I like the way autos perform, but I feel like (along with pulses) they're hedging out handcannons a bit much. I'm not dedicating a lot of brain power to this, so I'm not sure what the perfect solution is. I just know the sandbox balance seems like it's in a weird place. Not awful, just odd.
I prefer hand cannons myself. I don’t mind where autos are, but do you think bungie is afraid to make hand cannons more forgiving? D1 was 86 to the head for a 140; which was a bit much as you could 1 head 2 body, but maybe being able to 2 head 1 body consistently with a 140 HC would be a nice fit for them.
I hate/love a meta. I hate it because the community just gets fixated on 1 dominant load out and EVERYBODY copies it. There’s no individuality when everybody just uses the same thing. The immortal smg epidemic was so dominant, until you picked up a scout rifle and kept some distance.
I'm an AR lover, and even I feel like they're hitting ranges they shouldn't. I don't think they're really far out of band though. I think if they walked back the range drop-off to about 37m that would suffice. They shouldn't be stepping on the toes of high impact HC's
