Are You a LUKEWARM Christian? 

Room temp Christian here! I do my Bible study, pray, go to church. But I work in an office all day. So this Saturday I'm volunteering! I'm helping at a store I'm gonna let my light shine so everyone can see the glory of God!

Every time I hear the final "Jesus loves you" my eyes burst into tears.

Im new to Christianity and this is really helping me, Thank you!!

I always watch these “are you a lukewarm Christian?” Vids thinking I am. But then I come to the realization that I am literally on FIRE for God! I could not be more relieved! I pray that everyone who is here turns to become an on fire child of God! ❤❤ Jesus loves you!

I was lukewarm. I then lost my wife to divorce, our 18motnh daughter taken away for 50/50 custody and I have been struggling in my loneliness and love for them. My faith is stronger than ever now and I pray for my family to be restored. Please pray with me

I gave my life to Jesus back in 2021 but I fell into sin very hard that I was living in depression and anxiety for 3 years and I could hear the enemy telling to end my life all because I was saved (when he actually wanted to commit suicide). I didn't know what to do until I had this feeling to text my friend, who helped me with accepting Jesus as my Savior back then, on what to do and I did and she told me that Jesus loves me and He wants me to go back to Him. I was so ashamed to see His face and asked His forgiveness because I thought He doesn't want me anymore. Then I went to RU-vid and your video on "What To Do When God feels Distant" was recommended to me and I was able to go back to Him. And I've read my Bible and pray like I should've and now I found healing. And I feel joy that I never felt before. And I could feel God's presence again. I wanna thank you guys for your videos. Keep sharing God's love and Discipling people. ❤🙏

I've been a lukewarm Christian for years, but I thank Jesus for He called me during difficult period where I lost my way. Now I understand that as a sinner I always need to repent and turn back to God. Thanks to His Holy Spirit who guides me to His way, I'll be able to get up and keep following Jesus. I know that our works cannot saved ourselves, but only having faith in Jesus we can be saved. Thank you Jesus for saving me 🙏❤️

I also noticed people who are lukewarm don't really share God's work, as much, and don't care to be open about him, while a Christian who definitely fears him wouldn't be as scared, like how Jesus died for us, being open in who he was.

I'm a 14 year-old girl and I also wanna say - this was a great video for me to watch today. I have been kinda prioritizing secular needs instead of spiritual. My brother was diagnosed with lung & leg cancer and instead of praying about it or doing anything like that I just shoved everyone away and tried to keep everything together. But now my uncle just passed away and my family was gathering and praying for him to go to heaven and I realized that I had been ignoring God for the last year and that I need to get back into reading my bible and leaning on God in my everyday journey. Thank you for reminding me that I should be focusing more on my spiritual walk with Jesus. (Btw I'm a new subscriber :)

Honestly, I feel like most churches today are lukewarm. And I feel that sometimes I’m hot or cold. Hopefully I can grow stronger in faith and character in dark times.

I have been lukewarm. I started going to Bible study once a week and the more I'm involved in the church and around other believers, hearing their own journey and struggles, the more I learn. We pray for each other and build a friendship.

I feel like I have just started to Understand What Jesus' Death means for me about a year ago. Although I still sin, instead of forgetting God's name I go straight to him for forgiveness. Although I do not do as much as I should as a Christian, I am taking it one step at a time and still try to remember God first above all else.

Hi❤ I'm a very young kid who has felt the need to get closer to God, I listen to the Bible in the morning and in the night I pray every night, I used to say 5 prayers at night and I did that for months but I realised that I wasn't speaking with my heart I have stopped promoting arguments and drama in group chats etc. Yet I still feel quite distant from God I feel like he isn't answering me, so if I am frozen or a fire my answer would be that I am neither, I am in the process of making a fire, I'm walking away from evil slowly but I feel like I am not walking fast enough I feel like I should be running towards God so I ask you to help me ignite my fire to help me to run towards God and to help me to everlasting life. I have been lounging around doing nothing for the past few weeks now, and I have had this feeling that I need to get closer to God, but I never did anything about it. I have been struggling with being committed to God ever since I found Christ last year, and this advice is great. I am going to pray, read my Bible (that I haven't opened for way too long), and contact my church to find out how to get baptized now. Thank you for posting this!

God has spoken to me through this video. I had no idea what a Lukewarm Christian was and now i understand i need to get closer to God.

This is one of your best uploads. Sometimes it can sting a bit to be convicted by the Holy Spirit, but as you stated, this is what the Lord will do with someone he loves. I love also that you not only address the issue, but give multiple ways to correct yourself and get back on track. Your channel is a blessing, work and school have given me excuses to neglect my walk with Christ and this video helped me wake up out of my apathy. It will always be a challenge to not let the business of life get in the way of our relationship with Jesus but I’m encouraged to have RU-vidrs like you here the share the gospel

The part about “cold faith” finally makes sense!

Weather we think we are luke warm or on fire the truth is we could always use more time in prayer and in good works to glorfy God. Even if you feel like youre giving all of yourself, give more. Study more, pray more. Just my opinions though.

I came to this video thinking I wasn't lukewarm. I read a couple of verses in the bible a day, I pray about 4 times a day, (Either to bless my food or to talk to God), And i've been wondering if it was signs of being Lukewarm. But when I saw this video and how you mentioned my affecting of other people, I really started to wonder. Thank you for this video man, it always helps and puts a smile on my face. I thank my Father in heaven that I found your channel. One of the questions I often ask myself is “Do I love Jesus? Is He my top priority in my life?”, and sadly, my answer often came to “No”. Honestly, even though I feel that God has led me through a lot of highs and lows, I always felt like exactly what you said, that I haven’t really done anything with my faith. It terrified me, but I’ve learned that part of that reason was because I was living in sin. I just recently had to let go of one of my old favorites because I never felt good reading it, even though it was still fun to me. It’s still hard letting go, so pray for me that I’ll be able to overcome my fleshly desires. Thanks to this video, I realize that I am more zealous for God than I gave myself credit for! I still have a lot to learn and adapt to, but just caring about what God wants for me is a good first step! I realized from this video that Jesus wasn’t saying this to punish His believers but prepare them and correct them because the times that those churches reflected also reflect this time now. We are in the Last Days of the Last Days or End Times, and God is preparing His believers to be a witness and carry the poured out power that the Spirit has given us! I think I’ve been lukewarm for a long time and I just was too young to even care, so now that I’ve realized it, it is difficult to battle against the enemy. I feel like before I became more closer to God it was easier for the enemy to manipulate me. Now that I’m closer to God he is having to fight. Last night I committed the sin that I’ve tried to break free from the longest. It’s like my flesh is messing up my spiritual growth. I know that we’re not perfect, but to be lukewarm is not a good feeling.

I am really struggling with lukewarm Christianity.I am tired and i hate myself a little bit.I know God is calling me to share the Gospel at school but i don't listen,i am scared.And yes i am not so good at praying or reading the Bible.I feel like a fool. I want to quit but i can't,i know trough God ALL things are possible and i pray for deliverence and God to save me but idk i just am sad for my spiritual being because i see that it is not so good. Thank you for this man! I feel whenever I distract myself or choose to not focus on God and do what I desire, I lose a bit of that fire for him. And then go into a spiral of doubt and disappointment to where it’s restricting, but the second I stop and choose anything revolving around God whether it be this, worship him, go to church or talk with my family it goes away and I remember that God still loves me and understands my every intention! He’s so good to where I don’t give him enough credit!!!

Thank you for this, this was so timely. I was convicted a few days ago how my faith hasn't been as active as I wanted it to be and this video helped me realize what being lukewarm is like. It hurt being convicted of this, but God disciplines those He loves and I'm now making efforts to seriously grow in my faith. God bless!

This was so beautiful and instead of the condemnation that I was feeling about being lukewarm, I am now convicted I’m going to go study the word of God. God knows how to get our attention I love Jesus and how he lovingly corrects.

I may not go to church every sunday, I may not read the bible every day, but I accept God, and he has chnaged me for the better. He has given me so much and this is my payment, even though its not enough. He has made me better and happier.

Christ said to the Church of Laodicea in Revelations that they were being lukewarm. Little story: the water that came to the near cities was either hot or cold, so useful in both cases (hot for boiling food, cold for drinking). The water that came to Laodicea was lukewarm, cause it was really distant from water sources. So Jesus is basically telling to the Church of Laodicea that they were not being useful to the plan of the Lord. He would have spat em out, meaning He would declare them a church no more. Look how we are talking about a group here, a church, and NOT individuals. Cause remember, we cannot lose our salvation! (Romans 4:4-5. John 10:28. John 6:39. 2 Timothy 2:13)❤✝️ God bless

I’ve been struggling with my discipline for God lately. Just now I was trying to read the Bible, but I couldn’t get myself to do it, so I opened RU-vid and this was the first thing I saw! I love these small little incidents that happen cause it just shows me that God sees my struggles and he wants to help!

I really, REALLY needed this video. I've been more involved with God for just under a year and a half now, and most of it has been prayers throughout the day as well as a bible study guided walkthrough of the Bible and listening to videos like these during eating times for guidance. I've also been giving to the food bank, water charity and my church each month, but nothing has been very outgoing, even at church where I just go for the service then leave after ten or so minutes of talking due to social anxiety. I've always felt things were lukewarm and I've wanted to change that, but it feels like I'm binded to chains that don't let me do that. I've never wanted to use my ASD or relative newcomerish status (and bible wise I've only got to 1 Corin.) as excuses, yet I don't know whether to wait until I feel/hear something or step forward with what I have now considering tomorrow is never guaranteed. I've managed to slowly peel my life away from being so game centric, but I always feel every second that none of this is enough. Your video has been a good step in the right direction, and I really want to thank you for all the videos you make but especially this one. I think I'll try my best to go through each step here in depth and really work things out and try to grow more, but at the end of the day I really need to be pushed closer towards Him and His will for me, whatever it may be.

When I 1st was saved I was on fire for God but now that fire isn’t really there any more. I’m about 3 years on now and I get distracted by the world more to often. Then I come back and get on fire for a while then I go back to being distracted again. I need to overcome this cycle. I’m also a dreadful sinner! This video is a good video for me. I was worried that something was wrong as I’m not as on fire I was.

Thankyou for this video. I have been thinking about this a lot lately. God answered my prayer through this video because I realize now that my church I used to attend never explained this verse this way, and your description makes completely sense from the perspective of Jesus. my mother is lukewarm and she doesnt listen to me when i tell her being lukewarm isnt a good thing. she i proud to say that she is lukewarm. she wears inappropiate clothes, her boyfriend as well is lukewarm, she leaves and comes home the next day and when people confront her about it she tells them she is her own big woman, she's not trying to change, she has sex outside marriage, she treats me unfairly, etc. i pray that God opens her eyes and guides her down his path. i pray that he protects her, helps her realize she needs him in her life. its really hard on me especially as a 13 year old girl that doesnt really have her dad in her life and sometimes her mom but i know im going to make it through this.

This has to be one of the best explanations of this passage i have heard. I never bought into the whole interpretation of being cold to god is better than being indifferent to god. I always read it like what you interpret it as that it has to do with thinking you dont need to preach the word thats what the preachers job is nor do you need to encourage fellow believers because thats gods job so your job is to just learn but do nothing. Which falls into the parable of the man who hid away the talent instead of doing business with it.
