Most men aren’t even “men” anymore. And I am not talking about homosexuals. Being a biblical man, as our Creator meant for us to be, means to follow his commandments. By doing so everything shall fall into it’s place in accordance with full free will. Today’s world is ruled by many things but love.

Well if that is the case, then let it be just men. The women woulc have no interest in going to church at all. Better to go and enjoy a game of tennis. Why should she just be a servant? Let him come home and see to the children and cook the meal. AFTER ALL HE IS THE MAN

My perspective on it is feminism rose, men have been punished for speaking up about the gender roles, and generations have been indoctrinated to be weak and allow the women to dominate. I personally have the upmost respect for women who actually embrace and live the way the bible commands. I also do go against the grain and speak up about these matters. As you can imagine most modern women don’t like me, but I do it because I care weather they can see it or not

Why people argue against what God chooses to do is beyond me. It’s His world for His pleasure, to do as He pleases! If He says women are to submit, do it without questioning Him. If God says women are not chosen for positions in life it’s His choice. If God says women can’t be elders or deacons why are you arguing?

Kind Sir...this is what I believe... 1. God told Adam and Eve, NOT to do it ("Sex" if adult, and "Apple" if it's young). And satan tempted Eve. Why didn't he tempt Adam? HUH? I believe it is because women; have very little of "Wisdom"! 2. Now, there is NOT one leader condoned by God, in our bibles;, that is a woman. Huh? 3. God changed the name of Jacob to Israel; to witness to the world. And His 12 Sons; were the leaders of each of the 12 Tribes. Why didn't God put Dinah, as a leader? Huh? 4. Jesus chose 12 Disciples. Why didn't He choose some women; to be Disciples? Huh? 5. Not one book in the New Testament; is written by a woman? Huh? 6. Jesus chose "24 Elders" around His "Great White Throne"; to determine who was going to Heaven or Hell. Why no women were Jurors, on that "Judgment Day"? Huh? 7. Please read this script in the bible...Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Now when have you eve seen a woman; that let's her husband: "Rule over her". Huh? Another interesting thing is that currently the fastest growing bodies of believers are in India and Iran. Many of these are house churches lead by women simply because they are the ones, by and large, that are converting. God uses the weak and the debased to confound the wise. And sometimes he uses the things that aren't to nullify the things that are.

Anyone who teaches that women preachers are allowed is either ignorant of, or blatantly disobedient to, God’s word. We all realize that it’s happening but let God be true and everyone else be a liar. @@kareizaamune429 If you watched the video, you have learned exactly how according the bible women are to win people over. Not by preaching or taking authoritive positions in churches but by their exemplary behavior couples with meeknes and fear. I suggest you stop arguing against the word of God and get to work, the way God actually wants it. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus 2:3-5, KJV) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. (1 Peter 3:1-2, KJV) I would like to add these for your guidance and correct conduct. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. (1 Timothy 2:9-10) Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. Since a woman could be a pastor in the Old Covenant, a woman can be a pastor in the New Covenant. Simple really. I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God. A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Since in Judges 4, men went to Deborah to be judged, a woman could teach men, even in the Old Covenant in a public setting.

Why is it, that all anti women folk love to quote 1 Corinthians 14:34 and 1 Timothy 2:11-12 yet they always omit Romans 16. They cherry pick their scripture to order to attempt to justify their own prejudices. Phoebe and the other women in Romans 16 were in a leadership role. Even if you think deacons are lesser, the fact remains you cannot be in any form of leadership if you have to stay silent. Because I believe no part of scripture contradicts another, the only way to hold all as true, is to realise Paul was talking to specific churches at specific times. In other words, it was not a generic command. God treats us on merit, not on gender.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, AS IN ALL CHURCHES OF THE SAINTS. 34 Let your women keep silence IN THE CHURCHES: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience AS ALSO SAITH THE LAW. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: FOR IT IS A SHAME FOR WOMEN TO SPEAK IN THE CHURCH. 36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD. 38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. It is obvious that this is a general rule. For 2000 years nobody could understand this wrong. It is the recent rise of feminism that started this debate all together.

There is no reason to conclude that people hate women because they strictly follow the word of God. As you can see, there are many women in the comments, that completely agree with this command. The scripture does not contradict each other. A deacon is an assistant of the priest, which fits the role of women in the church perfectly. Nobody ever said that woman cannot do anything for God. We know that the role of Deacons especially female deacons was to take care of the needs of other women like sick and widows. This is in no contradiction at all with what paul said. Your assumption that 1. Corinthians and 1. Timothy Are speaking about specific churched is clearly wrong amd can be seen already within the scripture already.

A call to order In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul begins to instruct the Corinthian church about their somewhat disorganized worship services. As we studied in our previous paper, he says that women should wear a head covering when they pray and prophesy; then he corrects the Corinthians on the way they had been observing the Lord’s Supper. In chapter 12, he addresses the proper use of spiritual gifts in the worship service. He describes a number of gifts, and insists that all gifts are important to the Body of Christ; the variety of gifts calls for mutual respect and honor, not vanity or shame. In chapter 13, he describes love as the best way, and in chapter 14 he makes an extended contrast between the gift of tongues and the gift of prophesying. Apparently some people in Corinth were extolling the gift of tongues as a mark of superior spirituality. Paul did not tell them to stop speaking in tongues, but he did put some restrictions on how tongues should be used in the worship service: There should be two or three speakers (14:27). They should speak one at a time (v. 27). There should be an interpretation (v. 27b). If no one can interpret the tongues, “the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God” (v. 28). However, this requirement should not be lifted out of its context to create a complete prohibition on the person ever speaking, singing or praying.[1] Paul is apparently trying to give some organization to what had been a rather chaotic worship meeting-several people speaking at once, speaking words that no one could understand. Paul recommends the gift of prophecy as a far more helpful gift, but he gives similar guidelines for those speakers, too: Only two or three should speak (v. 29). If someone else has something to say, the first speaker should be quiet.[2] They should speak one at a time (v. 31). People should “weigh carefully what is said” (v. 29; cf. 1 Thess. 5:21). Paul notes that “the spirits of the prophets are subject to the control of the prophets” (1 Cor. 14:32). That is, the speakers are able to stop; they cannot use “God made me do it” as an excuse for adding to the commotion.[3] When God gives a gift, he also gives the person the responsibility to make decisions to use that gift in an appropriate way. Simply having the gift is not an excuse to use it whenever and wherever the person wants to. Paul explains his reason: “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace” (v. 33). Paul[4] then tells the women to be quiet, and to ask their questions at home: “As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church” (vv. 33-35). Let’s examine some of the details in these verses. Observations 1) The first thing we notice is that women are not the only people Paul tells to be “silent.” He uses the same word in verses 28 and 30 to tell tongue-speakers and prophets to be silent when others speak. In both of those verses, he is calling for a temporary silence, not a complete and permanent prohibition.[5] 2) The word for “speak” (laleō) does not necessarily mean a formal role in the pulpit-it is a general word that can also be translated “talk.” Paul used a general word to say that women should not talk, and we have to make an interpretive choice: Was he prohibiting formal speaking roles, or talk in the audience,[6] or something else? 3) Paul says that instead of speaking, women should be in submission. This implies that the Corinthian women were speaking in an insubordinate way. The fact that Paul said in chapter 11 that women could pray and prophesy, and in chapter 14 that two or three people could prophesy in a worship service, shows that women are allowed to have a slot in the speaking schedule. It is not insubordinate for them to speak prophecies; it is therefore likely that Paul is prohibiting some less-formal speaking, such as chatter or comments from the audience.[7] 4) Paul says that “the Law” requires submission. There are several options for what kind of submission is meant: a) submission of all women to all men. However, as we saw in previous studies, the Old Testament does not require all women to submit to all men, nor does it require them to be silent. Nevertheless, some scholars believe that Paul is alluding to a “principle” derived from Genesis.[8] b) submission of wives to their husbands.[9] Although this command is not explicitly found in the Old Testament, the presence of the command in the New Testament[10] suggests that it was based on Old Testament principles. Further, v. 35 indicates that Paul may have been dealing with a husband-wife problem. However, if Paul is alluding to a rule about family relationships, it would not necessarily apply to authority in the church. c) submission to a Roman law that restricted women’s roles in pagan worship.[11] Although Paul normally means the Mosaic law when he uses the word nomos, it is possible that he meant civil law in this verse; the Corinthians would know by context which law he meant. d) submission to themselves. Just as Paul told the prophets to control themselves (v. 32), he uses the same Greek word in v. 34 to say that women should be in submission; the proximity of these two uses suggests that Paul means for women to control themselves. The New American Standard Bible translates v. 34b in this way: “let them subject themselves, just as the Law says.”[12] In this case the “law” could be either Roman law or general biblical principles of decency and order. 5) Paul addresses the problem by saying, “If they want to inquire about something…” This implies that the problem in Corinth concerning the asking of questions with a desire to learn something.[13] Blomberg suggests, “Perhaps the largely uneducated women of that day were interrupting proceedings with irrelevant questions that would be better dealt with in their homes.”[14] Belleville says, “Their fault was not in the asking per se but in the inappropriate setting for their questions.”[15] 6) Paul says that the women “should ask their own husbands at home.”[16] This may imply that the problems were caused primarily by women who were married to Christian men.[17] Grudem is probably right in suggesting that Paul “assumes that the Corinthians can make appropriate applications for single women [or those married to pagans], who would no doubt know some men they could talk to after the service.”[18] Paul is giving “husbands at home” as an illustration, not as a limitation on who can answer and where they must be. For example, it would be permissible to ask questions while walking home, or of other women, or of other men.[19] Paul’s main point is, Don’t talk in church, not even to ask questions. 7) Paul says that it is “disgraceful” for women to talk in church. This word appeals to the Corinthians’ own sense of social propriety. He is saying that church custom (v. 33b), the law (v. 34), and social expectations (v. 35) all prohibit women from talking in church.[20] The questions themselves are not wrong, for they can be asked at home, but it is disorderly to ask them in the worship service. 8) It is not clear whether “as in all the congregations of the saints” (v. 33b) introduces this topic, or concludes the previous one. Linda Belleville notes that in the other places Paul appeals to the practice of other churches, it is at the end of the discussion (1 Cor. 4:17; 7:17; 11:16), and it is redundant to have “in the churches” both in the introductory clause and at the end of the same sentence. As she notes, “‘Let the women…’ is a typical Pauline start to a new paragraph.”[21] However, this does not seem to affect the interpretation of the verses. Either way, it seems that other churches were already doing what Paul wanted the Corinthians to do.

This one that you have taken out of context and used as your excuse to disobey the word of god? Here is the hebrew text analysis. It is not even about preaching. If you read the context. It refers to people (maybe not even women) who celebrate gods victory and bring the good news after a battle that god has fought for the israelites. It refers to several occasions, within the bible. biblehub.com/text/psalms/68-11.htm This is one example: And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick. 7 And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. 1 Samuel 18:6-8 The hebrew word "mevasrot" cannot be refered to as preaching women at all! If it was like that, the israelites would have actually aloud women to teach and preach in their temple courts and synagogues. It can be best explained as people (sometimes women) making victory psalter which is equivalent to singing a worship song for Gods greatness.

But about prophesying and leading? Look at Deborah and Jael (Judges 4-5), and Anna (Luke 2:36-38). Too, Paul never said that women couldn’t preach or prophesy- he said they could, but they had to wear a head covering in order to do so. Look at 1 Corinthians 11:2-10: The practice of Christian head covering for "praying and prophesying" is taught in the traditional interpretation of 1 Corinthians 11:2-10 in the New Testament of the Bible. The majority of Biblical scholars have held that "verses 4-7 refer to a literal veil or covering of cloth" for "praying and prophesying" and verse 15 to refer to the hair of a woman given to her by nature. Christian headcovering with a cloth veil was the practice of the early Church, being universally taught by the Church Fathers and practiced by Christian women throughout history, continuing to be the ordinary practice among Christians in many parts of the world, such as Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Ethiopia, India, Pakistan, and South Korea; additionally, among Conservative Anabaptists such as the Conservative Mennonite churches and the Dunkard Brethren Church, headcovering is counted as an ordinance of the Church, being worn throughout the day by women. When Saint Paul commanded women to be veiled in 1 Corinthians, the surrounding pagan Greek women did not wear headcoverings; as such, the practice of Christian headcovering was countercultural in the Apostolic Era, being a biblical ordinance rather than a cultural tradition. The style of headcoverings worn by Christian women varies by region, though the early Church's Apostolic Tradition specifies that Christian headcovering is to be observed with an "opaque cloth, not with a veil of thin linen".

If you are a woman and not married to one of the brethren, then you need to have Christ over your head. Not a man. If you are a man, and have some pastor, preacher, prophet, rabbi, over your head, you dishonor Christ. Christ is the head. Clearly a woman who has her head covered can prophesy. Ever read the bible and then refer to the bible notes? Notes are watered down versions of the purity of God's Word of Truth. . If the man is not of the brethren, having some other one, pastor rabbi, priest, etc over his head and NOT Christ, then the woman needs to bi-pass the man and have Christ directly teaching her. aka Over her head. Bottom line, God over Christ, Christ over man. Chris is the teacher. Not any man. A man that has a pastor over his head dishonors Christ. Any man that dishonors Christ is not of the brethren. Therefore, the woman must bi-pass the man and have her head covered with Christ It is the teaching of Christ that save. Not the teachings of man. Example: -Christ taught Resurrection. -Men teach rapture. -Christ teaches His Father in heaven. -Men teach Christ is the Father creator. -Christ teaches those who have and keep His words, love Hm. And those who love Him, He and His Father will come to them and make their home in him. -Men teach pray the holy spirit into your life. (No one can pray the Holy Spirit into themselves.) -Christ teaches to be a hearer, and doer. -Men teach you only need to believe. -Christ teaches not to invest in this world. -Men teach how to invest in this world. -Christ teaches he who endures until the end will be saved and inherit the kingdom. -Men teach we will be taken/ removed from the kingdom. -Christ taught make disciples. -Man teach make believers. Millions and millions are being saved throughout the world because of them. They are my beloved. Stop your incessant rubbish talk. Now the muslim women. They are doing the perfect will of God so please keep your mouth quiet. You still cannot explain that scripture can you. You are so indoctrinated and entrenched in Cor you cannot see the wood for the trees. Don 't ever pray for me. I do not need your satannic prayers

Part 11 PAUL STATES THAT WOMEN SHOULD BE SILENT As in all the churches of the saints, the women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church. -excerpt 1 Corinthians 14 In this matter Paul speaks of the 'law'. There is a small possibility that he is referring to a Roman or local law. If not, then Paul is stating that Christian women were still under the Old Covenant laws. Yet there was no Old Covenant law that states that women should be silent. Then the daughters of Zelophehad...came forward. They stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, before the leaders, and all the congregation at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying, “Our father died in the wilderness, yet he was not among the group of those who gathered together against the Lord, in the group of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons. Why should the name of our father be withdrawn from among his family simply because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s brothers.” So Moses brought their case before the Lord. Then the Lord said to Moses, “The daughters of Zelophehad are right about their statements. You shall certainly give them hereditary property among their father’s brothers... -excerpts Numbers 27 These women were not rebuked, even though they spoke before everyone, including Moses. What they asked for was granted to them, because God agreed with them.

Paul was dealing with the women of that time. To the churches where he went to. Over 2000 years ago. That was a whole different ball game. If you continue to dominate and lord it over women like you do, it is no wonder that your wife will find Love and acceptance in another man 's arms. You have no idea how to treat a woman. Cannot see any Jesus or the love of God in you at all. YOU HAVE A RELIGIOUS SPIRIT IN YOU, JUST LIKE THE PHARISEES. THEY TOO WERE QUOTING THE SCRIPTURES AT HIM.

Those who have posted here , have overlooked the gospel of John: Chapter 4 about Samaritan women at the well. Jesus revealed to her that He is the Messiah. She went back to her town and told /preached to the men/people that she met the Messiah and brought a crowd to see and meet Jesus. Jesus did not forbid or restrict her in any way from telling the crowd about encountering Jesus as the Messiah.

@@100hm43700 these are completely different matters. For one she didnt assume authority over the men. Second none of this happened in a church. Third she surely wouldnt have stood on a podest and preached what she saw. The bible doesnt forbid women to privately speak with people about the word of God. It forbids women to have leading roles within the church und usurp authority over men and preach. Two entirely different things. In the Bible there was never a woman ordained to be priest in the temple or to be head of the church and God has his reasons for it!

I would agree that the Samarian woman bringing a town crowd to meet Jesus was not an organized church setting, but how did she as a woman who was the subject of town gossip convince a town crowd to follow her to meet Jesus? Certainly, not by being a meek, docile woman submitting to be silent to men. We might as well treat women like in Saudi Arabia and Iran. Jesus broke a cultural barrier by inappropriately engaging in an open conversation to a Samarian woman. Secondly, why would you apply early Christian church rules (Paul’s rules) from a Hellenistic regional setting 2000 thousand years ago to today’s Christian church setting in the U.S.? Paul was dealing with an organizational cultural nightmare in establishing the early church with the gathering of all kinds of gentile people with Christians of Jewish background (Men have to be circumcised). Finally, I have issues with conservative Christians thinking that they know what God’s mind is like but remember what scripture states what God told Isaiah in Isaiah 55: 8-9. @@StayBiblical

@@100hm43700 This is still an entirely different matter. She was a witness and told people what she witnessed without usurping authority over them. The word of God is very clear on its order and how things are to be done. People who dont want to accept it, will always find a reason to do so. You are free to disregard the word of God, as paul said. But you will also have to deal with its consequences.

The priesthood of women has been a subject of discussion within various religious institutions for centuries. Historical evidence suggests that in ancient societies, there were esteemed lineages of female priests. However, with the rise of Catholicism, it became apparent that the priesthood became a means of power and wealth accumulation. Consequently, the role of priesthood was exclusively reserved for men. It is worth noting that during the time when Jesus Christ was present in the world two millennia ago, he treated both men and women as equals.
