So, we need to haul out to fix some thing, like that rock we hit in T&C.... The most affordable place that can haul our big fat cat and is outside of hurricane zone is in New Bern NC. In theory is a 2 day (48hr) sail from Charleston SC. And that was our goal... but we aborted the open ocean sail after being in storms most of the night the first night. Does that make use wimps? Or maybe we're just ICM connoisseurs.

Thanks for the your channel and the walk along side you guys going from landlubbers to accomplished sailors. I'm stuck at home quarantining from covid and happened onto one of your ASA class videos from four years ago. So one day I binged watched a few hours of your channel. Very cool perspective to watch, in a few hours, you go from tentative sailors on your first solo outing in a monohull to buying Honu, taking her up the ICW, retrofitting, then out to the Bahamas, then longer haul overnight trips growing and gaining confidence and competence. Now seeing you set out at evening and adjusting on the fly when weather and conditions suggest a better course. You guys became seasoned sailors before my eyes. This has been fun to watch. If you guys can find Hemple paint, you will love it! We have used Olympic+ and the bottom has stayed spotless with no cleaning, weather we are in a marina or sailing. It’s really nice stuff!

You really need to sail up to Oriental. Beautiful little town with really good restaurants. This area is where I sailed all the time. Stay safe!
