This show was genuine. 46 years of marriage takes dedication

My wife and I were on twice. Once for a reunion show. I think we were on in ‘73. Still married. It will be 53 years this December.

They need a anniversary game for those married 25 years or more. 😂

I work for a couple who’ve been married for 74 years. 74 years! That’s incredible.

Young love is sweet, but a long, happy marriage is a treasure.

My sweet husband passed away in February 2020. We met at a Christmas party in 1969 and we got married in June 1970. I walked in the door at the party and he was the first person I saw. There truly is love at first sight because I definitely fell in love with him that night. We would’ve been married 50 years in June 2020 but he went to Heaven before we made it. But we were together 50 years counting the 6 months before we got married. I miss him so very much! When you’ve been with someone for that long it feels like half of you is gone.

This was fun to relive…we were on the show that aired in March of 1968…my husband had shipped to Vietnam by then and was never able to view the program…I have tried to get a copy for him at our 50th anniversary…but sadly I never found the right people to connect with..we will celebrate our 57th anniversary this August…lots of great memories and family times. Oh and we won!!!!

While we have never been on a television show, my wife and I have been married 42 years. Kids, mortgages, minivan, vacations, baseball games, PTA, births and deaths : we’re still here. Takes dedication, understanding, having a strong faith, looking for the best in one another, being their support and loving no matter what. I said “ I do “….not “ I think so “. …or “ till you age or don’t look like you’re 25 any longer.” She didn’t say “until you lose your waistline and hair.” She said “I do “.

My Mom and Dad were married over 70 years and they still held hands. My Dad would say, "isn't she pretty?"

"We laugh together". That's it right there folks. My wife and I have been married for 38 years (together 43) and we laugh every day. If I have to run to Home Depot, my wife jumps in and we get a coffee for the trip and sing songs on the radio together. Other than the gray and being parents and grandparents now- we're still the same couple as we were in the summer of 1979.

My favorite episode of The Newlywed Game was when they asked the guys, "How many times a week do you and your wife make whoopie?" One guy paused for a moment to do the math, and said, "Twenty one." Everyone else was like, "Three times a day? No way! Big talker!" Then when the wives were back on, his wife even paused to do the math, just like he did, before saying, "Twenty one!" Then everyone else was like, "Whoa! You da MAN!"

“Still together!😱” Imagine that - people making vows to each other and then actually keeping them.

That's when people really loved and cared about each other and was willing to go the extra mile to make their marriage work. 😊❤❤❤

Its so heartwarming to see these couples still together after all these years. Good for them. I only hope that one day I can experience that. After all, some marriages don't last too long.

Even though I am single I enjoy seeing other good people together to remind me there is still some good this world 🌎.

As a kid watching that show I found it hilarious, whats worse is that at 8 years old I actually knew what they were talking about and understood the humor

Love this! Sometimes when I watch old reruns on the game show channel, I find myself wondering whatever happened to them.

My grandparents just had their 75th in July. Sadly my grandfather just passed 6 months later on Jan 27th. The day before my 43rd Birthday. He was 99. The always called and sang happy birthday together. I don't know how she kept it together but she called on my birthday the day after he passed and sang to me.❤ was weird not hearing my granddaddy mumble happy birthday in the background. Miss you granddaddy!😢🙏💓
