Sadly i think we are the last generation to collect. Streaming and Internet age killed it. We use to buy movies so we could rewatch them because we had nothing else to watch, now a day kids watch something once and never remember it
I would hope that collecting never goes away.. maybe some things get replaced by something else, but collecting stuff is, I believe, part of human nature.. from those Beanie Babies, to The Funko's to who knows what might come next... people just like owning lots of cool stuff
The last generation of collecting physical media is a yes and a no i give the no part first in my opinion i will say in 2015 and 2016 the new generation goes on streaming when it comes to music tv shows and movies and others there's 2 sides of young generations some will stream and surprises me some will collect physical media as well to me im happy some of the youngsters collect that's the 2015 till now era as the older generation including myself i come from the era of physical media way before the digital internet im 42 i was born in 1982 i love collecting till this day beginnings for me is vinyl records cassette tapes cds vhs tapes dvds blu-rays comic books and magazines but most of the time is cassette tapes cds vinyl records dvds blu rays and vhs tapes i put physical media over streaming all day we never knew in the future if the internet shutdown the older generations we be fine but the young generations will lose there minds completely i think physical media is here to stay look at vinyl records great example as long people collect there will fewer stores open for that demographic of collectors i do stream when I comes to music and movies i use RU-vid for convenience to take care of my physicals on my tablet and my phone but I always use my cassette tape player my cd player and my record player my dvd and blu-ray player and my vhs player always i buy it one time and own it for free and forever and I can listen and watch anytime but streaming some stay and some dissappear and you got to pay again to watch it again to me physical media is always king amazing video moviejohn i think i said enough i know is a old video but i wanted to say something huge fan since 2017 I love watching your channel because its fun everytime take care and have a great Friday peace out
