Excellent video...i know those passes well and never tire of riding them...stunning scenery! Great filming. Forget about the incident on the ferry...it rarely happens and you will become expert at sussing out when there's some light fingered people around!!. The Gap of Dunloe was only asphalted at around start of the 2000s. Prior to that it was a mountain track that could only be accessed by horse, on foot, 4wd etc. The Jarveys with their jaunting cars feel that it shouldn't be open to cars as it's their livelihood. They threatened to block the road in 2005. They won't get out of the way to let traffic pass. Last time I was on the pass was before it was asphalted, I was in early teens, went in jaunting car. I also made a wish on the Wishing Bridge which came through for me. That's a secret though, it's between me and the bridge. 😁 Heading to Killarney for a week next month. We go most years.
