Stargate Command summers almost over and I'm waiting patiently for the double bill of the weekly showings of the series, these showings are the only thing keeping me subbed so everytime you upload something Stargate on RU-vid I'll be asking for the episode's and I know that you're having the summer off but I'll still be asking, apart from that I never really looked into to the hand to hand combat
Really hoping you guys come back for wednesday re-watches of the series very soon. Is there any update for us? Could you please give us a return date?? We've sub'd and clicked the bell! What else can we do ?! We need you to survive our busy weeks in this crazy world!

Another Wormhole-less Wednesday. I guess we all just have to assume at this point that the live re-watches are not going to resume. This is a SUPREME BUMMER. I subscribe to stargatecommand.co and therefore have access to the entire series and watch regularly, BUT Wednesday night re-watches are my absolute favorite, I love the randomness of the eps and the community. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF PHYSICS, bring them back!
Knife fight between Ronon and Ford in "Runner", sword fight between Ronon on Wraith juice and Tyre, Ronon vs the big wraith on Sateda, the brief but memorable meeting between O'Neill and Bra'tac
the fight between Teal'c and Mitchel gives a lot more credit to the fight Ronon vs Teal'c. As a regular human the fact that Ronon could keep the pace with Tea'lc for an hour and could go on even longer is just astonishing.
Ronon is a Satedan, basically a Spartan soldier evolved on another galaxy. Each time I named a City or Planet in games, Sateda is usually my Second Strongest one; Asuras is always the top one.
Hot take, compared to Teal'c Ronin is just a poorly written Marty Stu character with half assed character development just like most characters on SGA next to their SG1 counterparts
@@elmurdoc Even daniels reconverted into hawkman, and samantha is leading a sanctuary for freaky monster , mckay kill people in his garden and jack, well i guess jack is still fishing, while teal'c is playing with some kind of hobbit ( not even with bilbo or frodo xD)
@@shaezbreizh86 dude that was years ago, Daniel is talking to ghost then later was having a normal life, and carter became a angel then begin to time travel, well is more complicated in the other hand Jack yeah he is still fishing :)
Definitely Teal'c. We never really saw what the Deal with Satedans was. Seems to be another Langera/Genii/whoever those ring cultist people were type "1800-1950" type planet. Whereas Teal'c is, well. Jaffa.
Glad you had the Imhotep fight on there! It looked so cool, both with the Matrix effect and the Capoeira martial arts. I'd also like to nominate the Mitchell vs Repli-Malick from "Stargate: The Ark of Truth". That was really brutal, bloody and gritty, leaving Mitchell so badly injured and exhausted he can barely move.
Disagree with number 7. And wondering why Carter's fight from the first season where she proves herself to the rest of SG-1 schooling the one Mongolian-like chieftain. Great fight.

@@isabellalupescu5356 It's literally about a white person showing up and 2 days later they change their entire culture of thousands of years of oppression to suit it. Classic white savior BS. Every non-white character, save Teal'c, is a misguided sexist. The idea that Sam, while trained by the military, could beat a lifelong warrior in a sword/knife fight is utterly ridiculous. The airforce doesn't train that extensively in hand to hand because we have guns and bombs now. It's just one of the worst episodes in the series and should be skipped on rewatches.
First one is not really a fight it's a beat down on Rush ...he's not a soldier and doesn't have any combat skills...2nd one I hated they didn't let Camron make a better showing ...he was better than this
Have to agree. It sadly fell into the stereotypical portrayal of medieval swordfights where the opponents try to bash/slash eachother. If we believe theese tests were designed for people who were on that technological level, then the hologram should've fought like an actual medieval person who's in full armor with medieval sword fight techniques. Otherwise the original people (arthur and co) would've easily beaten the pathetic hologram and then it did not pose a challenge.
An honorable mention. Less of a fight and more of a skirmish when Jack effortlessly disarmed Bra'Tac of his staff weapon when they met for the first time.

Not a chance. Ronan is a "normal" human, big and badass sure. Teal'q on the other hand is a Jaffa, genetically engineered and 5 times as strong as a human at least. If it had been serious fight to the death Teal'q would have won in a matter of minutes.
I would have bet onTeal's against Ronan as well. Both are highly trained, impossibly tough warriors but Teal'c is far older with greater experience in direct combat.
The fan in me: Now I remember why I loved this awesome franchise so much. I wish they would bring it back already. *The cynic in me:* Why? Just so we can see the SJW wraiths suck the life out of it, like they did to Star Wars and Marvel Comics? Let it die with dignity, please.

@@sadev101 Sorry. I want a new stargate series just as much as anyone. And i do hope that both B.W. and J.M. will be the ones to create it. But i also fear that they would have to let in very problematic politics into the series because of pressure form above.
Young is a dirty fighter. But just yesterday I was commenting on the fight scene between Ronin and Teal'c. That whole episode shows those two saving Stargate Command on Earth. From a group of Wraith. Both actors are very good in fight scenes. The first fight appeared as though they would never stop. Great video.

Thank you! I've been trying to remember that guy's name since this list came out! Now that was a fight! That omission does mock the entire list. Teal'c even beat up on Cam to get to Arkad! That was one of the Best. Fights. Ever.
Whilst many of the scenes here are epic, well constructed and have a brilliant cinematic effect. Young vs Rush was perhaps the most honest of the lot. It's a real pity that there's a limited amount of SGU, it really was its own animal.
Stargate Command is on tour for summer, hence no full ep., I figured their fan base was more aware of this yet find that more are ignorant to something stated many times prior.

Where's Ronon vs Tyre? Where's Ronon vs Tyre and his two friends? Wheres Sheppard vs Evil Sheppard? And most importantly Where's Ronon vs Rodney McKay?!
0:45 no matter what he did I was always on Young's side and so was Eli I think. Rush had his weirdness all the time. Teal'c probably has experiance and endurance maybe over Ronon but Ronon definitely got pure ornery over Teal'c!
I'd say that their fight would end up in a draw. Either because at some point both get tired. Or because someone eventually will stop them from fighting. (They'Ve been fighting for 1 hour before Carter stopped them) My guess they'd be able to continue for at least 1 or 3 more hours before they simply collapse from exhaustion.
MCU should not have been in the Stargate universe. It's tone was good and dark, but it just didn't belong to Stargate. Whenever I rememkbered to consider SGU non-stargate, it was enjoyable. The FX were sublime. And I absolutely adored Destiny. It was a dignified old lady and It's a shame we won't ever get to see her again.
Young vs Rush ? That was no contest .. Rush was a scientist with no combat skills at all against a military office.. Cameron should have done better than he did since he had training from the Sodan
Let me get this straight, you put that stupid fight between Vala and Daniel but couldn’t be bothered to include at least one Teyla fight scene or at least the fight scene with Ronin, Amelia and the Hybrid?!!
The number 1 slot with the like casual full frontal flip totally exposing yourself. The showman stunt jumps and the like. Very athletically impressive but far from the best fight scenes. The show mostly did a good job though in reigning back these worse impulses in fight choreography.
I call shinanigans! Some of these aren't hand to hand combat - they're using weapons. And no Teyla? She whipped people from the moment she was introduced. Sam too. Can we get a better representation of all the characters that's not so Teal'c and dude heavy?
the majority of the combat scenes are pretty garbage in the entire series..... The Rush and Yung scene from Justice is good however. Maybe the one where he beats Telford for cheating with his wife is also a good scene. But that s about it.... Rest is garbage.... Oh. I just remembered . The Malice episode. That episode is really good. The entire episode is just 100 per cent good. every scene in that episode is gold. It s sad that is very few episodes are made like this...
