The clickbait takes and shit-talking from popular media is already going crazy, I feel like your videos are some of the only content I can actually trust to go to for REAL evaluations of Caleb’s performances. Thank you for this content
This is really the only content that is actually worth watching. If you want to make your own decisions this channel just breaks down the plays and the QB play and lets me know where this kid is going.
As a 25 year old girl with no interest in football a couple years ago I never thought I’d be spending my Mondays like this 😂 Always loved watching the bears growing up but mainly just for football parties - never actually cared about understanding football until last year. Your content is advanced for me but I love watching your videos every week! It’s helping me learn and I like being able to reflect on the game with a new perspective the next day.
Also check out the QB School, check out Faiz Sports Talk, check out Chat Sports Chicago Bears. You’ll learn more of the Xs and Os you’re referring to. And what reasonable upgrades or changes ought to be made. Etc.
Hopefully you’re right. Seems to me the Bears QB situation can only be solved if they have a superstar under center because of how horrible the organization is. Fields is a decent QB with the right help, but he’s not the type to be the main X factor for the team.
His feet are horrible, so inconsistent. If he cleans up his footwork he’ll be great. That being said it is the best footwork the bears have ever seen..
Thanks bud, love your film breakdowns. Helps an Englishman not to panic, in spite of the general nfl media. It confirms what I see with Caleb, a young quarterback learning his trade and improving. Flashes of brilliance but needs more game time in the NFL.A work in progress and I'm excited about the future. Loving the content.
You do a great Job with these. You can tell the Caleb Williams haters that masquerade as Bears fans don't actually watch the film. This dude is the real deal.
@@jimmy_butlerYour OC Is Horrible, Your O-Line is Horrible, And Keneen Allen Can't Stay Healthy. So Williams Is Most Definitely Not Your Only Issue On This Team.
@@jonathangleason72either that or he’s a complete goofball. Like what fuckin game is he watching?!😂 Anyone with half a football I.Q can see Caleb is the least of the offenses worries
On the 4th and 1 speed option, Caleb said that there was a check built into the play if they didn’t get the 6-1 defensive look they were expecting to see based on film study. However, they broke the huddle with around 10 seconds on the playclock so there was nowhere near enough time to change the play at the line on 4th and goal. That needed to be a coach recognizing the play was screwed and calling timeout from the sideline. Instead Eberflus put the blame on his players in the post game press conference. Can’t have that.
Honestly, just have Caleb fake the run and keep it himself running outside and he probably walks into the end zone or dumps it off to a wide open TE. It's obvious the Bears can't run the ball right now, so why try to punch it in 4 plays in a row? Bears score there, it's a different game that they probably win.
@@jiordone8563 The Bears aren't trying to run though. And they need to use Roschob. Roschon had 8 for 30. If you just feed him more, and run on the interior, you'd have a more balanced running game. Swift goes down immediately on any contact. The Bears can't have a rookie Qb throw 52x in a game which was basically a 1 score game the whole time.
That sequence of plays alone is a fireable offense. Not that anyone should or would be fired. And Flus had to make sure we come away with a TD. Him not getting involved with Shane is why I believe he’s a great DC and not a HC
Man I love this kind of deep dive all 22 analysis you do Tim! Great job giving us fans an opportunity to see Caleb's play by play development. And I really appreciate you being a brutally honest about what we are seeing from our coaches.
He’s just got to keep stacking it week after week. He’ll be fine, but they desperately need to get this run game going or else he’s gonna be stifled in his growth.
As always, great breakdown for those of us who are not football nerds (I played basketball in college). I REALLY learn a lot from your breakdowns which help me understand the Bears better. 👍
Before the 4th and goal we ran Roshon Johnson to pick up the pick up the previous 4th and 1. Then sent him to the bench and brought in Herbert at the goal line and tried to jam him up the middle. Also on one of those plays we had 180 lb Carter trying to block a 280 lb defensive end. Unbelievable.
And not having Caleb under center either. It was a joke. RJ should have got the ball at least twice with Caleb under center in that horrendous sequence. Punch it through or run action.
Keep these coming, Tim! I, as a tortured Bears fan, love these breakdowns. You keep it objective and aren't trying to just say stupid shit for clicks. I respect that.
Good breakdown, as usual. Reminder, Eberflus: 1) claims to sit in on the offensive (pun intended) meetings; 2) wears a headset. So he knows what's in the playbook, hears the calls being made, yet, as a DC, has allowed those crapass plays to not only exist, but to be called? He's as much to blame as Waldron. I'd also bet at sometime during the season, if the offense continues to suck, either CW and/or his dad will have words with Ryan Poles about the coaching staff and insist changes be made, no later than after the season.
makes feel better about caleb. i feel like hes doing good. he knows where to go most of the time with his deep reads. hes just got to slow the game down. thx great work
Getting that first TD under his belt seemed to help settle and energise him. It's a shame they couldn't get him the ball back at the end to see what he might have done.
Yeah the big problem is coaching. Watching this video makes you realise how bad the coaching is with some of these concepts just all over the show and doing everything but helping the rookie QB. If he had a matt lafleur or something he would look a lot better
these content creators are never going to be 100% truthful, they literally make money from fans of the team wanting their QBs to be great. Kurt Warner who has nothing to gain, basically said Caleb has been trash and took a step back in game 3.
Lmaooooo. Speed option 😂 because we block so welll ! Oops. And he falls on the floor 🫥. Starting to understand why Seattle wasn’t upset with Shane leaving . Def sticking with ya. !
The combination of all things QB and Qb school give the listener the perfect combo of realistic yet positive from all things QB and negatively realistic from QB school thanks for the great video.
On the int to Rome, great throw, but the ball gets tipped by the DB reaching up through Rome's hands. Rome didn't drop it, it was really just an amazing play by the DB or Rome catches it. Hard to see on the All-22 copy.
Thank you so much for this content. I felt watching the game like we saw a good end to the game that let me leave breathing SO much easier. It isn't all roses at all, but this definitely helps validate my optimism (for caleb). Hopefully we either straighten this up this season soon or we commit this offseason to going full on O-line and offensive head coach to help him. He has to be the guy for us and we need to treat him like that
The blocking scheme on the option was hilarious, they had no chance of succeeding even if Braxton Jones doesn’t go after the wrong guy and trip the entire rest of the line up. Funniest, and saddest thing I’ve seen in a while.
@@Duffyartwork The Bears could screw up Brady, Manning, Rodgers...I don't care what the guy looks like. This FRANCHISE is hot garbage and will be until further notice. Waldron and Flus aren't going anywhere this year. Which means this year is already a loss. Assuming they don't get Williams drastically injured, he'll be MENTALLY injured and will be a recovery project. THEN they're going to go talk to Ernie Accorsi, The Mara family, and hire Bill Polian, and they'll hire the exact WRONG coaches and GM. Why would you be REMOTELY encouraged by what we have seen so far?
@@gund2281I completely understand. It’s maddening. I just see caleb getting better. That matters the most to me. Flus, waldron, and the entire offensive staff can be gone. Flus sucks as a coach
@@Duffyartwork Agreed. I'm just scared of doing the same shit AGAIN with another rookie QB. I hope CW is different and it won't matter, but God damn until we KNOW that he's different, I'll be on pins and needles. Tired of being awful
Another great review! That fourth down option was nuts. I think Wiliams said they had to play he could've checked into, but he was worried about the amount of time left on the clock in that situation. As a bunch of us were watching this live, we were like how can that play even be a thing in that situation?
It was great to hear a non-casual logically breakdown what really happened Sunday. The OC & HC need to be fired ASAP. Here in Chicago Bears fans keep talking about Fields. Caleb is way better than Fields. He threw for 363 yards, better footwork, reads through progressions, better accuracy.
Our reporters point out his mistakes in almost every presser. Lol😂 And he seems to know the exact play theyre referring to, which imho, is a good thing. Because that means he's cognizant of whats going on/his mistakes. ----btw, Im not panicking 3 weeks into a rookie QBs career. Panic if he still sucks in year 2 or 3. Btw, u can see Caleb made improvements in each game after week 1 . So im not tripping. Btw, Rome will be a STUD. even while playing vs a better back 4 vs Tennessee and houston, he showed he can get separation, if not, still catch a contested ball
Justin FIELDS,25)32 almost 3-0. 14/14 in passes 2.5 seconds or better. Best quick passer in the NFL in the first twogames FIELDS is the TALK of the NFL. I have been a BEARS FAN SINCE 8 YEARS YEARS OLD. COACHING and a OFFENSIVE LINE are HORRIBLE in CHICAGO. BEAR FANS deserve BETTER,WAY BETTER. The fans are MORE AWARE than POLES and MANAGEMENT. You GUYS DESERVE BETTER.
Is it fair to say that the Bears have been giving Williams enough trust this far that he could've audibled out of speed option on that 4th & 1? Playcaller is still a goofball for even calling that play but Williams could've changed it at the line
Tim is Fired up about that Speed Option play haha Love it man - you sound like me watching the play calling. Honestly, idc what anyone tells me, some of these coordinators (and yes even in the NFL) have no idea what they are doing. I got give it to Waldron though, at least he is getting Kmet into space now and not trying to run a screen with Mercedes Lewis 🤣
Man…he absolutely was asked about the play in the presser…but the side effects of a TBI and subsequent surgery, has that memory filed away in the wrong drawer apparently. Sorry.
Nah if nothing else these breakdowns make me happier. As a fan i just want to win every game and even though I can visibly see Caleb do better and the stats back it up it's hard to look past an L, but breakdowns like these help me see the good in our offense and I feel vindicated by the Kmet success lol just wish he were a better blocker bc we need all the help we can get atp LMFAO
On that second interception colts Snuck a Hand under Rome, Rome had it but it got knocked away from his hands causing the interception. Also I really enjoy your vids. I kept forgetting to sub so I went ahead and got it out of the way !
on that INT to Rome, the DB got his arm in between the ball and Odunze's hands, but i agree hands on, could have fought for it... but that's what made the ball pop up.
30:19 I’m not too interested in defending Shane Waldron, but the one piece of game context that is needed to understand this call is that our kicker missed short from this distance in the game. We needed those 3 yards to get points on the board
@TB17- he breaks down the all 22 and calls CW out for bad plays and shows why it was bad. Unlike mainstream, who will pick their darling heroes weekly and flip on em the next. His content is just breakdown, not click bait, that is not a bias but a fact of what went down.
Waldron makes the game too hard. When you have talent (Willaims, DJ, Allen, Kmet, Swift) you dont need to be exotic to having a functioning offense. You can just max protect and any of the guys i mentioned can still beat a double team. instead, waldron goes zero protection and does 5 out with creative play calls which gets his qb sacked or pressured. he finally changed it up a bit in game 3. just get kmet the ball against zones. let rome win deep. get the ball to swift in the flat. let DJ be DJ. Now, all he has to do is run herbert and rojo 25 times a game. let williams pass 25 times a game and use swift as a 3rd down pass catching back. thats what any SANE OC would do. Waldron uses his lightning as thunder and his thunder as lighting. its the most moronic running game ive ever seen.
With the speed option Caleb said he did have the check but didn’t have time with the clock ticking to call the audible. Someone should have called a timeout. So frustrating.
