Afternoon just to give you a heads up I just cruised on this ship June 19, was not impresed at all long lines for everything and I found the food sub par, yes it is adult friendly but not much pool or hot tub spa spaced
I pronounce Costa using the word 'lost' or 'cost'. It's been years since we've used Carnival. It wasn't great, so we've said "one and done". But I appreciate your perspective. Maybe Mardi Gras in the future. For now, we're sticking with The Retreat on Celebrity. Airfares have been horrendous. But we just went on a 12 day Celebrity Edge cruise, despite the airfare. Next year to Amsterdam. That airfare is even higher.
We have a cruise booked in September in the new Silver Nova which has a completely different design from the other Silversea ships. Really looking forward to it. We use the Silversea highly discounted Business Class fare. Otherwise we would be paying 3 tines as much. Hope you enjoy the Venezia. Look forward to your reports
Airfares to Europe -- seems the RT air cost now exceeds the cruise cost. We have switched our cruising focus to those that at least start or end in the States; preferably both.
You asked about airfares affecting cruses… We recently Booked a cruise to Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand and Cancelled it when we found airfares to be Almost 3 Times the cost of the cruise.
Hi, thanks for the video. I’m booked on the Venezia for February, a 9 day out of NYC. Many of the reviews are pretty bad. Mentions of poor food, fights, and rude passengers. I’d really be interested in your sense of all this on your cruise. I hope it’s really good for you!
I look forward to your thoughts on Carnival and this ship. I long thought Carnival was a line for partiers but your earlier Carnival reviews indicated it had gotten classier.
Interested in your upcoming cruises, especially the Viking and, possibly, Chrystal. I had my first Chrystal booked when they went out of business. Still wary to try again…..Yes, flying to UK in August, not for a cruise, and it is very expensive!!
You may want to check with Crystal because I know they are working hard to get customers back who were affected by the previous ownership and the shut down.
