye color preference but even so on those profiles I didn't find reason to message them... and most of women dating profiles are empty, just photos, and some of them with cleavage open to attract "the right guy". And some can't even describe themselves how superficial they are. Good luck to them finding that one blue-eyed dumbass right for them, fortunately that is not me nor "90%" of the population. 👌 And I don't even remember color of my 2 ex girlfriends, maybe they were pale blue, maybe green, maybe hazel, maybe mixed, maybe they depend on type of light so every time different color... (see now how much I really care about appearance) and I would definitely remember if they were brown/dark color like most Asians have because I think they are most distinguished, memorable, like my own. And if you want proof I'm not making that up (176 criteria ), I also commented about that on other video 2 weeks ago, and I said there for Physical Appearance "I want 4-5 things like: natural beauty - no make up, not 2 short 4 me, fit & feminine". AND keep in mind all of this while reading it. Bye 👋✌ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RuAQo97K-zE.html&lc=UgwDQBpGvw47MiuEd_Z4AaABAg "26 Traits Japanese Girls Want in a Guy"

That's a great attitude to have! I wish it was like that here too. I was forced to wear braces as a kid, it was an awful and painful experience and at the end my teeth just eventually went back to how they were before. All that money spent for nothing as well as the agony and embarrassment, ugh.

well, to be honest, everyone complains about asians and what they may find beautiful, but this is the perfect example that this happens everywhere. in the US it's extremely common to get stupid-ass work done in your teeth (like white as hell teeth and unnaturally straight), and you also get shamed for having them a natural color a lot of times. this is just one example out of a thousand.

in India, now, people like straight teeth because of easy access to braces, idealising the west and dwindling importance of 'marriagability'. I heard way back, when matchmakers used to match people for arranged marriages, this kind of "cutesy imperfect" teeth was sought after since it's a sign of innocence and childishness. women with perfect teeth were considered to be 'tezz' (cunning, strategist, hard to control) and that didn't work for the joint family model back then

I’m American and would never think a fang tooth or gap between teeth would be “bad teeth”. On the West Coast, what is more encouraged is “dental health” or “teeth health/care” so that your mouth is clean and cared for. But however the teeth are pointed, what matters is the person is not in pain, can eat and drink happily, and the teeth are healthy. Kindness to all! ❤ (I also have a gap in my teeth 🌸)

When we say crooked teeth, the yaeba isn’t really that bad. They are crooked and it’s minimal. So it’s not that eye catching. Crooked teeth, we mean to the point that it’s basically disfigurement. Like I mean your mouth being a battle ground as your teeth are fighting for space.

im american and i was bullied a lot for my fang teeth when i was younger. my family wasn't really financially stable enough to afford braces or any kind of invisalign/corrections and once I got my own job in my senior year of high school, I was saving up religiously to get my teeth fixed. My high school had a yearly cultural program where every year they'd take all the students in language classes to different countries. The previous year was Spain, and the 3rd year of me taking Japanese they took us to Japan. We stayed with our own host families and I stayed with a couple that had a daughter. she LOVED my teeth and told me while we were eating dinner that I had very cute teeth. I was shocked but felt so warm inside at that compliment because I was so used to covering my mouth when I laughed or smiled. She'd hold my hand every time I tried to cover my mouth lol. I'm now in college and I still contact her via penpal.
